Napenda sana Kiswahili cha Kongo 🇨🇩
Kina sanaa kweli. Mimi huwa nakifurahia na kinachekesha kwelikweli
I think Kiswahili is a classic and beautiful language 😊
Truly one of the most beautiful languages in the world. My native tongue. Love from USA 💕
I’m from lubumbashi and it so hard for me to understand well tanzanian swahili but i like it 🥰
The congo one, Wow, I love it. Even Dodoma.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for stopping by.
thank you
@@BantuNautsRaydio rafiki aksanti can you do more of these dialect videos. We need to create swahili unity Umoja. I really wish one day east congo can take proper swahili in school along side French. If us Swahili people don't discriminate by Kabila we can work together in Africa and help sell resources and create pride! We can be united like the Arabs. Rafiki make more videos in Katanga if we say Bibi yako it means a lover, but my Kenyan friends look at me weird because bibi for them means grandmother 🤣
@@Snpiedog You're right: it's funny how the same word (like Bibi) can have different meanings in different places. Thanks for the suggestion to make more videos.
@@taariqabdulrahman9630 dayum in congo we say mwanamke for woman. And bibi is like saying mapenzi. I wonder how that change happened. I thought bibi was a loan word from Arabic habibi but why does congo use it and not where the arabs lived (tanzania and kenya) 🤣

There are many Swahili accents even within Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. You have also seen on this video that there are different accents in DRC from Kivu, Lubumbashi and Kisangani for instance. Also you forgot to bring us the Kiswahili from Mombasa, Kenya, Lamu, Kenya or from the Comoro Islands.

The one from Tanzania and the Kenyan coast is the closest to the Original kiswahili. In Kenya especially in towns like Nairobi, they mix kiswahili and English

Also, at 3:29 is Victor Mugubi Wanyama the captain of the Kenya National Team (Harambee Stars) and former player of Tottenham Hotspurs of the EPL being interviewed by Tanzania media reporter.

We don't admire to speak it.. Wakombozi (tanzanian soldiers) made Ugandans hate that language more.. they raped many of our children and looting from Ugandans...we will never forget. I remember everything so well.

Kimvita (Mombasa) was not the basis of 'standard' Swahili though, Kiunguja (Zanzibar) was and is the basis of what's considered standard Swahili!
@@davidngwesa I believe he's talking about the accent. Mombasa accent's the best. Zanzibar is standard, yeah, but just plain old Swahili.
@@bertkylian Hahaha, are we infatuated with accents? Fine, I don't think Guv Joho (Mvita, I guess) of Mombasa has a better accent than Pres. Samia (a Zanzibari) of Tanzania - for sure it doesn't sound like that. And your argument about Zanzibar, Unguja dialect specifically, being old Swahili is simply not valid.
@@davidngwesa by old I meant like formal... What you'd see in a Kamusi. And Joho is the worst example ever that's nowhere near a Mombasa accent let alone Kimvita. Listen to Sarai speak Kiswahili, that's Kimvita. Swaleh Mdoe, now that's a Mombasa accent. Clear as a whistle.

@Kayaesi. Kindly do some research a bit more on the Swahili language. I see you're quite misinformed on the Swahili language from Eastern Congo and Burundi as a whole. Swahili is a language developed from different dialects and regions.
This made the Swahili language to have different identities or subgroups based on their region of origin:
-Swahili from Zanzibar and some parts of Tanzania - Kiunguja
-Swahili from Lamu, Mombasa( Kenya ) - Kimvita but also Kiunguja is well-spoken there
-Swahili from the Eastern Congo and it surrounding Neighbours ( Burundi - Bujumbura ) - Kingawana which was influenced by Arabs from during the Omani Empire in the Zanzibar under the Arab Trader - Tippu Tib.
With that being said, there are such areas in Congo such as Uvira, Maniema and Burundi that speak Swahili that is quite similar to the ones spoken in the eastern coast of Africa "Tanzania".

Congo swahili is spoken with French and lingala so you congolese people speak a different type of swahili I think it unique because of how it sounds different and because congo swahili is mixed with French and lingala
That's a good point. The Swahili in Congo is also mixed with other local languages besides Lingala. In the excerpt from Lubumbashi, the man actually mixes in a few Kiluba words (language spoken in Katanga, DRC). At some point, he even imitates the accent many Baluba have when they speak Swahili.
@@BantuNautsRaydio no there is not Tshiluba words in congolese Swahili Tshiluba is very differently from Swahili my mom speak Swahili and there is no Tshiluba in the kiswahili of congo but there are a lot of lingala words in side
@@SM-ot5rv I wrote KI-luba, and not TSHI-luba. Please read again my comment and watch the video starting at 08:00. The man from Lubumbashi (in this video) is imitating the accent of the Baluba from Katanga, and he's mixing with some KI-luba words. I know that in other parts of Congo, there's a lot of confusion about the term Baluba. People outside of Katanga always immediately assume that the term refers to people from the Kasai region who speak TSHI-luba. If you ever visit Lubumbashi, or any other place in the Katanga, you will recognize the accent the man is doing in the video.
