  • Our Workshop Performances are often described as the chance to see the future stars of ballet, and throughout the years, that depiction has proven to be more than accurate. Dozens of the biggest names in dance make their NYC performing debut on the SAB Workshop stage, including this month's featured alumna - New York City Ballet principal dancer Mira Nadon.
Ms. Nadon's performance as the lead ballerina in George Balanchine's SCOTCH SYMPHONY at our 2017 Workshop left audience members speechless thanks to her grace, technique, seemingly effortless command of the choreography, and artistic presence beyond her years. When she returned to the School the following autumn to begin her final year, she was offered an apprenticeship with the Company and has been delighting NYCB audience members ever since.

SAB hands are so over the top now. I don’t remember them ever being so harsh. It totally disrupts the line of the arm.
