I basically no-brained Eddy to blue by spamming things like ff3, neg mixups, and whiff punishing with df3. After this guide I feel like I actually know how to play the character safely. Really appreciate the context given to each move and the situations in which they're useful/optimal. Insta subscribe! I'm coming for Tekken King now.
7:00 this part is hilarious hahahaah. Thank you so much for this guide! This is very very helpful as an Eddy player, i will definitely be pulling from this a lot. It is good to hear why you use certain moves and not also. Great video, looking forward to any gameplay you release in the future.
Thank you for this! gained some new insights. Don't play as much as before so my learning curve for T8 Eddy has been slow. Struggling to play him in high elo/tournament settings. Good stuff!
Great guide! I'd just add a few things to: 1,3 i think is not a good punish as it leaves too far to threaten the hellsweep, they can just backdash and punish you for attempting it, same situation for heat smash on block. 1,2f at least gives you handstand for HND1 I believe RLX4,3 is not hit confirmable for mixup purposes, twitch confirm for sure, but hitconfirm as your safe mid option, impossible to get it, was just trying it with random blocks in practice.
@@aren5900 well me personally, i can get it on hit confirm like 95% of the time. And also 1,3 i still believe is a good punish because most people are conditioned not to press after being punished that way that it lets you crawl up to them a do a hellsweep. But if they like to press after, then hit em with the 4,3 lol but ty!
there is something wrong with Eddy b2,3,3 string. In Tekken 7 it made sense since the second hit was 0 on block and the 3rd hit was interuptible, however in tekken 8 the second hit on block is punishable at -11 i think and the last hit is stil interuptible. so since the secodn hit is pumishable on block the last hit shouldnt be interruptible. 😢
I played Eddy for decades, and I'm really going through it for adjusting and erasing all that muscle memory from old habits that no longer work from previous tekkens. Hsp 3 high crushing the jab is new knowledge to me, very good work. Opponents love to Jab eddy out of hsp at high level play, especially if they know the matchup. They also love d1 to interrupt, (d**k jab) any advice?
@@Eddy_Kusanagi hey! I appreciate you watching! And yes, for a dick jab i would assume you go into negativa to counter that after going into handstand! Then hit them with that nasty mixup
Somebody needs to tell me Up1+2 is useless for Eddy in T8 And df3+4 is useless as well whereas these were the most effective moves in T7 Can't believe it they gavenothing to Eddy except ff3 lol And moreover these moves I mentioned nobody uses as a pro Pls help
@@singeringstar5096yeah, u 1+2 is really not that useful. But df 3+4 is pretty decent i guess if theres a floor break cause its an instant floor break move
@@nomar123 thanks for your feedback i knew it you would agree with me but I hoped you would tell me the trick for that move to be useful ( I used this move multiple times in T7! Is there a chance this move will be effective like before in future? And better than df3+4 is ...d2,3 i guess for floor breaks ...probably everyone uses that so do I I

Hey man!! I appreciate the comment! Im glad you enjoyed the video :))
@@nomar123 a great way to CH fish since the 333 is guaranteed on CH just wish it were hit confirmable
@@jclarke90 I actually do believe it is hit confirmable! But if im wrong, the third hit definitely is :)
@@nomar123 oh yea it definitely is ! And the huge hit spark on the first hit also let’s you know to let the who string rip ✊🏾
