    So it’s just a coincidence that the “Suffering Servant” happens to endure everything Jesus accomplished in His coming.. including dying for the sins of the entire world. Something Israel cannot do.. Got it!
    My conclusion is that Jesus is the Messiah. The Old and New Testaments go hand and hand. Jesus was/is a Jew.. You don’t become any less Jewish when you receive Christ as your suffering servant. Everything that was said to come has and will be fulfilled in Him! Amen!

    The speaker on the video has ran himself into a dilemma. His explanation doesn't have proper Exegesis when reading these two verses:
    Isaiah 53:4-5 NASB
    Surely our griefs He Himself bore, And our sorrows He carried; Yet we ourselves esteemed Him stricken, Smitten of God, and afflicted.
    [5] But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed.
    This is a perfect illustration of the Propitiation and Atonement of the Messiah Jesus on the cross.
    Ask yourself this question:
    How can Israel saved Israel, when Israel has broken God's Covenants?
    Repent and seek the Messiah Jesus for redemption and eternal life in Him as the Scriptures teaches!

    • @samchapa4203
      @samchapa4203 Před 10 měsíci

      There is no basis of eternal damnation in Judaism. Judaism teaches Teshuva- not only repentance but RETURN. It was prophesied by Moshe that Israel would be exiled but would be redeemed. Deuteronomy 30.

    • @gothamknight2700
      @gothamknight2700 Před 7 měsíci +1

      @samchapa4203
      Your partiality to the text of Scripture shows your lack of full mention concerning the Sin-Bearing Servant in Isaiah 53.
      Here's a better explanation than your comment about Teshuvah:
      Source: Jewish Learning
      "In the Jewish tradition, repentance is called teshuvah , a Hebrew word translated as “returning.” One of the Hebrew words for sin is chet, which in Hebrew means “to go astray.” Thus the idea of repentance in Jewish thought is a return to the path of righteousness.
      Teshuvah can be done at any time, but the High Holiday season, and Yom Kippur especially, is considered an especially auspicious time for it. The process of repentance, as laid out by Maimonides, includes three stages: confession, regret and a vow not to repeat the misdeed. The true penitent, Maimonides says, is the one who finds himself with the opportunity to commit the same sin again yet declines to do so. Prayer, charity and fasting are also said to help one win forgiveness."
      How can this apply when there's no Temple today in Jerusalem?
      How can your "repentance" be made under a broken covenant because of Israel and Judah disobedience to YHWH and the Laws of Moses?
      Your efforts about Israel being the Person identified by the prophet Isaiah fails in comparison to Messiah Jesus as prophesied by the Law and the Prophets. (Deuteronomy 18:15-18 and John 5:45-47)
      I'll ask you the question personally...
      Can Israel save Israel from their sins against YHWH?

    Perfect. Let's actually examine that, because there's two servants in Isaiah.
    "And now the Lord says, he who formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob back to him; and that Israel might be gathered to him- for I am honored in the eyes of the Lord, and my God has become my strength- he says: “It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to bring back the preserved of Israel; I will make you as a light for the nations, that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”
    Isaiah 49:5‭-‬6

Israel cannot bear the sins of anyone, the subject of Isaiah 53 is one singular man, in verse 3 it says we - Israel - hid our faces from him, Israel cannot be an offering for sin as it says in verse 10. A plain and honest reading of the chapter makes it clear it's a prophecy about Messiah.

    The whole Tora and Tanach is the story of an rebellious nation doing evil things.
    2. Israel dies in order to save the nations?? So God uses antisemitism (nations kill Israel) to save those antisemites?? What great morality of God…
    3. Isaiah is describing from chapter 40-54 something, what many scholars call „Isaiahs exodus“. He often times copies the phrases from the exodus. New exodus = new Moses (Messiah)!

    It’s amazing to me how Jewish people, specifically “scholars,” forget their own history. This is unequivocally speaking to the Servant spoken of by Moses. When Messiah finally was born into the world, it was a time when the Jews had been politically and physically passed around like a peace pipe. They suffered at the hands of the Egyptians for 400 years, and Moses lead them out. When Jesus was born, they Jews suffered again 400 years from Malachi to Jesus. Jesus is just like Moses! But Jesus said specially that Jews chose to be blind, and they are to this day. They walk around with veils over their hearts because they rejected not just a prophet this time, but Messiah himself. Think, Jews. Think! When has God EVER taken this long to act? ……or maybe you missed something.

    What about Talmud Sanhidrin 98b, Rabbi Yehuda HaNasi the question 'what is the Name of Messiah?' He is Messiah the Leper and Quotes Isaiah 53:4
    "And the Rabbis say: The leper of the house of Rabbi Yehuda HaNasi is his name, as it is stated: “Indeed our illnesses he did bear and our pains he endured; yet we did esteem him injured, stricken by God, and afflicted” (Isaiah 53:4). "

    No you’re forgetting about Jacob, who already called dibs on the name Israel. He’s the suffering servant who reincarnates returning just as his vision promised. See Isa 48. That’s the only place he addresses the nation saying the ‘people who call themselves after my servant Israel’ Stop playing dumb and ignoring that verse. It’s not about Jesus either but it does describe the coming messiah perfectly. He will be hated because his own mother will have Palestinian blood. Their messiah is already living like a Palestinian and Isa is describing a people filled with disgust for that man. Every word of it will be true of the coming messiah who will have children and after suffering, has seen the light. You’re not the suffering servants. The Palestinians however fit the descriptions.

      @@ChristianGirlwhoLovesJesus Isa 53 is about one person who has more than one life. He does die just as described the first time. But he returns and is the second witness specifically sent to the Jews. Read it again and consider the Palestinian life of being disrespected and cast into their prisons without trials. It’s very easy to see he could be Palestinian when he returns. Look at the rest of the chapter and read the Septuagint that includes a very important line saying after he suffers, he then sees the light and then makes his life a sacrifice. The MT conveniently blotted that out because it doesn’t fit all Israel. But it also doesn’t exactly describe Jesus either who only suffered over a weekend and we have no idea if he was actually numbered with the criminals like your typical Palestinian these days. Hence my theory he’s half Palestinian and the messiah is sure to be crucified again. He’s both of the two witnesses sent to Israel rejected the first time. They have one more chance. And they’re just about out of time.
      Daniel’s 70 week count started a second time in 1535 by Ottomans. 62 weeks later Jerusalem recaptured and reunited with Israel. End of 69 weeks, sign in Virgo on 9/22/2017 and the embassy move described in Daniel 11. So the end of 70 weeks later this year. And just in time, all hell breaks loose and Israel being exposed as much worse than suffering servants. All their dirty little secrets are now being broadcast to the world. Michael is already here coming just as it says after that embassy move. God is already judging the nations and starting with Israel as it should be. Maybe they can teach the nations how to repent. It’s what they’re meant to do.

When he returns, he suffers again. This time, it pleased god to cause him to suffer. This restores the reputation of god. This time he literally goes to prison innocent and is numbered. This time he’s hated his entire life and betrayed by his own parents and friends like it says in Zachariah. This time, he really must have children. His lineage passes to Shiloh. He lives a long life after he suffers. By his knowledge the rest of us find heaven. Your problem is someone decided that ‘clouds’ in Daniel must be literal even though the rest of the book isn’t. You aren’t expecting a human Jesus at all. A casual reading of Isa 53 all the way through doesn’t fit Jesus. He was just the first witness cut off but when he returns, he’s the second.
