I believe that most of the cars at Ron Fellows are fully optioned 3LT / 3LZ. The Grand Sport that I drove was fully optioned. They only keep the cars for about 8,000 miles and then sell them on. Walking the property you'll see cars parked off to the side with a little 3x5 card on the dash saying "do-not-drive...high mileage"...I was thinking 40k....but the instructors said that they sell them on after 8k. They put the usual 500 miles, do the oil change, put about another 1k on the cars, and them put them into service. The Grand Sport I drove on day one had 1,600 miles on it and the instructor said that it was the second class for the car.
Ron Fellows is a BUCKET LIST item......if you have any doubt....trust me....GO!!!!!!!
The ZR1's are not owned by Ron GM owner them and had them driven up there. Will be interesting to see when I get up there.
As of last weekend...they have 14 of them on-site. I've been looking forward to seeing my first ZR1....but then I saw 14....pretty impressive. I heard that the drive out from the plant was pretty interesting with the OEM tires....kinda sketchy in the rain/snow/weather.
Other cars that are in the same price range as the ZR1 are the new R8, Acrua NSX, Mclaren 570s and Porsche Type S. The ZR1 is insanely impressive when you consider how it stacks up in performance against all of the cars I just named.

Chuck love the new car. I got on 169 north bound on the ba the other day and saw two vets in my rear view mirror do a 2 lane change over to the passing lane. When you flew by me I told my wife there goes fearlis. It was awesome 😎
Gas Guzzler tax IS the fleecing of America. I get 30 mpg in my Z06. My wife's turbo 4 doesn't do that well..still love mine, no matter😊

Glad to hear your getting better gas mileage than some are. I had heard Streetspeed 717 mention his car gets poor mileage, but we all know he runs the hell out of it.
I had to laugh when you were describing the difference between the color of you Zo6 and the ZR1! The big exhale you took said it all!!!! Black is beautiful but it takes a lot of work to keep it looking that way. And then its only for about 20 minutes until you get a layer of dust on it! I knew you were going to love the ceramic gray! Enjoy buddy!

The port injection is being used to remove excess carbon build up on the back of the intake valves that the GDI can not do. Nice review there Chuck!

Chuck, I was following you way back when you had the Z06 and always loved your content. In fact, I was thinking about you yesterday and then I came across this video today that I remember from years ago. I am now in a position to purchase a one owner C7 ZR1 that has ~ 3100 miles on it so I have been watching a ton of videos on it. I also had a C7Z06 and currently have a 2024 Z06 and a 60th Anniversary C6Z06. I really like both but have been disappointed with the lack of torque on the C8Z. I think the C7 ZR1 will be the sweet spot for me. Thanks much for the video and content, Sir!

Great video and very informative. When you think about it. Even though you’re at 141K you don’t really have to do anything else to it unless you really want more power gains. Most people that get a Z06 or stingray spend about 30K in mods over the time that they’ve had it when you see them selling in on Craigslist and so on. It’s not hard to justify just spec’ing the car out just how you want it through the dealer. You’re right, in the end it’s not a major difference in costs.

Great VLOG Chuck!! We had a dual ZR1 reveal Party last week at my dealership Rick Hendricks! A Coupe and a Convertible. They were nice, but not Ceramic Matrix Gray like ours. We had several clubs there and every one drove their Vettes. CRBN65 was still a total head Turner! FEARLIS is one Awesome machine!!

The new ZR1 is crazy beautiful. Although the Black Mamba was like watching black liquid butter rolling down the street, the new ZR1 is simply beautiful. And, I am sure it is much easier to keep clean. I agree on the guzzler tax. I took a 200 mile trip on the tollway at 70-75 MPR an the trip computer said 31 MPG! We are being taken advantage of, to put it nicely.

Great video, love that exhaust note. Chuck, chevy came out with a cold air intake for the ZR1 they call it (Jake) supposedly the air filter is dry not oil, and you get to keep your factory warranty. Chevy claims a 17 HP gain in the ZR1, 10 and the Z06 and 7 in the Stingray.
I seen that. I am sure I will put one on in the near future just because it looks awesome

Great video. You'll find the cars at Ron Fellows are all fully loaded. The Z06 I drove had way more than my car. I found the only thing I liked better were the competition seats and alcantara stearing wheel.

IF I was ever able to own this beautiful legend, I’d be torn between the auto and the manual on this specific vehicle... I’ve always owned manual sports cars and I told myself that I wouldn’t ever own a Z06 (or ZR1 for that matter) in auto once the option became available, but oh man!

Your ZR1 is freaking awesome! I'm being patient to see if the C8 gets some of the ZR1 technology. I would be blown away to see that level of performance in a mid-engine Vette!
Beautiful! I have a question, will GM ever bring back the Corvette ZL-1 and make it the most fastest and most powerful Corvette that would stay up with the Bugatti in a race? Since GM only built a few back in 1969, I believe they should bring back this very powerful Legend back and making the horsepower range in the mid 900's.

Howdy Chuck, First time viewer. Very nice job on the vid! Held my interest front to back with a lot of insight and nuances I would not have imagined for the ZR1 compared to the Z06. I've been saving for a little over a year now to buy my first Corvette, and as tough as my money comes these days, I was trying to reason between a Grand Sport and the extra $$ for a Z06. I held a Competition Race License for over 15 years and if given the choice, more power is always the right answer. After watching your vid, my sights have shifted and it seems the ZR1 is the only real choice! Keep up the good work! JT

Exhaust, cold air, pulley and tune does allot without having to spend a Fortune.

Mainly because because the Auto shifts much faster than I ever could and with doing allot of videoing with the vette one less to pay attention to. 😁
