My high school didn't even have it's own football field... The one football team my school had, had to share a field with another school and their games weren't big events everyone attended either.

i don't understand why these teams always take back flyer turned bases. there's no way their basing is as advanced as someone who's based their whole life. unless they have the best tumbling, which some of them don't, they aren't really the best asset to the team.
colleen teams are not just about stunting they are about tumbling aswell
Keeping Up With Crimson Crush i get that, and i mentioned tumbling too, i would understand if these flyers had the best tumbling why that would be taken back, but they don't always do. there are plenty of other athletes with the same tumbling skill set but have been basing all thier lives who would fit sure benefit the team in a more beneficial way?
colleen I used to kind of think that Ryan and Kenley from CEA were overrated but the thing about them both is that they can tumble, base and fly. I feel like if the sport means that much, you should explore all positions.
Michael Chacon the cea girls do base and fly, but the thing is ryan and kenley have been basing at a high level for a long time, from when they were on youth teams, they have extensive experience in both basing and flying. the smoed flyers have never based before and they are learning from the beginning on such a high caliber team. the point of these worlds teams are to have the people who are the best in their position and they aren't going to be the best bases with just a couple months of experience. they should be exploring new positions on lower level teams or at least a lower caliber level 5 team.
the coaches know they can handle being on such a high caliber team and they know they can step in as a flyer if needed

I can’t imagine letting an athlete back on the team who left mid season last year
I'd say it depends on the reason why they left. Injuries, mental health issues, sick family members etc. would be good reasons to me. Not enough dedication and motivation wouldn't be.
Everyone’s different. Coaches have bigger hearts than we think.

Violet Heroine oh definitely but I think I have to rewatch the episode but the teammates made it seem like she didn’t WANT to cheer again. Even if it’s chimmy and she’s like OG I would really have to sit down an athlete who fell out of love with cheer to see if they would really stay and not leave them in a bad place last year.
right! a girl was kicked out of the gym for going to an open gym across town because our gym is small and never has open gyms to be able to work on things so she went to the gym during an open gym she went with a couple friends (not from our gym but from her hs cheer team) to work on her tumbling and also their stunts on that team... you only get 1 hour of tumbling and that is shared with 8 other athletes and its drills not tumbling we tumble in tumble practice the last 15 minutes and like i said its shared with 8 other athletes so we only get 2-3 passes of one on one with the coach and then we have to leave because the next level is coming in.

Maybe the reason Athena lacks confidence is that Orby critisize her all the time in front of everyone... Just saying.
I don't think that it's just Athena you know. It is the coach's role to tell how to dothings on a different POV. I'm pretty much sure everyone gets the same approach.
@@jlhoydv1441 yeah, he is. But I think that a good coach is able to approach the athlete in a way that suits them. If he knows that she struggles with confidence, he should behave like that. Yeah, I'm all for pushing the athletes and tough love, but sometimes you need a different approach when you know an athlete is struggling.
@@TheDeeSDeeS Point taken but 16min footage doesn't sum up Orby's coaching towards his team. There is so much more behind all of these. Cause if Orby behaves in that way alone then I don't think they would be able to produce passionate and effective athletes like Kassidy, Hailey, Smoed Alums etc.

I’ve done everything in stunts basing is so much harder than flying especially as far as pressure goes it gets so annoying to watch the flyers complain so much

i've done both as well, I think basing is harder in the physical part, you need technique and strengh, but flying is hard in the mental part, it's your face, if you fall, it's you who's falling, it's a lot of pressure
Both are difficult, but in different ways
I feel like it’s different. I’ve always been a base, but we use different muscles. Flyers need incredible core, leg, and hip strength, whereas bases need core, legs, and arms. In varying amounts. We are all super strong.
Plus flyers have to be super tight, whereas bases can kinda wobble and move their feet and still be ok, just not perfect. Plus the fears are different. I’m scared someone will fall on my head. Flyers are scared they’ll fall in their head. We’re all scared of extreme injury.
Cheer is just great no matter what

I feel bad for Carissa. Having my daughter at ICE now, I see how they are. If you aren’t under 5 ft, your chances of continuing to fly are slim to none. So glad she gets the chance to fight to fly. I hope with Kenzie gone, we see her in the air for good! Such a beautiful flyer!

Dude kinda triggered when she said flyers had the hardest job and were smoed. Sorry girl but if it weren't for bases and spots you wouldnt be able to be in the freaking air.
But you have to get it from a flyers point of view because the also have pressure on them not saying bases don’t but if a stunt comes down it’s no notices the bases but are first to call out the flyer that falls so in a way both can be hard I’m just saying
none of your bussines every single person is important in a stunt group no matter what! I’m a base and third and if it weren’t for them the stunt wouldn’t even happen... that being said the stunt still wouldn’t happen if there was no flyer.

I did cheer for 3 years...i think everything is the hardest job😂 I couldn't be a flyer if my life depended on it. But it also requires hella strength for a base too throwing & catching girls every few seconds..those girls do not be light lemme tell you 😂
I dont think there’s a “hardest job”.. some bases screw up badly, and a flyer doesn’t do anything wrong, but flyers also screw up and dont stay locked and whatnot. if bases couldn’t keep the stunt leveled on both sides, the stunt would most likely go down

Lmao ari acts like she was the best flyer on SMOED. Gurlllll your stunt group was the most inconsistent and you either fell or bobbled at almost every single competition including worlds. Sophie deserved that center spot not only was she the most consistent but she is a way better flier than ari when it comes to technique and performing
And flying probably is the hardest mentally but basing is definitely harder physically. LMAO she acts like it’s the hardest job.... bases put in the same amount of work as well as backspots

How is ari acting like was the best flyer she was a pretty great flyer in the past seasons because she did have a needle at one point something I haven’t seen Sofia do also in the past seasons ari did keep her stunts in the air because she did have pretty great bases also they won worlds and so far this season they haven’t been on top of their game midnight is really sweeping the floor (not saying smoed doesn’t have a chance) so imagine if they don’t win worlds at least ari was a part of a winning title with her teammates many people doubted her and she still managed to pull it off don’t bring one person down to bring another up because you never know Sofia might drop a stunt 🤦🏽♀️💯
