- Having a little fun and challenging myself while loading, unloading, and setting tanks for a good customer of ours using our Peterbilt 389X with Miller Industries, Century 1150R rotator towing & recovery unit #11 and our Pete 337, Miller Industries LCG12 rollback unit #15 (tilt tray or slide bed). Something a little different for a change. Had some fun "fishing" this tank on the line. You'll see what I mean. Thanks for watching and God bless!!!

Please note: I performed the "belly-wrap" on the tank securement incorrectly in this video. I noticed it during editing and should have written a comment into the video. I am human and I make mistakes. Apparently I was in too big of a hurry to move the tank and didn't notice my mistake at the time. Thankfully, the other securements kept the tank from moving. The straps should have crossed over the top and came DOWN rather than from the bottom of the tank. Again, I am human, I make mistakes, and I am humble enough to admit my mistakes. I don't want anyone watching this video to make the same mistake I did. Unfortunately, my mistake seems to be the only thing that some people want to take away from this video. So be it. I messed up and I admit it. I have learned from it and moved forward. Thanks for watching and God bless.
Ron, The best mistakes a person can make are the ones that result in no harm no foul. I've made my share of mistakes during my 61 years on this earth. The majority of the mistakes (learning experience) I have made haven't been repeated as I always try to do better. Besides trying to kick one's self in the butt for the same mistake is pretty challenging. 😲
I hope that you and your family stay safe and healthy.
Don’t worry about the critics! You always do a great job and I learn a lot from you.
Hey Ron looking for a job after the military u need anyone
Ah, that makes more sense. We all make mistakes (usually when in a hurry). Thanks for the clarification
Yeah I noticed the tank too. I've learned a decent bit about flatbed securement and while laws in your state may allow cross chaining/strapping. I would HIGHLY discourage that. Please watch this video and see this simple demonstration that shows potential effects in plain and simple words and physics. czcams.com/video/TIC7URvAqmM/video.html. I love everything you do however, I love learning heavy wrecker work!
Never a minute wasted when Ron is on the job!
Ron, you must of played a lot of those Arcade Crane / Claw Games you find at the store when you were a young boy… ; ) Nice job hooking the tank on this job…!
I had the same thought about those amusement park arcade games.
Another job done to perfection by Ron, David and Tator. That was tank ballet.
It’s good to see David again, he’s a bigger guy than I thought he was
The best part was watching you thread the needle!! Great job Ron!!
I agree
I bet I wasn't the only one holding their breath while Ron was trying to snag the tank with the blue hook.
My eyes were glued to the screen. :-)
Just about went blue in the face..
Hey guys! Between holding my breath and tensing my neck and shoulder muscles plus grinding my jaw I got a full cardio experience out of that lift!
Nice work Ron and David!!
I was on the edge of my seat! 😬
That was pretty sweet with the hook. I was sitting here thinking "there's no way"
It was cool but a ladder would have been quicker. Of course this made for a better video. 😉
His way was safer
never underestimate Ron's skills with the Tator. That man can probably use the tator to thread a needle and then darn a sock using just the tator.
I am just amazed at all the different "jobs" that you do. Pretty creative and good marketing for the Truck Manufacturer. Showcases so many different ways that their equipment can be used outside of just rescuing vehicles! Being able to grab that bracket with the hook-- shows just how much you have mastered doing what you do! Mad skills for sure!
Most definitely! :-)
i have all ways knew you and your crew have skills but hooking that top hook on this tank just finshes off that thought for sure
Ron u are an absolutely gentle and knowledgeable entrepreneur, who knows exactly what the job entails and how to undertake the operation with no hitches well done.
Awesome , I used to think the dryer was shrinking my clothes , turns out it’s the refrigerator , Thanks Ron
Gotta say I am impressed that you hooked it without the ladder A+
Friday is the BEST day of the week.
Good morning everyone.
Stay safe with hurricane henri approaching.
We might get hit hard here in New England.
Hooking the tank with the boom -- Miller needs to use that clip in their marketing for the Raptor controls.
Brings back memories of removing/installing oil/gasoline tanks, removing/setting in ground automotive lifts, spotting mobile homes, unloading spools of gas filled underground phone cables, and all the other non towing jobs that I did and that you still do. ANY TIME, ANY WHERE, ANY THING, more than just a motto. FREE TIP; Setting mobile homes with toter disconnected,. I used an old cutter wheel off a disc with a pipe welded in the center hole for the tongue jack and a hole blown in the edge for my hook. Curved face of disc wheel slides like butter allowing you to spot the front of the mobile home.
I came here because I heard that there is a gentleman who is good at crane games.
Arcades put out the "Closed" sign when they see Ron walking in.
@@trex2092 hahahaha
He does have a couple years experience under his belt running a tow truck, then of course they've had tator for 3 or 4 years now, he is the primary operator of tator, so it stands to reason why he's so good at it!!😄
Happy Friday everyone!
This brings a whole new meaning to the crane game
It's not always about cars and lives, it's about this too. T'anks for another good video Ron
It's fun to watch David work. He's really come a long ways as a tow and recovery person.
He has since left.
" Bulls eye " on the hook 🔗👍👍👍👍👍 👏
Your operation went as smooth as a baby's behind. Very professional.love Your videos.
Boy I'm glad you got that hooked, I couldn't hold my breath much longer...LOL
37:10 If it didn't bend the BOOM, it isn't HEAVY - 🚧 LOL 👌 Thanks Bud, Keep on Keeping it real !!!!. Stay Safe..
"tanks" a lot. Love the colorful rope of the tag line.
Nice work getting that hook in that eye
Another job handled with ease by your team. Great job, Ron and David.
" tanks " for bringing us along for this job , Ron ! Have a great weekend everyone !
Hello Mr. Ron thank you for sharing your video's I think it you have got to be one of the best Towtruck Driver's I have seen on CZcams. I had watched you pick up certain accident scenes and have a time that I watched others with similar things and cannot figure out what they're supposed to do and take someone out just to look at it and figure it out Will you take 30 minutes and you're already picking stuff up and moving stuff off street and off the woods and everywhere else What a difference. That's why I like your channel and also what you say to very beginning you include everybody at the beginning say your prayers are well wishes basically and not saying I want you to pay for this person or not whatever you feel like you want to do it's awesome Thank you so much for being that way. So keep up with your job I like your videos again and maybe God bless you and your family along with your crew as well. ❤️🙏🏻🇺🇸
Purty slick Big Ron!
Hooking the blue hook was one of those moments that no one would believe if it wasn't recorded. When I first heard the hissing inside the building, I thought the tator had sprung a leak. You should cut a V notch in a couple of the blocks for rounded objects like this to be able to sit things like this down into to give these things more support to help keep them from rolling. Thank you for another great video. God bless to you, your family and your crew.
Good Morning Mr Ron Pratt Sir & God Bless You & You're Whole Family & Staff Today
Thank You Everyone
Ron; I see you are searching for good help! I had luck with local juco’s and trade schools hiring qualified interns! Make friends with the teaching staff and they will screen the good candidates! This helped me to find very good local candidates who had experiences with work ethics and were searching for work close to extended family!! Good hunting!!
I enjoy your exploits and challenges!!!🤓
I would recommend anybody watching his videos first to see his work style before they started with him. Tremendous amount of respect for his faith work ethic and family. But I think he wants to watch his videos to understand how he wants things done. Save some Heart ache. Again at most respect for him and his business. I have learned a lot. Disabled country boy Northeast Missouri.
I always am in awe of these weight lifts.
Great Job Ron & David. Great team work, good clear communication. That's important in a job like this. The tank my only be 5,000 pounds, but thats STILL alot of weight & can easily hurt you. I was happy to see you cross chaining the back & after you first unloaded the tank you saw a problem you set it down & fixed the problem. Thats a good operator! God bless you & Everyone at Midwest Truck.
T'anks for the vid....I was ready for a new one.
All I can say is"slick", the usage of geometry and physics for lifting and setting the tank is quite mind boggling, that's where Tater comes to play lol nice job Mr Pratt, God bless be safe and watch out for motorcyclists little kids and little old ladies going to Bingo
Tator's favorite subjects are geometry and physics.
You missed the perfect opportunity at your ending....Tank You! Tank You Very Much!!!
Good morning everyone.
Well done sir, like watching you figure out the right angels to do the job at hand. As always be. Peace.🇺🇸
@Ron Pratt, so happy to see a new video, I hope you are well from your "former" sickness. Thank you very much for showing your fans what you do.
Nice job "fishing" with the hook. Gotta love those speed binders Ron.
Hey Ron, it's like my ole shop foreman use to say "Keep a truck clean and maintenanced, she'll run forever!!
Hey Tator and Ron ......y'all have fun while staying safe
Lookit you with them feeeancy chain binders!! 👍👍👍🤣🤣🤣
dearer. Your channel, you're a good man.
Good morning from Southeast South Dakota
I am impresed how you hooked the tank. I was waiting for you to really impress by unhooking the same way.
Thank you Ron for a great video. Enjoyed it. Always looking forward to another one👍🇨🇦
Good morning Mr. Ron hope everything going great be safe out there prays for your employees and family have a bless day. Form Oxford,Ms
Why do y'all find it necessary to be so rude and hateful to this man? He is a good person doing his job and always accommodating. I don't get it.
That's really slick using the impact. Saves a lot of shoulder movement and strain.
You will miss your son Ron. May the Lord you and your wive al the strength in the future, from me Peter and my wive Ellen in Holland in Europe.
Crazy to see what it con do. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend Ron. Keep towing. Keep recovering. Keep making. Tow on. God bless.
How are you doing today young man it's been awhile since I watched a video of you doing what you are great with stay safe out there Young Man 😎
TANKS, I was wondering if it would be an Abrams MA3 ! Friday would be very different then ! Have a good week end, God bless
I'd love to see the tator lift one of those.
unless they stripped a lot of stuff off first, an Abrams would be too heavy to lift. The Tator tops out at 50t.
Nice that those turnbuckle binders have an ability to be tightened with a drill/impact driver, saves a lot of time and work. Practicing for a single lane inversion roll by flipping that tank up and down.
There's always a sense of pride when a job is completed to the satisfaction of the customer. Well done. :-)
Always look foward to new videos
Greetings from India 🇺🇲🇮🇳
Dang Ron, when you're good you're good. What patience and finesse you have. I am always amazed at your skill and knowledge. I guess with all the years of experience you have you could just about do some of that stuff blindfolded. Love your videos always. God bless and stay safe.
Another great video from Ron with his extraordinaire side kick David. Great job as always. Enjoyed watching.
Tator tank casserole for lunch!
Tanks alot for the great video Ron. God bless
Great job guys .......👍👍👍👍👍
Awesome job on hooking that 2 inch hole with ur hook. For jobs like that u need a 6x6 long enough to go across most of the bed and be curved out so acts like a cradle
Great job threading the eye of that needle Ron! Pretty darn 😎!
When I read the title I was hoping to be military version not storage LOL the other one would be more fun
Ron Pratt does it again!
The man wins the stuff teddy bear
GOOD JOB SIR
RON, Good afternoon, a very interesting pick, then replace @ new location , good weather for this , stay well God Bless, 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I love how Mr. Ron's notification happens at just abt the right times lol. Another awesome video. Good job. And God bless y'all also.
"A thing of beauty is a joy forever." (Even an old tank!)
Good hook on that top one!
Preciate Ron and crew....as always I enjoy the vids ✝️🇺🇸 SALUTE y'all and God bless ✝️
Hands of a surgeon
Another satisfied customer! Great job 👍 ! The two of you worked like a well oiled machine. It's always good to have well trained crew and you train them well.
Keep the great videos coming
Thanks for sharing and God bless
It is definitely an acquired skill to hook that stationary tank with a swivel hook. You can definitely fish, and that is an oversized swivel fishing pole on the Tator. 😎😎😎
It is an acquired skill. That said... If Ron does this often enough, he may want to look in to a remote hook. (It's a hook that can open and close remotely. With the right setup it makes it ridiculously easy to grab a load from some distance.)
Hallo from Albania
Nice work
Now we no what Ron does at home in spare time playing video games
Yippee its Friday and Tator time
I bet the crane game operators at the carnivals hate to see you coming!!! ha. "sky fishing" for a tank... never thought I'd see that.. :)
Thank you Ron, for an excellent video! This one will have a second, third, and probably a fourth viewing! Stay safe, God bless.😀
It was dry, warm, and you could see what you were doing! That always helps!
Ron good job as always. Poor Tator sounds like the support legs need clean and lubed. Ron you could have used auxiliary winch with your main 2 to lift it off of the rollback and to stand it up
i was picturing that myself, but he got it done...
Always learning something new watching your videos. Tanks for sharing ;-P
WHAT A HOOKER! GREAT JOB RON!
"Tanks" for the video. (and all the other videos, too.)
Come on you can do it. See I know you could do it. Good Job!!!!!!
TANKS FOR THE MEMORIES!
9:53 Ron is just an extension of the Tator. Wow. Bet Ron mops up on those arcade games. I stand in awe.
Ok that was nice with the hook....but uncapped that bottle next time !
That looks like like something Space X might own. 😊
It's always better to work smart and not hard.
Another great video and learning experience, thank you again.stay safe and blessed.
I'm sure they will be Tank-full !
Absolutely outstanding control sir . . .
