  • I have been given a new fermenter designed, produced and made right here in Australia.
    The guys at Keg King where kind enough to give this to me to use and do as I like obligation free.

    Great unboxing and setup with a nice bit of insight! The 10 psi spraying cleaner was entertaining.

    Les here from greymouth new Zealand..I have just brought one of these and I was particularly interested in how you installed the filter and floating ball...it was something different to what they had on there website..oh well.....I would like to know when are you going to make a brew in it ...I'm about to make a mangrove jacks cider in mine ..im abit unsure on how I make it with the hot water that is needed???...maybe be you can help me please....cheers. les

      Hi Les. I did a cider in my one just recently and filmed it. I made a mistake making it and forgot to add dextrose resolved in hot water so I threw it in cold to see what would happen. It fermented normally. When I usually resolve my dextrose I use a pot and resolve it in that, I fill my fermenter to about 18 litres of cold water and pour the extract and resolved dextrose in this is so I don't melt the fermeter it works a treat. It's a great little fermenter and I reckon you will have a lot of use. Keep your eye out for the video I have nearly finished editing it. Cheers.

      Les again.....how did you put the flavor in and at what stage as it ferments alot faster please??

    • @SimpleHomeBrew
      @SimpleHomeBrew  Před 2 lety

      @@lesowen4864 I would normally put it in at the 4th or 5th day of fermentation depending how fast it's going.

      @@SimpleHomeBrew so I'm guessing that you would degass it..open lid and pour in ...then mix in...?

      Sorry to hear that, sometimes there could be a little bit of plastic dags in the receptacle, hope this helps
