OMG! Was my reaction when I watched this for the first time way back in 1974. I'd already like them after hearing Seven Seas of Rhye and knew even back then that they were going to be a huge worldwide known band.

Actually, the song's 'bout a former EMI producer who Freddie was tryin' to get next to but couldn't as the man was str8 which is why he was a 'killer queen!' He says so in a few documentaries 'n as ridiculous as it sounds, I believe him.

This is from a BBC tv show Top of the Pops which aired on a Thursday evening showing the UK top 40 records of the week. They hated appearing on this show. They are not playing their instruments and Freddie is lip syncing. This is partly why they created the video to Bohemian Rhapsody as they were on tour and didn’t want to be on the show.
