Honestly i think this game will just get better over time, its only been out 3/4 days and people are expecting retail wow standards which has been out for like 20 years.
I'm still having fun!

The game actually runs quite well on an iPad mini. Can’t say I’d do dungeons mobile but questing is chill and kind of fun. Pretty descent for mobile

You got it right, most of the old gamer are now have full time jobs and shifting to mobile mmorpg fits in our busy schedule.

I’ve played for a few hours on phone and pc. I love the nostalgia feeling of WOW. This game has been fun. I’ve tried out 5 characters in those few hours. Played a Bard for most and I’ve never played as a bard before in any game. Everywhere I go I like to spam that I’m a Bard!!! So far game is fun on both phone and pc. Pc is way better. Phone is harder to move or make quick decisions but maybe I need to play it more. Anyway, I like it so far. Made it to the end.
I'm enjoying my alt bard too! just need to get it to 40 and into the raids :D
tbh i am loving this, i dont usually play mmo's i like the simpler stuff, i was a destiny 2 addict until i couldnt pay anymore and the content was getting repetitive, played pso2 new genesis for some good 100 hours and also loved that game a ton.
this is similar to new genesis, not that much to do or really grind for BUT you can make bank by reselling stuff to get skins!!
the trading currency is also used to buy the player resellers "cash crystals" that then turn into bound crystals that you cant resell, so you basically grind a tad to craft something and then sell it on the market, to them get that gold and buy the cash currency which yes you can even buy the monthly premium with that same currency which is awesome.
just beware and wait for people to sell the cash currency BELOW 20 per piece, that way you gonna get a few dozens while wasting less gold.

@@LiamHYT its on the market screen, then you see the TABS BELOW its the fourth i think called Consignation something similar. so you can literally buy the cash in the game and literally pay for your own skins and the MONTHLY PREMIUM if you grind enough the market which i absolutely loved it.

The time gating is like Season of Discovery in WOW but much faster. There is actually a load of stuff to do imo. I thought I wouldn't like this game but, despite the jankiness with story and localization, I do like this.
I like it because I have work to do and I like to feel I am done.
The game IS pay to win in the same WOW is as you can buy gold. With that gold you get gems and such which give substantial stat boosts.
You can get them by playing.
The battle pass is character bound btw. As well as cosmetics.
But I never felt I HAD to buy anything, I bought one thing because the game is entertaining me, so I think the devs deserve to be paid for that work.
it's ''the room'' in mmo version, the voice acting is soo bad it's hilariously good.

For a f2p games, this game is really good and so popular here in asia, simply because it is f2p and people here having hard time to access WoW, and can't even start WoW ideally like a new mmorpg.

Thanks for the review. Even there are a lot of negative reviewers on youtube, I am enjoying the game so far and I play on PC only. As a working dad myself, this is giving me the WOW feeling and I can also play with my older son. So not bad at all.

Got to the end and joined your channel, i played new world wen first came out, put 2k hours in, not played for 6 months or so, looking for something to scratch the itch until ashes alpha 2, maybe this is it....

I'm ex wow veteran player. I'm only playing on mobile. It's the best mmo on mobile to date. Really give me back the old school wow vibe on the go.

End of the video, it’s a great game imo. Nothing ground breaking, it’s a simple good mmo. I was told a bunch of negative stuff so I came In expecting trash but I’m honestly enjoying it.
Glad you made it to the end and same here, I think a lot of content creators jumped on the "mobile, Chinese, p2w" stereotype without actually fully trying it for them selves
I can say that it plays perfectly on my S23U (phone), and if you only review based on mobile, it's pretty good.
It definitely has some meh parts, like how the classes don't really stand out mechanically. Or how it's skin based, so changing armor visually does nothing (I'm not a fan of that).
Yeah I like picking up a new piece of gear and then noticing my character looking different too, only thing i would say is, in other mmo's when you pick up that new piece of gear (not epic gear) most of them look trash anyway so at least in this game they give good looking skins from in game rewards or the paid ones

It seems some of the bigger mmo youtubers have a personal vendetta against the game, hating on it for the sake of hating on it, especially mmobyte...
I've been playing mmorpg's for decades now, and Tarisland actually very positively surprised me.
It lacks a crazy amount of polish, animations, camera, cutscenes, sounds are all wacky, but the fundamentals of a good, fun mmorpg are there.
Combat is fun and responsive, boss mechanics are decent, there's quite a lot of stuff to do even though the game just launched. The monetization is currently very fair for a free mmo too.
If the monetization doesn't change for the worse and the game improves and adds new content, then Taris may very well become my go to mmorpg after a hard day at work for years to come.
Glad you liked my take :) and yeah I seen a couple of those other vids before playing and before making mine, but thats opinions I guess? everyone is different, but yeah im 60-70hrs in now and still enjoying it, content daily is slowing so time to make some alts :D

I must be really out of touch cause I thought this game was VERY F2P friendly, as opposed to a lot of games released in the recent past where you can easily spend 10k on the first week and break the game.
I agree, I've completed all the current content in the game (bar the odd challenge mode) and I've not spent a £ so far :)

Got to the end! I started this game on mobile and so far I like it. Don’t know if I’m gonna stick with it but I’ve barely played so I’m gonna give it more time. I do feel like people are too hard on it though bc for a mobile mmo it’s pretty decent!

Honestly love the game. I’m a dad of two so I only have limited time so my current mobile rotation of this, wuthering waves, squad busters and brawl stars keeps me plenty busy haha

I am having fun with this time filler, but! The bots on NA server are ridiculous and obvious. Iv seen them in pvp and pve - They are much more obvious in dungeons as they will just stand there and wait for you to attack, then the bot/bots will attack. Lastly is the company that owns this game - They have a massive p2w history so I think its just a matter of time before we see it here.
The bots are made by the developers to shorten the queue times.
Yeah I've seen the bot players for dungeons, and tbh, if I want to run a low level dungeon on my new alt at 3am and it gets insta filled by bots as no one else is on to do it, I'm fine with that :)
Yea the bots suck. I play a mmo to play with other real people. Not AI. Makes no sense. If you have to put bots in your game, then it’s dead to begin with. I give this game 2-3 years before the population dries up.
Im digging it quite a bit, the challenge mode dungeons are tuned perfectly, almost no mistakes can be made. Voice acting and story is terrible lol but honestly im here for the hardcore pve content
Yeah seen some others complain about the voice overs, but tbh, the rest of the game makes up for it to the point It doesnt bother me anymore :)

It’s playable however vigor craft system is nippy save everyone the bother to be viable pvp just go in as a squad of mages as melee isn useless pvp even shadow swordsman dusent play how it’s supposed too stealth only lasting ten seconds for example I got 4/5 lvl 40 n mage is pretty much all that’s needed

I tried it but couldn't remap the skill keys, so had to uninstall.

Itnis possible but its not a very intuitive system to do so
it's something to do with keyboard layout, it's finicky to get it working. For me not being able to bind to numb pad and home/end keys(mmo mouse stuff) was meeh, not a total deal breaker. The deal breaker was mouse not turning... Which has been a bug since the early betas, and the only solution so far found was reinstall windows.
Ive been enjoying the progression, combat and pvp in this game. Too many nitpickers whinning why this game is not like 'x' game not every game needs to be compared to each other for what this game is its enjoyable atm.

I hear and see the opposite, it’s too much like other games. No real innovation, nothing is great and nothing is game breaking. We have all been playing this game for the past 20 years, just with a different device and under a different name.

Yeap 8 gen 1 is horrendous, similar experience here, even on a tab. Plays like a charm in my xiaomi 14 with sd 8gen 3 without overheating, and thats a smaller size smartphone.

I enjoy a simpler Rotation and less Buttons. Graphics are Always a Personal preference in my opinion. I think both are okay. The timegating ist a bit confusing to me especially the closed auction House. I guess wow auctioneers are working Overtime 😂

Max lvl now and their is no quests and nothing to do but.log on and sit around. Done all the dungeons and daily and whatever else they got. They need to add more levels and more lands to explore. I don't see anyone flying and the areas are small to explore. Need more content. I'm going back to perfect world international PC.
Yeah so there is more content coming soon! and seasons by the looks of it with the first season being the shorted (1-2 months) and a ton of new content with each season, have you tried rolling new characters? tank, healer, dps etc ? :)

Its such an awful game. And this is coming from someone who played until level 30 and participated in multiple raids. The dowload and space requirements are crazy. 8 gb of space needed on the phone btw. Everything felt boring and uninspired, from voice overs to controls, target switching, lag in skill usage, raids that take 20 min to do, boring plotline, gender locked classes, p2w, crafting issues and so much more. By the time i got to level 30 after hours of play I felt like i wasted so much time. I ended up deleting my character and the game. I predict this wont last a year before they start merging servers.
Alot of valid things here, I play on PC and alot of the things you mention aren't an issue on PC so maybe give it a go on there and see if it makes much of a difference for you? other things like gender locked classes will be updated eventually, think the game has announced they will be sorting that :)
4/10, can enjoy but not standing for long on it.

Was very excited the first days I played this, to have such a game playable on mobile was amazing... then I realized enemies dont give xp or loot, so I stopped playing. What is the point of an open world if you cant go out and farm stuff... At the end of the day, it's yet another game that just controls your progress with a daily checklist. Pass

@@LiamHYT I am sad tho, since Ive been wanted an mmo for mobile for a long time. But they always have autobattle, wich for me is a nono. So the first days of tarisland were awesome. Of course, I focused on main quest and doing all the things the tutorials showed me. But when I finally decided to go out and explore.... I realized the world is ... a placeholder. You just get stuff by doing limited stuff. You cant go out there and explore, kill, farm....

@@isaacwilson3781 Thanks for the recommendation. I did try it tho, only shortly, and while it was good, the pvp nature of it wasnt exactly in sync for what I needed it. I have many short times to play on the phone, not long ones. So I cant really depend on players being able to kill me, or doing long dungeons. Something like wow on mobile, (the leveling and farming part, not hte raids) would have been great, and tarisland looked like it, but wasnt
@@kaltorakh truu theres no like farming this mob in this place for this drop etc, but on the other hand the loot is guaranteed (bar perfect attributes) which could be a big plus for some players who dont like to endlessly grind for loot that may never drop

Could be a 500hr+ review. But the fact you are reviewing this as a pc game makes it all moot. This is a MOBILE GAME WITH PC PORT. And the sooner all yous content creaters make peace with this fact thing will go along smoothely.
I will never be able to play the PVP due to the hours so I guess I will uninstall. Not playing a game that will forever be locked out of.

The gear models are skins not so much actual gear models
There is like 3-4 gear models and that’s like level 40+ stuff which I am and still no helmet for barbarians and most

the game is going to go one of two ways. either theyre gonna charge out the ass for everything. @@LiamHYT agreed however I've already purchased a top up to see how things work out. Needed to understand a little of the payment mechanics. I'm telling you it doesn't look good. I'm gonna keep playing here and there to check up. But I've seen this too many times to get sucked in. They need magic right now. It would take a miracle for this to go right for them if they don't pull pull it back to closed beta and continue development either that or what were experiencing is only half of what the full release is. I just don't see this game doing anything but whale hunt to survive. Games totally Moby Dick slaying.
This game is a wow clone for those that have never played an mmo. Simple, easy to understand and pretty. If your looking for a challange this is not the game for you.

@@mntssth5004 not sure what that ment. However, i am refering to the simpliatic questing system, basic model creation for players and the simple combat when i call it a wow clone. The game is fun. if your looking for something casual to play that requires little attention to characrer development and combat then this is great.
Have you tried challenge raids in Tarisland? its not that easy tbh.
@@dave8413 yes i have. And they were no more challanging then most average raids in ff or wow. Especially with the overly timed indicators. Im not down talking the game its enjoyable just being real about the playable content.
challenge mode dungeons and raids are a challenge if you queue with randoms ;)

Nothing great about it. It feels clunky and boring. It’s basically a 20 year old game ported for mobile. If you’ve never played a good MMO I could see how you would think this is great. Think about this, 20 years after Pong the gaming landscape advanced drastically and had actual character models and levels. Almost 20 years after Wow we get another wow clone. This just shows the lack of innovation and the stale state of gaming today.
Its not perfect, but, 6 days in im still enjoying it :)

Got to level 20 on day one and lost all interest in the game because of the level gate. Hopped on day 2 and 2 seconds after logging in, I logged out. Why level gate the game? I guess they like to time gate their players instead of letting their players actually play the game. Time gate = bad game.
I got lvl40, there is a challange dungeon, it has many levels, the highest level: floor11-15 unlocks 992 days later xddd
They want us to play this game every day that bad
I explained why I think they time gated it (we are on day 6 now and up to lvl 40 with multiple dungeons, raids, challenge modes, PvP, Arenas are out now, etc etc stick with it :)

Lol new world has been dead since about a few months after release.
Depends what you call dead tbh, but its been active enough to play all group content, stream and make YT vids until about the last 3-4 months
@@LiamHYT Going based purely off player count and statistics. Even obscure mmos/games from the 90s have higher player counts. if something is dead, just because I love it and pump money into it and can find a few people to do it with me, doesn't mean its alive and roaring.
