I’m a Nio investor and I would love to see Nio at the top but, Elon is very brilliant a genius and I doubt it if Nio will ever reach Teslas level because Elon Musk is too smart and knows what he’s doing.

I was wondering if you could talk about the feasibility of battery swapping at a large scale. This seems to be Nio’s USP but I am a bit concerned about whether it can be practically achieved for example, how many swap stations are needed, how much will it cost, wait times for people, how many battery can be held at one station etc. Plus with the advancements in charging times such as lucid enabling charging within 12 mins does this not erode nios advantage. Sorry for the long comment but I think this is a really important topic - thank you fellow odd investor

The bottom line is that Elon Musk manages "short-selling" as part of Tesla's overall operational strategy. He understands how important it is to Tesla's "investor relations" narrative that Tesla has a reputation for fighting "shorts" on behalf of long-term investors. On the other hand, Nio's shareholders feel betrayed and unsupported by Nio's management in general and William Li specifically. Instead, Li remains silent on the issue, ignores the concerns of retail investors, continues to spend and dilute shareholders (a practice loved by short-sellers) and seems aloof to the prospects for profitability (a death-knell for shorts). Instead, William Li continually gets a pass on his reputation as an incredible visionary which detrimentally overshadows his lack of competence in running Nio's day-to-day operations.
Totally agree. Tesla had many years of excessive short selling. He finally found a technique that appears to work such as the one used in the robotaxi launch delay

Beat of luck. I think Robotaxi and Humanoid bots are a hoax and the stock price is being artificially hyped. Hope Tesla will introduce new models in August... And be able to actually deliver.
@@TheOddInvestor only on very specific roads and good conditions. But as I said: it's not just a technical issue. It's also an issue of people being all crazy. Some will hate these taxis and will destroy and block them (already happening). Some will shit and piss in these cars etc. (already happening). It will be a mess. In short term, FSD will not be FSD and will be required to be supervised. This can be handled in 2 ways: Hire 1000 Indians to remote control those cars or continue with "supervised FSD" (how Elon has to call it now) because you can never fully trust the system. Especially if it uses vision only. Here in Switzerland, with lots of narrow roads without clear lines these systems will have a very hard time. I can barely use the today's Autopilot system except on Highways. And we have a lot of bad weather conditions here where my Teslas constantly tell me that cameras are blocked and the whole system turns itself off. And humanoid robots are just a very dumb idea. Maybe in 30 years when there's a high density power cell of some sort. Also this tech is very high maintenance and expensive and it can not do anything better than industry robots today. My prediction: Robotaxi and Human Bots won't come and when people realize that it's just a marketing scam to inflate the stock price the whole thing will crash. But let's see. I was wrong before. Could be wrong again. From my technical background as a software engineer I just don't see it happening any time soon.
I may be wrong, but i thoought that FSD requires a backup system for redundancy? Since there's no backup system in Testla FSD how is it ever going to be certified?
That is true. But, I think Tesla will install Lidar in the near future. This is why they bought $2m worth of lidars recently from Nvidia. They are probably testing them
