CZcamsr 'Mad Hatter' posted a video of this glitch on 26 June 2021. So thanks to him.
I thought I would put my own spin on it.
It is an easy method but can sometimes take a while until the Pinto spawns alive. The horse will usually spawn alive but immediately drop dead.
The key to this glitch is to wait until both the Lagras Lady and the Horse spawn where the Lady will walk away and the horse will remain standing.

I've tried that damn Albert Mason method so many times I near pulled my hair out. I happened to search for another guide on it this evening, saw this video, and didn't think this was even possible, but I'm glad on this occasion to be proven wrong. This worked for me even after meeting the Biscuit lady on the road to Emerald Ranch, lifting the horse off her, but refusing to give her a ride. I think by refusing to offer the ride it meant I hadn't completed the mission.
Loaded up a save on my latest playthrough, on ch.2 with only Uncle's Valentine mission and Hosea's hunting mission done, went to Face Rock, followed Eugene's advice below on going to the yellow flowers, and starting shooting the woman. Got the Pinto after about five minutes of trying.

No way! A few minutes after I commented here, I finally got her. Took about just 2 kills before the woman ran and the MFT was alive and started just walking away. Chased after it. And finally made it my main horse. Thank you for this.

Thank you and mad hatter for the tutorial....still working as of 4/17/2023 ....it took many tries, many game reloads, and finally after restarting my console I was able to acquire this horse.......I was so happy that I immediately found the lady by the oil field and gave her a ride to emerald ranch on the back of my MFT.
This worked beautifully. Had a witness come up and start riding off. RIP to him and his horse. Took him out right as she spawned again and she started running so I finished her off, too. The horse took off as well. Rode like hell over to her and hopped on. Saw the woman waiting for a ride again right after so I figured I’d let her have one last ride on her undead horse. 🤣
Woohoo!!!! I finally just got her using this method, and on only my 4th respawn to boot!!! I had been attempting the stagecoach and tracking methods using the Arcadia quest and came soooooooooo close to getting her multiple times but something would always go wrong with those methods.... I'd get tossed off her and/or she'd just go missing, every single danged time without fail, lol... Spent 2 days hitting entirely new levels of frustration before giving up for a couple weeks, and then just now decided Id give this method a try instead, just on a random whim, and omg! Can't believe it worked, and soooo fast!! Thank you so much!!
I can get the lady and horse to spawn, shoot her to make her and the horse respawn. But i can go through 100 bullets, reload that save and go through a hundred more 5 times and the horse won't spawn alive.
I've managed to get it twice through the Albert Mason mission, many attempts. Managed to get 3 free Black Arabians found randomly in Saint Denis, and duplified one into the opposite gender by another glitch. Managed to get the Braithwaite Turkoman and the gold Foxtrotter too, and this is the glitch that is stopping me along with the body over shoulder glitch to stop the New Austin sniper, it keeps shooting through it...
Nevermind, I got it. Only took 2.4k bullets, however, a lot easier than Albert Mason, and chasing the wring horses 70 times.
Thought this one was meant to be male, ig not. Waste of time, ig having 2 isn't that bad.
If your having trouble breaking in the horse just open your satchel until the horse is broken
Tried this trick for like 5 hours at some point in chapter 2 with no luck, decided to give up on it. Played the game normally through a different save file. Checked Face Rock occasionally but without a lot of care. At some point in chapter 3, randomly ran into her at this location. Had some 70 bullets in my rifle, figured why not try just this once. If I got to zero or she ran off, I would just move on. Didnt even save the file to try again! Turns out, when I had about 30 bullets left the horse actually stayed alive-- I almost killed the lady on pure instinct! Holy sh-t I cant believe it worked. It *worked*!!! This is my now my favorite save file ever. I'm looking at the Fox Trotter without quite believing my eyes, heart is still pounding but I immediately wanted to come here and thank you. Seriously, thanks much for the detailed guide! Ahhhhh I'm so excitedddd
As a side note: comment written on on 02/02/2022, playing on ps5 so as of this date it still works!

@@BlueSamGames It was a bit stressful because I had just killed a witness before the spawn that worked, and I guess because of that the lady behaved like a normal NPC (turning witness), and that spooked the horse so I almost lost sight of it! Had to snatch her as fast as I could and then from the law before I could stable her and save the game :'D But it made everything all the more rewarding in the end!

Be prepared to shoot a lot of bullets before it spawns in alive. It took me about 400 per attempt. Sure there were a handful of misses and some pesky witnesses eating up some of those, but it was still pretty time consuming. I screwed up my first two attempts by breaking line of sight on the living horse and despawning it. One of which involved my horse eating it and tossing me off the front of face rock. Third time was the charm for me.
Sometimes it takes a little time for the respawn. It seems like it waits until the ragdolls are finished on the npc and sometimes they jiggle around a bit when they fall onto a stack of sixty clones. Sometimes it seems like it will let the notifications catch up before respawns too.
In my experience as long as there is a dead horse on the ground and you've killed the npc and any witnesses it will respawn. Before you start the killing, make sure to position yourself in a way that allows you to trot down to the horse without breaking line of sight on a path that doesn't have any drops or jumps that may trip up your horse.

2022-Jan-06 still works (PC, very early chapter 2, never helped the lady). The difference in the latest patch is that the lady would not spawn or respawn if you aren't riding on a horse from certain distance. The good thing is that as long as you are on a horse and the event was triggered, you could respawn the lady as many times as you want, while riding forward and reverse on the face rock. Credit to @CryAlot
If the lady didn't spawn in the first place, it just mean you haven't triggered the event. You could try to trigger by riding far away and back on to the rock (train railway at N, or the pit of legendary wolf at NW). Optionally you could try looking away while riding on the horse to and fro the face rock then look back onto where the lady spawns.

First, thank you so much for the video! Got the horse in chapter 2 with the Springfield rifle in addition with a scope! Here's how I did it:
I managed to find a way how to spawn the lady and her horse every time I load the game. Ride on Face Rock. Stay on the horse. Now focus on the spot where she should spawn. If she doesn't show up, turn the horse around and turn the camera away and ride a few steps in any direction. Now turn the horse back again, towards the spot of the spawn. Focus with the scope. The lady and horse should appear now. Maybe you have to wait a few seconds. If there's still no spawn, repeat to focus away and ride around a bit. Then turn back. STAY ON THE HORSE THE WHOLE TIME. I managed to have them spawn over 10 times in a row with each reload with this method. I had to reload the game so often bc the horse didn't spawn again and just this one time, or I didn't manage to kill the lady) As I finally had the horse staying alive, I had to kill the woman 12 times in a row during my current reload. I remained on my horse and rode towards the pinto, without ever losing direct sight of it. You can just ride the horse down the rock, neither the horse or Arthur falls on the ground from my experience. Once you don't see it on your screen, it's gone! So make sure it's always in sight by adjusting the camera! I stopped next to the pinto, got off my main horse and mounted the pinto, bonded with it to level 1, put the saddle on it and saved it in the stable. It took me a few evenings, but once I figured out how to have them spawn with each reload, it took maybe 15 minutes. I'm playing on PS4. if anyone wants to know about the game version, I'll update my comment or put it in the replies

@@rjc466 That's definitely weird, but I know my game is fully updated and it worked fine. You're getting them to spawn, right? And killing her isn't a problem, so there's another option you can try: Steal her horse, kill her so she won't be a witness, and ride like hell. If you happen to get hit for horse theft, just go pay the bounty. Still cheaper than buying it, and less hassle. Let me know if that works out for you.

08-30-21 got it in one kill. You want to settle in a spot where she spawns immediately after you kill her. I went below where he shows on the video by yellow flowers and at the top of a dirt path that leads down. I killed her and she remained there, I then crept down ever so slowly till she spawned and she ran and I got the horse. If she doesn't run, stop and kill her, if she keeps respawning just keep killing her at that spot. give it about 10 tries, if it doesn't work, start over.

@@krazydude21 I don't think so. If you are in an early chapter, I do believe she respawns in a later chapter. In any case, just remember about it in your next play through.
Still works February 14, 2023. I just got mine. Be patient. Took me two in-game days, about 90 minutes real time. I kept on waiting for her to spawn, killed her - until the horse didn't drop. In between I had to abandon because of my "wanted status" but when I came back I waited a bit and she re-spawned. Don't give up, if I can get that horse anyone can. 😉

I discovered that this method worked on the Moonstone Pond lady with the dead MFT. I've used a Springfield rifle with a scope and it worked. Thanks for sharing this tip.

Still works December 21, figured out some stuff...
First she didnt spawn for me at all, then i took a ride from Compsons Stead straight to face rock, she spawned everytime then! Save that state, in this Video at 0:26 you can see in the left 3-4 small stones in the grass, close to the big Rock. My horse stood exactly on those stones, that was the glitch spot for me. Sniped her, the lady started walking, horse was alive immediately, kept eyes on horse, got it first try.

2021-09-05 - works, hasnt been patched yet!!! But it takes time...
*A few tips which might/might not help you (take it from me who spent 2 hours doing this and I killed her literally 200times after I finally got the horse to spawn alive):*
- if you helped the lady already (anytime before, in any chapter) it won't spawn again!!!! (it has to be your first time meeting her for it to work)
- for some reason she will only spawn for me when I am *riding my horse*
- settle your position on the rock, but not on the edge of it => seek a spot further away from the edge of the rock (there's a bush => go behind it basically = while riding your horse ofc)
- if you see her to spawn, always keep an eye on her
- if you shoot the woman and she won't spawn again (try waiting for 2 mins to see if she really wont spawn) => try to move your horse to a different position (just press S => backaway a little further while still looking at her through your scope)
- if she still wont spawn => then LOOK AWAY => this worked for me and she spawned again
- after that shoot her and see if she spawns frequently now, if not => repeat the whole "finding a better spot on the rock with your horse" part
- if she spawns frequently now (make sure she does), backaway from the rock again (just a little) => then kill her again
- after that there will be times when the woman spawns alone (without the horse) immediately running away from the place => again kill her
- after that the woman spawns running away with the horse being ALIVE (keep your eyes on the horse when running towards it!)
HOW TO DETERMINE IF THE GLITCH IS WORKING:
- the woman will be *spawning frequently* now
- after killing her over and over again, there will be times when ONLY THE WOMAN WILL SPAWN (without the horse) and she will be *running immediately away* => shoot her
- after that it shouldn't take long for the horse to spawn alive
I did this in Chapter 3, but personally speaking I think it should work in any chapter... if you are playing in chapter 2 I recommend for you to get this horse through the Stranger mission: Arcadia for Amateurs III by helping that photographer dude Albert Mason (by tracking the horse)

I accidentally killed this lady during the mary mission in chapter 2. I've tried this and check near the moonshine pond but she didn't respawn. I've tried the Albert mason trick but the tracks disappear after i skip the cut scene. Is there any other way?. Currently I'm in chapter 3.
Im done with this method did it over a thousand times on ps5.(ps4 version) horse drops always. she always spawns no problemo. But maybe its not a glitch but a loading issue.
@@mitsubishieb i think it works on ps4 and ps5. I'm playing on pc with a cracked version also i have encountered that lady before. Maybe that has something to do with it.
@@sammassy6140 does your tracks always dissapear? Have you made sure to have your "tracking bar" fully loaded before the cutscene begins? Also make sure to immediately *skip* the cutscene! When it comes to this glitch, I can't give you more info cuz I myself dont know how it works (I think its more luck-based)... there is another way of getting this horse, and that is by mods/cheats.... if you search rdr2 script hook (on Nexus mods) -> it's a script mod which allows you to spawn literally anything - even horses which you can own (and since it'S a script-mod you wont be needing any "mod-loader" or anything like that installed in your PC)

Finally got the lady to spawn right after i started my game but can’t seem to get the horse to spawn alive, on my 5th attempt, last attempt took me 100+ bullets, lemme tell you there was a BIG pile of bodies lmao

can confirm this still works 11/29/2023 (on xbox latest version).. Took me many attempts but it finally worked. I did it in chapter 2, used a springfield rifle with a long scope, even after helping the lady in valentine. patience is entirely necessary for this to work, i almost gave up because of how long it took .. Overall, was it worth it? Probably not.. but I already completed the game once so decided why not just do it on the new playthrough. Below, are some helpful tips that I think worked for me
-when i saw someone else riding up as im about to shoot, i killed him, BUT as the guys horse was riding up to the lady, JUST as i killed it the glitch ended up working after 3 hours of trying .. i guess it triggered the running animation at the perfect time or something, not sure but thats what worked for me
-making a new save when it wouldnt work
-consistently reloading game
-staying scoped in with the rifle
Hi. Glad it's still working. You're right, it just needs a bit of patience. I think having a dead NPC for the woman to see when she respawns does help. I think it scares her into running off. Or is that a bit too deep? Anyway thanks for the great tips.

Still works 21/04/23 after lots of attempts. Follow the video exactly and it does work, make her run to the left then kill when running and then when respawns kill straight away, make sure your stood on face rock in exactly the right spot. It will work!
I got her today! I named her Traveler. A few things I learned that others can hopefully find useful as beginners, too (I'm at the beginning of Ch. 3; I used the Rolling Block Rifle):
1. Save before you start and turn off autosave.
2. If you try to shoot her and she gets away, reload your save or she won't respawn.
3. Wear a mask - you never know what's going to happen (lol)
4. If someone witnesses you shoot her, she won't spawn again until the law is done investigating. Just be patient and wait.
4. If one place doesn't spawn, check another. I started at Face Rock - nothing. She spawns in several places.
5. Before you decide to go get her, save often. If you accidentally interact with her, you can just reload (plus, you'll know where she's spawning in YOUR game - I think it may be different for everyone).
6. It takes a little bit of exploring the spawn sit to come up with just the right spot to shoot from, where no one will see you and where the law won't find you while investigating.

@LEAD BELLY, near Carmody Dell, Face Rock, 6-Point Cabin; and if you look at the map, follow the tracks East of Flatneck Station, you'll see how the roads kind of make an upside-down triangle below the tracks. There's a point where you can sit on your horse right next to the tracks facing West and you'll see a tree on the South side of the road. She spawns near that tree on the little rise. If you are kn your horse there's a certain sweet spot on the tracks where you can avoid detection from the law and just watch them run around investigating before they ride off.

I spent more than 50 ammo and the horse never showed up alive... I'm testing it in chapter 2 and I still don't have this sniper rifle
Can confirm this still works as of 3/18/21.
I got reported for murder, they came picked up the body and searched for me. I stayed scoped looking at the horse and a minute later the horse spawned standing up.

Just did it after 45 minutes of trying, i already did the mission with the lady in chapter 2 and i got the spawn on face rock, im in chapter 3 right now and it worked and i have the horse already, hope it helps someone :D
Fun fact: just decided to do a mission with my new horse and i got the lady asking for help with another MFT dead alongside her in a new spawn i've never seen, on top of the letter "M" in Lemoyne, just on the right side on top of the letter just before the train tracks

Yeah I had avoided attempting this method at first (instead attempting the Albert mason stagecoach and track methods) because I'd already done the random event thing with the woman, so I thought it wouldn't work for me. Strangely enough, it actually did work for me regardless! 🤷
After many reloads and attempts I finally managed to spawn the old hag thrice all three running in different directions but the horse still on the ground

The lady spawns in different places on the map so is there any chance you can do this multiple times with a new MFT every time?
I found a way that doesn't feel like an exploit by chance yesterday. I went to the crossing south west of riggs station into the lock down area towards backwater and killed a bunch of law enforcement. I got lucky and got a silver dapple on my second wave. I'm in chapter 3 btw.

Sometimes The Pinkertons spawn in that area. They must have better horses.
I have killed bounty hunters in other areas. They sometimes have Mustangs and Hungarian Halfbreds but I've never seen a Foxtrotter.

I thought, at first, it was Sadie's horse but when I replayed Chapter 1 I found some dialogue where Sadie says: 'It's an O'Driscoll horse, you can shoot it for all I care'

No Joy. I've reloaded saves, I've slept, I've run away and come back...in Ch 3 and although she spawned three times, she failed to respawn after I blew most of her head off (and slaughtered the witnesses). I've looked away, I've gone back down the hill's back side, even jogged over and did the herbs stranger mission close by...with no luck on respawns and certainly not the continual respawns your video shows where they're just stacked up on each other.
Is it possible it's platform-specific? Ah well, may just wait until I get Cerberus a few missions from now on this replay. I'm pleased for the people it's working for though.
Hi Harrison. I don't think it's platform specific. It's vital that she doesn't see you because the mission will begin and she won't re-spawn.
If it's not working out for me I usually go off and do something else, some challenges or hunting before returning to try again.
There is a fair amount of luck involved.
It took me about three hours and SO many try’s but I got her. This method works just stick with it. 01/03/24
Just tried this on PC. Beginning of Chapter 3. Can get her to reliably spawn but have killed her 200+ times and the Pinto always falls over dead immediately. Womp womp.

@@luayja yes, each time the game is updated that is a new version (1.0, 1.1, 1.12, shit like that). If your game was updated and does not need anymore updates, then it is up to date and is the most recent version

December 2023 and this still worked. A little tip that worked for me, I probably did this 150 times and the horse kept respawning and dying. I finally got it to spawn alive by “overloading” the game a bit. I looked away from the spawn point and had Arthur change clothes, put on a mask, then a bandana then mask again then changed outfits 3 times then ate food, etc…. Next spawn after looking back the horse didn’t fall
Glad it’s still working, I’m trying it now and I’m up to about 40 shots or so. I’ll give your method a try and report back.

I got another Silver Dapple Pinto today, October 24, 2023 - on my PS4. Took me exactly one hour and three times loading my save. After loading the save for the third time I killed her only four or five times before I got a "live" horse. Took me totally by surprise. Also, hardly lost any honor because of the minimal amount of kills. To avoid confusion. I said I got another horse - naturally I am on a different playthrough (hadn't met her yet).

😂😂😂 Wow.. Anyway I got mine from Albert Mason Mission 3 where he captures horse picture. I tracked the MFT and Stabled it in Early Chapter 2. It took sometime to track and very much concentration 😂😂. Nice horse.

There was this one time I tracked from morning and end up found nothing that night.. he just love to walk back and forth, east and west without any possible threat in the area.. but got him finally after some times..

Still works as of 23.12.22! I shot her about 10 times and reloaded, on maybe the 5th reload it worked! Edit: on ps4, took me less than 30 mins

How did you get the lady and horse to spawn in the first place
I am guessing if you've already done the mission of taking the lady home you can't get it again?
i managed to get the pinto four times so far and its always been a mare so far. kept a save with the mare and have been using a previous save to reload. i kill her four times and if the horse hasnt spawned alive any of those times, i reload the save where i spawn a short distance away from face rock, get in position and wait a couple of seconds for her to spawn. havent kept exact count but the first time i'd say it took me like five reloads, so about 20 killings? not counting the few witnesses i shot of course. reloading after a few tries also helps with keeping your honor from plummeting lol. i'll try to get the pinto to spawn as a stallion, though im not sure if thats even possible. in the dialogue with the woman when you're bringing her back home, she doesn't mention wether the horse is a mare or stallion, so i'm hoping its not impossible for a stallion pinto to spawn. i'll probably update this, if i manage to get a stallion.

3/19/22 still working. My first try I shoot her like 100 times and nothing. I reload the game then I start shoot here and the horse the first couple of times. What I notice is, she has to respaw quicky enough so the horse dont fall. I think I got it after 10 shoot. Thanks for the vid

What if she doesn't ever spawn?
I was reported and sheriffs showed up. And this time after so many tries she got away! But the horse was standing!!! I went to chase it anyway but I couldn't catch it and tracking didn't work. Now it's not respawning.

This works as of January 2023. I did not know this method existed, Ive been using the Mason method the last several gameplay and that was an absolute nightmare every time. So nice that there is this one too! Might require a bit of patience but its god nothing on doing it Masons way

it works 08-30-21, can't figure out what activates the glitch yet. I let the crime get reported and the law came and cleaned up the bodies while I remained at the spot. The glitch resumed and got it on just a few tries after that, but that might have been just luck.

have you run into her before somwhere else? that may be the issue im about to try it right now and thats just my thinking im not to sure if you plan on doing it again with high honour save before doing it and if you get tired then go back to the save and do it another time or dont
@@c.a.t550 I met her many times in different places. I help her about 2 times. Now I met her near Saint Denis. But the horse was dead. Finally I got the horse (according to this video). I lost almost all my honor. I lost to choice free weapon at Valentine. I do not know why. But I have this horse.

Chapter two onwards, you can’t get the rolling block until chapter 3 but if you add a scope on the Springfield it works fine
seems Rockstar watches CZcams. tried it several hours, didnt work. Horse spawn always dead, or no spawn at all

I think it is all down to luck as it seems to be a random spawn.
Try leaving the area for a while. Do some hunting or exploring.
Return later and try again.

I saved the woman and the horse. You just need to save the game up in Cumberland Forest at 6am or so just before you meet her. Reload until you encounter her but her horse is near death but not dead. Hop on, feed, yours. I even gave her a ride on her own horse, which she then talked crap about!

@@andremelo9778 Chapter 2, right after opening the Legendary Bear with Hosea. Instead of hunting the bear, I rode with him back to camp and then slept until midnight. Then rode up to Cumberland forest getting there around 4am. I waited until 6am and then saved my game. She spawns in at 6:30 if memory serves me well.
@@andremelo9778 I saved the game above the ND in Cumberla"nd" Forest where there is a Y in the road. SE of the military fort. There is a 3 way intersection east of where I saved, that is where she spawns, there and south of that spot at the next intersection heading south.

You succeeded with me in chapter 4
This glitch is the real deal. Got one, stabled it and slept, returned and picked up another. It would appear you can keep going back. Save a game near Face Rock. It is totally random, if you don't get one after 10 kills, just reload. First one got after 1 kill, second after 3.

Still can't get it to spawn alive. Tried it for 2 days now (real world days). Tried everything you did here. It always spawns dead. Using the springfield rifle for this. Also got the schofield in the docs office in Valentine and the Lancaster Repeater from gunsmith in Rhodes. The woman is there, but every time I kill her, the horse always deops dead. Any tips?
You’re doing it all right it is just luck you could get it on the 3rd try or 100th try
You want to make sure the horse is dead before you kill her. If the horse is alive, do NOT kill her because that will also kill the horse.

I tried again and again with no luck... until today. Finally got one! I tried it after doing the mission called, "An Honest Mistake," as the original video you referenced talked about. I don't know if that made a difference, but I got it first try, after about 10 shots. It definitely will not work in Ch 2. Thanks again for all your help, buddy.
I can confirm that it definitely WILL work in Chapter 2. I just did it. The only missions I've done in Chapter 2 were Uncle's Valentine mission and Hosea's hunting mission. I even met the woman with Biscuit on the road to Emerald Ranch, lifted the horse off her, but refused to give her a ride because I was in a hurry.
I think not giving her a ride saved my skin this time on this playthrough, because I went to the exact spot on shown in this guide (only I followed Eugene's advice down below where he mentions go to the yellow flowers, because it makes it easier to get down from Face Rock if nothing else) and I saw the woman spawn. I shot her five or six times, the horse spawned alive, she ran off, I kept the Pinto in sight all the way down Face Rock and jumped on it, saddled it, took it to the stables, renamed it, and can confirm that all of this was done in Chapter 2 with only 2 story missions of Chapter 2 done.
I can live with the hit to honour. Hell I'll even take a $1,000 murder bounty to get that damn horse. :)
@@0SnakeDoctor Okay, I'll try it again next time I start a game. BTW, the Pinto you're getting here is not Biscuit, it the woman who asks you to take her to Lagras. Interestingly enough, I went to the same spot a while after getting mine and she and the horse were there again, which leads me to believe that you can do this over and over again. Anyway, I decided to give her a ride this time, and that's why I know it's the woman from Lagras.

Asher 8328 chill bro ..i suggest to you the best way to obtain best horse aside from MFT ..why not try the Black Arabian in St Denis? you can get it via random event..go to St Denis between 10 pm and 1 am along the wide road below the big letter E in the map ..you will notice the red X with circle from that point ride with your horse back in forth along the road between the given time and a random event will takes place about a couple being rob if you approach them you will notice a black horse ride on it and get away fast because sometimes it triggers you to be wanted but just keep on the run until you are out of the city then proceed to the nearest stable and keep your horse there ..and the BLACK ARABIAN is yours FREE of charge....or if you want another elite horse try the chapter 3 mission horse for flesh dinner you get the dark bay Turkoman...in that mission before starting got to the stable by way in the window look for the dark bay turkoman then feed it until you got the horse icon bonding level 1 ..then let mission continued as normal upon arrival in the horse fence feed again your your horse then let the mission end...after cut scene go back to the horse fence you will notice a horse icon whistle it and the Turkoman will be yours for FREE again..😄😄

You used to be able to force spawn her and the horse up near moonstone and baccus? even once in the early days (Still unpatched Gold Bar glitch early) i found it going between valentine and the oil fields! this one seems wayyy more reliable!!! ty.. imgoing to try tis near moon stone first, ill comment back in a few if it works or not..
i had the horse spawn at moonstone pond like 25 times in a row, both top the hill and below the hilll.. but soon as i found this trick!? i couldnt get it to spawn again!!! Lol so still unknown
Hi Savannah. I think they Face Rock method needs a lot of patience but it does eventually work.
Two players have commented today that they have made it work, so it is not patched.

I just started a play through a while ago, we’ll time to restart.
I actually did see her spawn in CHAPTER 2, butat first i didnt so either reload the game or just go to the train tracks behind and then come back, BUT even though i kept trying and when i ran outta bullets i reloaded the game it JUST DIDNT WORK. the horse didnt stay alive. imma try again and say what happened but so far, these were my results
it did work for me but for some FREAKING reason my progress didnt save and i had to do it again and no luck

Hi. She will spawn more than once. I've just been shooting at her while sat on the Pinto I got from her the other day.
If she's not there; try riding off the rock, you don't have to go far, then go back and try again.
Some people say they just look away then look back again and she will spawn.
