James is a genius on the drag strip, Im unsure if hes a professional on the suspension side but i feel like he knows how to exactly tell people what he needs and wants in a race car for them to get the most out of it.

They get penalized all summer long because Florida gets rain pretty much every day and the rain isn't predictable like it is here in the Midwest. Winter is their racing season.

@@dertmatyui yeah the combination of water surrounding the state and the summer heat evaporating the water and the results are afternoon rain, unlike the majority of the country where it's a front moving through making it predictable.

I like the choice of intake manifold/plenum on this engine. This boosted air shoots closer to vertically into the plenum and does a much better flow to distribute the air flow to all 8 runners unlike many of the engines being run where the air runs horizontally into the plenum causing the last runners to receive the most air and runners closest to the throttle body to get the least air during the transient state (the cylinders with the most air will lean out and detonate). Great video.

It is so interesting how drag racing goes through periods where different aspects are the limiting factor. At times it has been horsepower, at other times it has been tires. Now it seems like every car has so much power and so much grip that many of the cars are struggling with suspension & control and keeping the frontend on the ground. Wild stuff!

Great job guys! Could tell early on that the 2J 240 was the car to beat. That thing is FAST! He was getting treed most every round and was going around his opponents with almost ease.
Yes but he's dialed already , the fact Nate and James have done so well right when he brought it out with a lot of changes and little stock crank 5.3 is just nuts.. proves you don't need top shelf everything to have fun and go fast.. that engine was already fast ASF with ksr too so it's a stout little unit..

Have you found that using a tps advance table to not dump your blow off valves on a quick paddle can help you recover much faster and have a softer landing on a wheelie?
