My girl from Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 did us proud. She had the poise of a queen, knew how to speak and never seemed nervous unlike some of the other girls. The interpreter also butched her answer. I wish they would hire competent people to translate the answers.

Absolutamente todo cuenta, México tuvo buen inicio, subió en los tops, era amable con los fans que estaban en el hotel, era constante en sus redes sociales, se tomaba videos y fotos con todas las chicas, en todas las páginas de belleza salían fotos de ella, Perú se apagó en la concentración, no destacó en nada, fue muy poca su interacción en Instagram, incluso en el hotel llegaron a gritarle que despertara, ella simplemente se confió, todas las chicas tenían las mismas posibilidades de ganar, pero estaba en ellas si decidían tomar esa posibilidad, Perú era mi latina favorita pero el creer que por responder mejor la pregunta que tu compañera está mal, eso no la hace ganar. I who have personally worked along with beauty pageants know that there’s a lot to take into consideration to crown someone. First of all, remember that this is a beauty pageant and that things such as body, face measures, walking, posture, confidence, interaction with the public, camera management and height are very important. Mexico in my opinion, was a very complete contestant and very deserving of the crown. Her answer to the question asked, although somewhat vague, is good and rational enough. But she also, alike other participants, talked with the judges a day prior to the final completion in which she, again alike other participants, presented her social plan which is also heavily graded. In such netting, participants can further develop relationship with judges and present themselves as people and individuals while taking into consideration that they are participants. We should be respectful of the winner and remember that she was named Ms. Universe not by Latinos, not by Mexicans, but by professional judges that know who is deserving of the title as Ms. Universe. She is not at fault for being named Ms. Universe, I ask you all to be respectful and support the causes that truly matter such as the contest who won the national costume section of this competition. I unfortunately do not remember her country name but she talked about the very BIG problem that the people in her country are facing. Also Andrea Meza, Ms. Universe winner, had Chinese descent, maybe the contra of your liking may win next time but please be respectful of the winner this year.
