2K would only “improve” a feature in the game if it makes them more money. Trusting them to do a good job with the player market from the start was the community’s biggest mistake. We should have known! 😅😅

Not trying to send y’all, but anybody believed that is crazy that was the meaning of the end which is why people should’ve been outraged when the auction house went away. I will say there were flaws with System but this is way worse.
Imagine a guy who just started playing myteam whose favorite player is Kyrie Irving, and he runs into Opal Kyrie online. He goes “oh I want that card, how do I get him?” And he hears back “oh you just can’t. No amount of money can get you him. I got lucky a month ago.” That’s how it is for almost every big name at this stage for their top tier cards
Thats how I feel about the upcoming DM Booker. Will luckily be stuck with the PD for the rest of the year. Hes great, but we all like being able to get the newest version of our favorite players.

I caved to this bullshit. I've spent a good bit of money this year after not having spent any money in the past, and I've gotten some pretty good cards... I truly am not having nearly as much fun as when I was NMS... Even when I get a card I'm stoked on, I feel gross: like I got got. I truly enjoyed the game more when I was NMS. Now everything is locked and I spend more time getting cards than actually using them. I sincerely believe the game is more fun without the gambling.
Maaaayyybbeee if it's a good set that locks for a DM, but the better cards I get, the less I enjoy the game. I now feel like I should win every game and it's simply not fun.
I can say that I sincerely enjoy the game more NMS or VERY little MS

@JayBee762 EXACTLY! Like going against dudes w rubies n whatnot, I feel shitty. I've always been the guy w the good budget cards looking to rock the AMS players and if I lost, it's to be expected. It truly is (for me) much more fun to work your roster around the better players and find hidden gems.
It's not fun to spend more time doing exchanges n shit just to lose to a budget cat who knows his players well and is having fun.
Unless you're like the tip 1% where you need every little advantage possible for comp, I sincerely think it's more enjoyable playing budget teams.

I feel you bro. I spent a little this year too. Nothing extravagant but ended up pulling DM Wemby out of a promo pack a few weeks ago end of last season. I feel despicable running him. Feel like I'm doing something wrong. Turn off mic sometimes bc I feel disgusting smh. Not to mention everyone is going at you so hard bc they want to throw shit in your face. Bro this thread hits to real i am a first time spender never was amazing at 2k just a smidge above a casual but , when i was nms over the past few 2ks i enjoyed the grind i spend more time exchanging extras to fill up jerseys courts and crap and then i get smoked by a series 2 kyrie in triple threat against my god squad i never rage quit 2k so fast i am not surprised either i dont put the time to learn cards anymore im just in menus ducking off instead of putting in the hours practice

And it hurts as well the people who spend thousands of dollars every year. They can complete their colection buying a lot of the card for almost free. This year they have to gamble their money for the good ones and spend tons for the bad ones…
i think its cause of the exchange market for packs need to trade in types of cards for pacs of they do rubys, dimoands or pink diamonds too low in cost the packs would be dirt cheap they shot themselves in the foot for that

Yeah, I don't see a future for the mode. I said last year that I wasn't buying the game this year, and I didn't until around Christmas, but people were genuinely happy with the game and it was half off so I thought why not. This feels different though. After they lied to our faces and proved that they can't be trusted controlling any market, I don't see a way forward. It makes me nauseous just thinking about forking over another $70 for next year's game...

I realized this in march. The good cards are never coming to player market. Why? Because they truly are "special inserts." 🙄 Removing the auction house destroyed the best aspect of this game, card collecting.

Said realization the whole point of this mode was to be able to use your favorite players and now its next to impossible sad really is how can you say cards will be more accessible this year yet all the BEST cards that will ever be released will only be obtainable from spending actual money AND STILL its all luck like how did we get to this point have to use cards i dont want to cause players i wanna play the game mode with i cant
I wish 2k didn’t release anything above 95-96 overall cards (even that feels too high in my opinion) anything higher feels like using hacks, the game becomes way too fast and too easy to score, it also makes cards under a pick diamond kind of useless, especially in 3v3 modes too much space for cards that move that fast.
Lower cards keeps the game some what challenging all these high cards ruin the fun for everyone, no one wants play against a team 99s because it’s miserable and people using a team of 99s aren’t really having fun because the games too easy and if both players have teams if 99s then they are both miserable sweating as hard as they can just to try and stop each other, while playing the game in the cheesiest way possible. 2k needs to go back to no 99 overalls
This your first year in my team? It’s been like this ever since like 2k19 or 2k20. You shoulda saw the cards last year. Literally every card had the Sam sigs including the centers. Imagine Yao and wemby dribbling like Kyrie, and having 99 speed. every year it eventually gets to that point.
I agree with you though if 2k really wanted the game mode to be fun then they shouldn’t release these OP af cards . But 2k is ran by literal money whores so that’s not gonna happen.
@@enzorillotv I’ve been playing since 2k12 and I can’t believe how bad it’s gotten. All those early 2k games from 2k 15-18 were amazing in my opinion, they didn’t release 99s really at all and the game wasn’t dominated by goofy ridiculous lineups, how is it that they add position locks to get rid of stupid line ups but yet there were less stupid lineups when there were no position locks? Yeah a good amount of people used LeBron at PG but at least on those old games you could counter and put anyone on your team at pg to guard him during the game you didn’t need a specific PG card, I agree with you 100% the last few years it’s just gotten so ridiculous all the sig changes and 7 footers moving like guards moving at 100mph they’ve killed the fun out of this mode.
At least in previous years the there were more lower tier cards, a lot more rubies and amethysts and a wider selection of cards, as someone who only really enjoys playing the game using themed teams this year it has been so difficult to make full teams to use e.g. the current hawks as they’re my favourite team, this year the selection of players is terrible and the game has gotten so bad that there’s less people playing now, so your more likely to stubble across one of these teams full of ridiculous cards. It’s disappointing because it’s the only basketball game so you either put up with the crap or stop playing, this year I have played the least 2k compared to other years by far, absolute disappointment.
@@Beniii71 yess 2k my team used to be so Goated. Remember when diamond cards used to be considered Godly tier? I remember pulling a diamond jamal Crawford in 2k16, that literally made my whole year. I was so happy. Now it’s impossible to pull anything. Now only CZcamsrs are able to pull the upper echelon of cards and that’s after dropping 100s of dollars on packs with fixed odds.
In my opinion my team is a way better game mode than park or mycareer. 2k realized just how much money it pulls in and decided to gut the whole game mode just to squeeze out every last cent they can get out of us. It’s so sad.
Not just mycareer but basketball games in general have so much potential. I’m just waiting for 2ks contract with the NBA to expire so another company can have thier shot at a basketball Game. The fact that the we as a community is still putting up with 2ks BS every year, shows just how hungry we are for a basketball game that’s actually good
@@enzorillotv yeah I couldn’t agree more, it’s dark times right now haha, I refuse to spend money on 2k games besides buying it, I haven’t bought vc for a few years now since probably 2k18 or 19 and I won’t be anytime soon because it’s clear that what you said is exactly what they’re doing and I’m not supporting that when it comes to MyTeam and I wish more people wouldn’t spend money on vc.
The only reason they are continuing to make these decisions is because it’s working, I don’t mind that the top top players are pack only mainly for selfish reasons because then there are less of them in the game as they are more unattainable and less people are buying enough packs to pack them, I just wish they released more lower tier cards it’s surely not that hard to make 10 extra cards per set of the lower tiers, there’s been enough player in the NBA for that. I blame all the Twitter sweats that cry that half the pack drops back in the day won’t make their team as if other people won’t use lower cards, that and 2k don’t want to give people a lower rated good alternative so players feel like they have to buy packs to get “usable” top cards. Ridiculous greedy ratty pricks

you know what 2k how come we are getting the same ullls at amethyst cars as dummies but we can't get the cards we want Dallas Mavericks series 2 Kyrie Irving amy. We been new the pattern. Free cards in Mt only. I did say I'll keep up with my 10 bucks. Much better when I used to be though. One thing is to teach you hold on to your good cards don't sell them back. No re sell value. Not forget when he introduced that slot machine ball drop for triple threat four years a trap first set up
Literally the worst my team in the history of the franchise. I have no clue how people still entertain this mode why waste time or money when the rewards are so minimal, terrible pack odds and no auction house. Completing Trophy cases last year was it for me after playing since 2k16
5:11 How the fuck could you not mind that? They got all those cards from the all time rosters… meaning they sucked at that point in the year, especially when there are wayyy better cards and versions of those players. Those all time roster cards had no animation upgrades, I believe they had normal shot timing and no badge and stat upgrades… 2K did the bare minimum, all they did was add all time cards to MyTeam and called it a day. And cards were easy to get that year so that excuse isn’t valid.

It's not MyTeam anymore...It's GambleARandomTeam...Even if one would use money one still would have to use what 2K happens to give one from the packs. There's literally no way to actually get the card/player one wants and that's the most sad thing in this game.
