I love the amount of people who weren't listening to you about how you feel Ren fits amongst musical genres. Never once did you say he couldn't rap or didn't have bars. Some people need to get their ears cleaned. 😂😂😂

Dotta responded… Said Rens diss was sick and he’s leaving it there. Just got some respect for him for that.
Dotta had to leave it because whenever he was talking shit Ren reached out to him and said OK you want to talk shit let’s do one diss each and let the people choose who is better. They agreed to make it a one take but Dotta’s dumbass had to read his own lyrics off of his phone . He couldn’t even remember his own rhyme, what a shitty rapper.
I just don't think ren has it in him to be an actual hateful person. He responded for respect of the hiphop culture. Like he said he played the game. But he then lifted him up because that's what ren does.

This is me being totally real right now.
I was never pissed at dotta for the shit he said about me, even about race as ill explain below , but I did want to earn his respect because he comes at it from a place much truer to the origins of hiphop than I do. Yeah I've had a life full of adversity, and had to hustle and grind 10 times harder than most because of the physical limitations from my body, but hiphop first and foremost is a music rooted within the civil rights movements, birthed in ghettos, and rather than being vulture of that culture I want to earn my place within it rather than be a tourist.
Dottas flow reminded me of the 50s, Royce, Xzibit, biggie, bizarre etc. I thought he was really sick which is why I took it up, regardless of what I said in the battle I think he's dope cause he reminded me of alot of the rap I listened to growing up.
I don't ever believe there should be segregated lines drawn between music. Music is the closest thing to God I know, and it's ability to unify people in my oppinion is second to none, however within that we should still respect the origins, uphold traditions, and pay homage to the greats who paved the way to make it possible. THats why dotta is correct when he said hiphop is black music. It is , just like fish and chips is British food, that doesn't mean everyone can't enjoy it, and even Excell at it in the cases of the Eminems, beastie boys, mac millers etc.
My favorite thing about how this panned out was that me and dotta were able to respect and laugh about it after it was all said and done even though we come at it from a totally different background.
I hope we can all look at our opposition the same way cause there's way too much in the world that divides us and keeps us separated from our common goals"
Every once in a while I look for new reactions to Ren, I don’t know why I missed yours at the time, but I just watched it today, that’s why you’re getting a random late response 😂 I just wanted to say, I don’t know how old you guys are, but you look really young…..and yet you both seem, really switched on, intelligent, self and socially aware guys, who see the big picture way clearer, than some reactors who are more than twice your age. Taking emotion and bias out of your opinions, is something everyone struggles with, to varying degrees, it’s how we are wired…..but you guys, (sorry I don’t know your names) you have a great grasp on that concept already! I was reading the comments and I think some missed what you were actually saying. You know Ren can rap. You said he does all the styles. I was Listening lol. I enjoy all of Ren's music. I don't get bored. You might get an amazing rap flow and beat one song. Might get a singing song next. A storytelling song next. I just enjoy his artisty ❤

The fact is, Ren has a very high social intelligence. He knew he could bar him to death and did... but then reeled it back in and showed how it was all ludicrous. Using this method, he knew he would take the W regardless, just because it was all relatable to the people who are getting tired of seeing fabricated beef and hate.

Ren is a storyteller. A modern day bard. I've heard his style referred to as "bardcore". In my opinion, he's in his own genre. Like you guys mentioned, he's not in any one box.

The fact that Europeans, white people, westerners, get the spotlight when talking about "ending slavery" pisses me off immensely, because who did the real work? Who was lynched and treated worse than a sick dog? Not all those "kind" white people. And why do we chose to see them through some kinda rose-tinted lens, just because they did the right thing? Fine, it's a good thing people change to the better, but the fact that we applaud Lincoln for example, makes me fuming. Why is it still a fact that people (at least the ones who actually opened a book in their life) can mention more white abolitionists than black?
Every underdog needs supporters, don't get me wrong, but at the end of the day it's the underdog him/herself who's actually putting the hard labor in. When talking about the American history of slavery with white Americans I stumble upon more individuals who still licks upwards and kicks downwards; using childish arguments; victim-blaming; culture vulturing et cetera.
I know shame and guilt when I see it, but that's not what's showing in these cases. It's the inability to take a step back, re-evaluate the situation, and realizing your own part in it, and then put in the work needed when asked by one of those who still get kicked in the face (metaphorically) on a daily basis. Because people rarely needs salvation. They need support.

ren makes music for nearly two decades i think.
Ren had a contract with Sony ( more than a decade ago I think) but when he became I’ll they dropped him. He avoided singing about his struggles with his disease and misdiagnosis - as he did not want to be defined by it. Ironically it was Hi Ren that he released 12/22 that created a groundswell of admiration and support. I believe his sub numbers was around 250,000 then.
