Prague is known for its beautiful old town and gothic churches but also for being one of Europe's most affordable cities. This place is a paradise for budget travelers who love to drink cheap beer and is one of my favorite cities in the world.

Lived in Prague for 7 years and some corrections:
    - The picture of the video is misleading; you won't find a beer for 0.2 dollars in Prague (are you joking?). Most are at least 50 kc and even 100 or more in the centre.
    - Definitely not the cheapest city in Europe, and it's only getting worse.
    - It's not the narrowest street in Europe.
    - Kofola is more commonly known as the local cola, Royal Crown is American. Coca Cola and Pespi can be found everywhere (wtf?).
    - 15 dollars for a piece of ham and mash is quite expensive in CZ.
    - Trdelnik is not traditional and Czechs don't eat or recommend it. It's a tourist trap. Try Větrník instead.
    - The Sex museum is literally at the bottom of the list of things I would do here, go to Vysehrad or Naplavka for free.
    - You can actually rent cheaper boats on the other side of the island, the ones that no one can see from the road..
    - It's a nutria, not a beaver.
    - Czechs don't like it if you say CZ is eastern europe, prefer "central europe".
    - 14:15 that bar is serving Pilsner which can be found everywhere, it's not exclusive.
    - Mustek is rammed with tourists and expensive hotels, I wouldn't recommend living there.
    - I have never seen a toilet like that in Prague. Nice.
    - 5 dollars is like the least you will pay for a decent meal in CZ. Not sure what you mean by it being cheaper somewhere else.

And potatoes are American, yet we consider them a national food, and they arrived in the Czech lands in the 17th century, just as Trdelník arrived in to Valaško and Podřipsko, where it remained until the 19th century, when a writer wrote it into a Czech cookbook. Which means that in some local families, trdelník may be more traditional than carp for Christmas dinner, which only became widespread in the 19th century, but we still consider carp to be a traditional Czech Christmas dinner, even though today in many families the tradition has changed to wine sausages and schnitzels.
But yes, for Prague it is a novelty massively spread about 10 years ago, but on the other hand, given the fact that there is no more important Czech place than the mountain Říp, where the forefather Bohemia anchored and the local people considered it theirs since the 17th century, so there is actually nothing more Czech than Trdelník, which the Prague people only rediscovered. ;D

@@Miss_Kisa94 As far as I know, it's on the American continent, unless it's moved, so the potatoes come from America, so they're American. I didn't say which specific state because I honestly have no idea, so thanks for clarifying. They came to us in the 17th century from Brandenburg, since when they were considered to be food mainly for pigs or lords, and only spread in the 18th century when they saved population from famine, so they are named after that German state. (If any one is interested, in Czech, Brandenburg is shortened to "Branibory" so potatoes are called "brambory", (of course there are other terms, but that's beside the point).)

Hi, I'm from Czech republic and few things this channel got a few things wrong. Definitely first thing I'd recommend would be looking at the Honest Guide channel on yt, they have some really useful stuff there.
If you want to try some iconic Czech foods, I'd say try Guláš (basically meat stew with a lot of paprica), knedlo vepřo zelo (literally knödel, pork and cabbage) that one is really good, or Svíčková, also if you want to have real Czech experience, get soup for every meal (the best is definitely egg noodle soup). And also as we have a big Vietnamese minority you can also try some Vietnamese food in here, if you'd ever get sick of pork with sauce and rice, potato or knedlík/knödel. Also Czech culture is really close to German since we basically share our whole history with either Germany or Austria, so that's one thing you could notice.
There are many places in Prague (for that I'd recommend the mentioned Honest guide), but my favorite one is definitely the House at the black Madonna one of the renowned Caffés that were everywhere in Prague during the 1st republic. This one was recreated to show how it looked during the time Czechs regained their independence. It is also one of the most important architectural buildings of cubism which flourished in Czechoslovakia during this period.
I hope I helped you and enjoy your visit!

About the statue of two peeing men: it creates more depth to the meaning, when you realize that the outline of the pool they're standing in and peeing into is the borderline of the Czech Republic.

15:16 The masks bartenders wore are a reference to the character Rorschach in comic books and the movie Watchmen who wore such masks as he picked his name after the Swiss psychologist Hermann Rorschach who came up with the inkblot test. Check out Watchmen, a great movie. Greetings from Prague.

great video as always. I started thinking that Prague may be the next place I'd go. Btw I want you to visit Japan. Yen is cheap and the border is finally open for anyone, so I think it's time to visit japan again.

Yen is cheap, but tickets to japan are usually pretty pricey. It’s best to book a long stay (minimum 3 weeks)

I love Prague, and loved the video. Royal Crown cola used to be really popular in the U.S. and definitely isn't local to Prague, but those bottles are really cool! I had no idea they even sold it in Europe at all. Weird thing to be excited about I guess.

Prague definitely has all the same sodas that are available in the states. Kofola is the authentic czech cola. It’s best tried on tap at a restaurant!

Trdelník is definately not traditional Czech lands, is just a tourist fastfood brought from Romania, and it starded to be sold in Prague in early 2000´s

The bartender mask seems to be inspired by the Watchmen comic character Rorschach. Which is also what the ink bolts are also called.

Loved the video. However, they do have cola and pepsi and they're very commonly consumed, some places just serve royal cola instead. Their local cola "alternative" is another beverage called Kofola.
