  • At the start of 2017, we hit Dizin mountains to ski and snowboard!
    How much does it cost?
    Rental is about 70K toman. Lift tickets were about 100K toman.
    How to get to Dizin?
    Two routes. One is using the Chalous road, and the other is using the north of Tehran route. Note the information I talk about in the video - one way, and closed till Mid Feb.
    We got a taxi there, who waited for us for the day, then drove us back. Cost was about 250K toman for the taxi in total.
    Can I hire equipment?
    Yes, everything from Skis, snowboards, jackets, helmets etc.

    Thanks for recording and uploading this video. I sent it to lots of friends in Malaysia where i am staying and to some Arab friends. Unfortunately, their perception is that Iran is desert. They spend lots of money to enjoy skiing in Korea while Iran is much cheaper and closer to them to take a trip to.

    Good God ...when I was a teenager I used to go there skiing every weekend. So sad I didn't appreciate it enough. Now that I have been living in US for the past 30 years، I would do anything to ski on those beautiful slopes once only once more before I die

      @@applenuggets662 Oh Hell NO. First of all their slopes are very short with artificial snow that is made by snow making machine. Besides the very nature of Dizin area is one of a kind. If you are a skier please appreciate it

    hey sooo in america they have green, blue, and black runs so in iran do they have these in more context green being easiest and black being hardest

    • @hassankhosseini
      @hassankhosseini  Před 4 lety +1

      Hey Lia, there are color runs, and those are usually the colors that match with the difficulty level, but for example in europe we have Blue, Red, Black. In the US, there are further difficulty levels with double diamond etc. In Dizin, there is the Green, Red, Black setup, im not sure if it goes into shapes too or not. But the main difference is that they not really marked as you come down the mountain haha so you might slip into a red from green, but it's usually ok since the ski area is pretty huge so you can get back easily

    Hassan, in the video it was mentioned that you need to be very specific regarding the equipment, can you elaborate? Awesome video, it'll be helpful when we visit next year.

    • @hassankhosseini
      @hassankhosseini  Před 5 lety +1

      Hey Kenny, sure thing. So when you go to rent equipment, usually in EU/US from my experience, you just wait and they give you stuff. In Iran they will just take the first pair they find and give it to you and not look at the equipment's quality. I'd suggest when you go in - actually go walk around and find what you want and tell them you want that one. Try on boots, the insoles won't be great, but they will have better ones, so tell them when the cushions don't feel right on your feet, try other ones. Try as many pairs as you need to find the ones you want, then say ok :)

    Hello everybody! we with friends want to go to Dizin and Shemshak next winter. There are a couple of questions about how to book a transfer and accommodation in advance. Can you help us with advice?

    • @hassankhosseini
      @hassankhosseini  Před 6 lety

      Hey, the accommodation I'm not 100% sure how you can do it from outside of Iran, so probably best to get in touch with the ski resort itself.
      WRT to the transfer, you can get a snapp (Uber of Iran) from Tehran to near the outskirts of Tehran, but when the driver accepts, call him and ask if he will go all the way to Dizin, if he is ok with it, he will give you a price (maybe 100K toman ... well, who knows what it should be by next year), and you give him cash. If you want to come back on the same day, then I would say go to a taxi shop in Iran and ask them how much for the whole day. They will drive you, park there and wait till you finish, then take you back. We did this a few times, pretty cheap too.
      Good luck!
