Biréli Lagrène is a French guitarist and bassist. He came to prominence in the 1980s for his Django Reinhardt-influenced style on the guitar, as well as for being a jazz fusion virtuoso on the electric guitar. He often performs within the swing, jazz fusion and post-bop mediums.

Bireli Lagrene is doing on the guitar what the great clarinetist: Benny Goodman did on the Jazz clarinet......and what the great jazz violinist: Stephane Grappelli did on the violin....and it takes a genius to do this which all of these great musicians had and have......I'm in awe....I wish I could do what Bireli Lagrene is doing on my flamenco guitar! Ole!

them there eyes is very diatonic and can be simplified to Dmaj and Gmaj on the latter half of the B section.
BUT! Bireli is truly trying to make new and creative things happen on the fly.
very true to Django Reinhardt fashion of playing.
