You should review a 2021 semi or tow truck
How about running a vacuum thru and wiping that filthy interior next time you film. I feel sick!
My friend in Vegas bought the black edition Ridgeline just a few weeks ago. Its a pretty damn cool truck that leans more towards urban life.
Love you man but where's your pride? Your going to turn your truck back in looking like that?
Your videos helped me modify my 2019 Ridgeline. First thing was that door mod, then a tonneau, and then rims. I absolutely love this truck!
Glad I was able to help over the years. It is a really good truck.
17,000 miles in 3 years? Lol. That's maybe 6 months for me. Selling a 2017 RTL with 160,000 miles... Bought a 2019 RTL-E. Love these trucks!
Yea I didnt drive much at all lol
I have an 06 I've got 118,000. Its just getting broke in!
Bought a 2020 RTL-E. Love it. Thanks for all your help
Nice! Thanks for your support!
I have a 2008 that I love, 160,000 miles of trouble free joy. Used the truck for daily commutes, towing a light trailer and alot of hauling items. Been through three home moves that was really helped. Had three storage units that I was always moving alot of stuff. On and on, so handy. Great features is trunk in bed, two way tailgate with a protected and clean spare tire in trunk. Great space in back seat section as they flip up. First version of Ridgeline has rear doors that fully-open, unlike second generation.
You returned it super dirty and with the gas light on.. Lol
Haha yea :)
I traded in my Nissan Rogue with interior cleaned, I think it’s people’s responsibility to keep the car cleaned before returning, if you get the car new and clean, better return it in clean condition.
Black Whirlwind me too! I return my leases in very clean condition. I wash it and make sure the interior is cleaned. I try to leave a great impression so they don’t try to charge me for any damages to the vehicle.
Plus with off road tires? That’s begging to have the dealer accuse one of off road abuse and wheel bearing wear
Screw them with the rates they charge and how they love to cancel your warranty at the drop of a hat. Who knew living on a grid road and driving a Honda on a grid road voids your warranty.
Cannot believe you turned in soooo filthy. 😔 glad they didnt sell to you like that. Respect man, respect
Agreed.... I wouldn't show my trash on YT... or really let it get that bad... yuck
Some people give no fucks
I have a 2017 Sport edition Ridgeline. I love it! I always keep my vehicles for 5 years and then trade out so next year I'll be trading for a 2021 or 2022 Ridgeline. It is such a comfortable riding vehicle. The cloth on the seats is not the sturdiest but I hear they have made improvements. I live in Montana and it has been good for winter driving.
I’d be embarrassed to return a vehicle like that. What a dump.
Some people are just pigs....
I can't believe how dirty it was. When the camera panned to the rear seat... wtf...
You are one of the reasons I bought new 2019 ridgeline. And no, I'm not selling it. And no, I'm not trading it in. And no, I'm not getting a Tesla. Lol. (Even though I want one). I really do love my RTL-T ridgeline. Thank you for helping me make up my mind when I purchased.
Kim, glad you love your ridgeline and that I had an influence in that. :).
Been shopping these for the last 3 months, very pleased with the space, ride, and practicality. I've always driven v6 4door sedans, the whole truck thing has never appealed to me, but this thing is definitely for me.
Just got my Ridgeline and I love it. It is a 2010 with less than 100,000 miles on it. Going to put on blue tooth but stockotherwise. One owner before who took care of it. Decided it’s name is Bernard. 6th pickup I have owned. May be the best for me.
I can't wait for the 2021 Ridgeline review. Hurry!
Don't worry about the rear little window. If anything just get a bed extender. Way better than putting all long piece of wood in your cabin
You've got sooo lucky with the weather. Last week was beautiful indian summer (I see you're wearing a t-shirt on the day of filming), today we had snow in Chicagoland! Brrrrr! Thanks for the video!!!
Thank you for the Ridgeline videos! Those helped me decide to purchase a 2019 RTL AWD. I have had it almost a year, and really like it! Surprised that you leased it. I bought my first truck after its lease ran out - 1997 Dodge Dakota. Ridgeline was a good replacement.
You're welcome :) I always lease my cars because I like to get a new car every 3 or so years.
Love the TFL reference! Lived this Ridgeline series, thanks!
Excellent review! I was thinking about getting a used Ridgeline and this provided me with a ton of information. Thank you!
Thanks!
Do it, you won't regret it.
Gearing up to get the 2021? I see you. That HPD Ridgeline looks good.
He’s gonna shit up another interior and show the world how he’s slob ... guys like this prob spread the corona virus like whoa ... CLEAN YOUR SHIT NOBODY WANTS TO SEE IT
HPD is $2800 for bronze alloy wheels, grille and stickers. It’s basically cosmetic, no tuning or other mechanical performance.
Bought a Sport and love it!
If I had a truck that was that dirty I’d be embarrassed to make a video of it. C’mon man, get a dust rag and a vacuum will ya.
It hurts my eyes
No pride.
Wow guys just wach the video and stop complaining..
CZcamsrs often make so little money, they need to work a normal job on top of it. Add family concerns to that. Not everyone is some unmarried 23 year old, who can make sure the car is pretty, for the CZcams videos.
Im always sus of clean trucks. They dont get used. Never trust a mechanic with shiny tools
You are spot on the value of the Ridgeline; "just the right amount of truck". Thanks for your great reviews on this product. One of the reasons we now own our 2020 RTL-E. We love this vehicle. Gratefully.
Thanks I appreciate it. I'm glad I was able to showcase the truck for what it is. Too many discount it due to the looks but it really is thr best midsize truck out there.
@@DriversOnly Agreed, I think what baggage goes along with the Ridgeline comes from people "who are down on what their not up on". I was also surprised to discover that the Ridgeline is the most "American made" trucks in the country.
I've never seen a car maker fix so many issues that their customers complain about. The 2021 Ridgeline looks to be a fix for every complaint I've heard about this truck now that it will have a new aggressive front end look and a silly volume control knob.
I have the 2020 sport the trunk and the back seats folding up were part of the reason I bought it. Nice ride got a rack to carry my canoe and it pulls my pop up camper no problem. I kept my 99 B3000 for 20 years do miss the clearance it had but it was 2 wheel drive and got me where I needed to go but I just feel more comfortable having the all wheel drive. I’ve taken it the same place’s as the old truck and have had no problems. Plan on keeping this one for 20 years if I make it that long. Thanks for the video’s.
If you really loved this vehicle you would clean it every now and then. How can someone treat their vehicle like a garbage dump?
I’d hate to see his home!
It's crazy that the same version ( Sport ) is different in Canada , first the drivers seat is totally electric , second we have media screen and cd player ( which is still used on occasion ) , and finally on stering wheel we have '' line watch '' , l bought my Ridgeline ( 2017 ) first days in 2020 december and still appreciate !
I could never thank you enough for the rear door hack!
Haha...appreciate the support. Yea HUGE difference it makes :).
Great review.
Thanks
Hello, you mentioned installed all terrain tires in your Ridgeline 2018, could you tell us size of them?, you kept original 245/60/R18? I want to install BFGoodrich K02 265/60/R18 in my 2021 RTL, what do you think?
I have a 2018 Ridgeline Touring(Canada). I don’t drive it a lot but I really like it.
I know someone with a 2017 that she got in late 2016. She drives it a lot. Last time I talked to her, which is a few months ago, she had 390,000km(~250,000miles) on it. She ran into a lot of problems. I think she had to replace the injectors 3-4 times already
Yeah I’m just disturbed/mortified that you would ever return this to a dealer in this condition. Can’t believe anyone would have the nerve to show this vehicle to others and openly say “glad I don’t have to clean this”. SMH
thank you for your ridgeline videos, i now own a 2020 black edition =)
Awesome, congrats!
I enjoyed all your Ridgeline videos, very informative.
Thank you!
"so I don't have to clean it"?? did you ever ??? 🤮
That truck had to stink. Dude is a total slob and no respect to return a vehicle with all that garbage in it.
Man that’s nasty dirty I wouldn’t have my car have any dirt inside like that that’s not me 👎
I wonder what his house looks like?
Is so nasty inside even the stereo screen was so dusty
Great review and very informative sir. Good luck with model Y. One day I will own it 😂.
I love my 2017 RTLE, definitely going to upgrade to the 2021 ridgeline soon tho
So soon?
Traded in my F150, 5.0 was burning oil (reprogrammed PCV but still made off noises and knocks)…got a ‘21 Ridgeline Sport and best choice ever!
I bought a 2014 Ridgeline..... I 💓Love It!!!! 😁👏🙌
2021 is mines 💯
Looks so much better
I like your reviews. I have a 2019 BE which I leased before for my work. Now we have decided to own in. Everything is good except for the ground clearance 😊.
Nice! Add on a 1.5" or 2" lift kit
Really liked the Ridgeline when I test drove one. If I did not go off-roading it would be the one to get
I've been watching your crypto channel for a long time. Here I am looking at Ridgeline videos and just yelled "WE'RE ALL GEORGE!" Never knew you had this channel!
What kind of after market wheels did you have? Thanks!
Hello! Love your channel! Been with you for almost 2 years! Need your advice. I love the Ridgeline, especially the new 2021 HPD!
I also like the new Nissan Titan Pro 4 X. Which one would you recommend me to get? 2 totally different trucks but I trust your judgement😊
I would 100% get the 2021 Ridgeline
Why even consider a Nissan? They are the General Motors of Japan.
damn, im not a truck guy but you are making good points on this one and tempting me
Haha nice. Ridgeline is like driving a midsize suv with a bed. Best of both worlds.
Great longterm review. Thanks
Glad you liked it!
Looking to get a good deal on leftover 2020 Ridgeline. Did you review the tonneau cover? Also, besides the front of the car what is the major difference between 2020 and 2021? Thanks
Check out my 2021 Honda Ridgeline video to hear about the changes. czcams.com/video/81JnsvF8uXk/video.html
I love my Ridgeline. I’m really excited for the front end change on the 2021 model.
Me not so much. I'm worried Honda is emulating the mistake Toyota did with the PreRunner. Going towards the big boxy look.
I hope you come back to the Ridgeline after its next generational update so we can see you run all your tests over again and tell us if it has truly evolved or only made incremental upgrades.
What was the payment, down payment, and buyout option price? It seems like they lose their value faster than the Tacoma and frontier.
Yes you have to clean out the truck or the dealership will ding you with clean up fees. 😂
Leasing might be the smart thing. You don't have to spend 2000 dollars to replace the timing belt, pulley, tensioner, and water pump every 60k to 80k miles.
@Driversonly, boy are you going to miss that Ridgeline! I finally made the leap into one a couple of weeks ago and am pleased beyond words with the decision. A few days after purchase the 2021 came out, but I'm completely pleased with the '20s looks, so I'm fine. Hope your kids don't trash out your next vehicle! LOL
Yea I think I will! Ridgeline is a great truck.
I really like the look of the 2021 but also don't have a problem with the pre-facelift cars. If there are good deals to be had on 2020s once the 2021s hit lots I'll likely go for a 20
@@WidgetWW , yes I agree. You might just be able to do that. Keep in mind, though, that Honda is offering o.o% loans right now. Same as cash can be a good incentive if you can effect a good sales price.
Thanks for sharing
I just picked up a 1-owner 2019 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition with 11,500 miles. It had the floor liners, roll-n-lock bed top, Michelin LTX M/S tires with black Voxx wheels that had only 7,500 miles. I'm decking it out with accessories. One question how did you black out the chrome? I purchased Honda window vent visors came chrome ...went to Honda dealer stated they dont make black chrome for Black Edition WTF? I looked at using Vinyl tape but that only lasts 5-7 years (Sun/Heat) so I ordered I think its SEM high gloss black paint for chrome. So I gotta tape them up before spraying vent visor chrome....thank you for the rear door hacker trick...what level kit did you use? I also went for a 2017-19 for the purpose of the 6 speed...too many issues with push button like people driving on freeway then shifted to park 😲 Thx again 4 your vids
Nice summary, but what's really funny and remarkable is how you're turning in your Ridgeline. It takes all kinds I guess.
The only thing weirder than the low miles is the excessive dirtyness lol
Can you fit a set of golf clubs in the lockable trunk?
Did you remove the 1.5 inch leveling kit you put on when you returned it?
I did not...too much work!
Link to that black window trim? To cover the chrome
What’s the difference between plywood and lumber?
How was Honda lease program? I’m
Currently with Toyota lease and it’s up in 8 months.
Honda did a great job with the Ridgeline exterior.. It looks great.. Love the tall more upright stance, which results in better visibility, more room (and more headroom), and is more comfortable. I like this version with the traditional shifter (don't like the rotary knob or push button shifter). But not sure what Honda was thinking with bad and unattractive dashboard layout. If they just would have made it with a more traditional dashboard layout - get rid of the digital speedo and add a traditional needle speedo .. and add lots of large knobs and traditional controls - this would be an even more fantastic truck.
What bed cover did you have on there ????
Having kids is no excuse for the truck being that nasty. Be responsible for cleaning up after them.
Great Review. I am dying to buy the 2021 model !
Yea looks badass!
Honda did good come 2021.
-more trucky front -even chrome accents on back removed
- locking tailgate
-back doors open more
-volume knob!
I must admit they still have room for improvement :
-should have had pilot’s infotainment and tune knob (Def ancient and laggy as it is).
I just bought a 2018 ridgeline sport over the weekend with 16k miles.
Hope you keep your model y clean this time.
"I'm glad I'm returning it so I don't have to clean it." Geez. That sounds awful.
This is what I need
*I hope Honda FINALLY adds ventilated seats to the 2021 Ridgeline like it has been offering for years on the Canadian version. Why do I have to buy it in Canada for ventilated seats when the USA is known for hot weather and Canada isn't?*
Ditto in Hawaii. Only Hyundai/Kia seem to offer ventilated seats without wanting top option $10K more. If their soon to release truck is competitive with Ridgeline and oh yes they have some knobs and buttons instead of 100% touch screen it could be my deal breaker. Honda has some innovations like the tailgate but they took 4 years to change the grille? Seems they are tone deaf to what their target market wants.
Not to mention their Acura touch pad control. Guaranteed to sell less vehicles if they ever add that to their Honda cars.
@@gregmyrland2515 Great points! And I didn't even know Hyundai/KIA were going to release a truck. Do you have any links to check it out? Bet it will be a game changer..the way Hyundai's Genesis brand has been.
Trade it in for a Dyson 🤦🏽♂️
😂😂😂
Good night 2007 honda ridgeline am having a problem with the meter not working
Dude. Can't believe you kept your truck that dirty and gross. My lord. I had young kids too but there's a thing called a vacuum.
They will put the clean up tab on your last payment I assure you.
Thanks for your thoughts and review. I'm actually torn between a 2021 Ridgeline and oddly a minivan 2021 Sienna both for utilitarian purposes. Coming from a traditional truck and as much as I like the utility of a truck, I'm just not wanting the drivability of a truck anymore.
Go with a ridgeline then...thats why I got mine. Doesnt drive or act like a truck at all but you still can use it as one.
These are the exact two vehicles I'm trying to decide between also haha. I've long wanted a Ridgeline and the 2021 is huge improvement looks-wise, but a van is so useful in all kinds of situations. I like the gas mileage of the Sienna (being a hybrid) but wish they had made the second row seats removeable. A plug-in hybrid Ridgeline would be my dream vehicle.
The new sienna is a nice van. But I prefer even the odyssey to it. The sienna gives little feedback and almost feels like you’re hovering instead of driving. Incredibly smooth. To a fault.
For me I’d decide wether I want the van interior space or the truck practicality. Both ridgeline and odyssey are great.
FYI I work at Toyota. I’m not bias. Siennas are cool.
Love your reviews on this truck. One question. Is the trunk insulated?
I guess so? I never hear anything in the trunk from the cab.
It can be used as a cooler but not insulated like a cooler. Has a drain plug.
It’s gonna be my next truck. I have two kids and I don’t really go off-road that much anyway...Ridgeline HDP is the way to go
Everyone I know (maybe 4 people?) That has a Ridgeline loves it - echo a lot of your comments (jsut works so well in MOST situations). Really love the RL in White but worried about rear legroom for kids getting older. Maybe I'm overthinking it...
Hi Riyad, I'm 6'1 and love the head and leg room space in the back. My daughter and wife insist on the front. HWHL :)
Did you have to lift the truck to install the bigger tires, I plan to get a 2021 and would like to do that.
I put on a 1.5" leveling kit but not necessary. Ridgelines don't like big wheels or tires. Best thing is to just get tires that are more agrresive looking.
@@DriversOnly thanks for responding!
Great video! Watched it all the way thru. 17.4 MPG in the Ridgeline is a bit poor IMO. I get the same MPG in a V8 F150 supercrew 4x4. I'm a spirited driver.
18mpg on the V8 ford 4x4 is best case scenario on stock tires running on 2WD. He has more aggressive tread tires and awd.
I'm getting 22.6mpg average in my 2022 Ridgeline since buying it.
What vehicle did you you get after the Ridgeline???????
If it occurred, how did it perform driving over black ice?
How much money did it cost for 3 years lease?
I used to sell Hondas and I would keep golf clubs in my trunk of my car to show people that they could fit under the back seat of the Ridgeline. Because people wouldn't believe me.
I like Ridgeline, I have looked for good used one , Very Hard to find, I'm still looking...
I don't even see the point of getting a regular sedan when pick up trucks like this exist. It doesn't look rough, far more practical, more ground clearance, versatility.
Nice vid. I'm seriously considering the redesigned Ridgeline. If I don't get that, I'll prob get a new 4runner.
Thanks. Yes the 2021 ridgeline looks pretty darn good.
I'm pretty sold with the new design too. I like it looks more.lkke a truck & it's a Honda
Homosexuals made the old design
4runner is a champ, just sluggish and eats gas but a solid ass truck
As always, that choice will depend heavily on your needs and desires. If you aren't into heavy off-roading and not doing heavy hauling, the Ridggie will do you one fine job.
Love these Ridgelines…looked at Tacomas but like the Honda built quality a bit more (after seeing used models. Wasn’t sure if Type~R wheels would fit and fell for the black HPD wheels instead. Thanks!
Cant go wrong with both Honda and Toyota reliability
Winter tires are 10x better in snow/ice than AT tires. Including on trucks (any vehicle)
Nice overview. Mileage is a bit lower than I'd expect, that's squarely full size territory. In fact it's less than my lifetime average in my F-150 4x4 crew, also mostly city and through two Minnesota winters.
Really? I had a tundra that avg around 12-13 mpg just with city driving.
@@DriversOnly Well driving conditions and habits vary I'm sure, but my 2006 5.4 F-150 was about 13-14 and the Tundra is still essentially a 2007 truck so that sounds about right. With my 2018 2.7 I'm getting right about what others on Fuelly are getting with theirs, which is similar to what the Ram 3.6 and GM 2.7 get as well. Need to keep it under 60 to get the EPA highway mileage, which is about never for me, but city has been better than I expected. 19-20 city is typical in the summer, winter drops 2-3 MPG. Of course when you get the turbos spooled up mileage goes to hell, lol, but it is sure fun.
How was the maintenance? Any repairs out of the ordinary..??
A car enthusiast would not keep his/her car so dirty 🤨
If the seat material is the same as in my '07 RL be sure and Scotchgard it because it stains easily.
For sale: Honda Ridgeline off-lease. Comes with puke smell and gum stuck under seats.
I'm on my 2nd Ridgeline. I love the ride and somewhat decent fuel economy but the accessories suck. No keyless entry, navi stinks. bluetooth is dumb, door opening is too short. I don't know if the new ones resolved this.
I have a Canadian Version of the 2018 Ridgeline sport. Absolutely love it. I got it brand new May of 2018 now has been 2 and a half years I have put 138000kms. The only issue I have had which was a big out was the transmission. Just before 120000kms my RPMs started doing hard shifts and bouncing up amd down when staying at a constant speed. Had no idea what had caused it since I dont drive hard or pull anything. Honda ended up replacing the entire trnasmission for free under warranty. Now I pretty much have a brand new truck agian. I going to drive her until she dies but wheb she will I will be upgraded to what ever generation Ridgeline is out at the point hopefully I can get another 10 years. I have the sports grille with the carbon fiber and honeycomb pattern no chrome I like the front end of mine. Dont need to upgrade just for a changed front end. Also I clean my truck out atleast once every couple weeks wipe her all down and give a good vaccum. You should try it sometime.
Nov. 11th will be my 15th year of ownership of my 2006 RTL. After 15 years and 250,000+ miles I will be trading it in for a 2021 Ridgeline. Truck doesn't one me a penny. Besides the usual, tires, oil changes, etc., the only things I had to replace were the alternator and radiator. I won't even consider another mid sized truck.
Congrats! 2021 looks like a bad ass truck with the same goodness inside.
Wait for the next generation.
How does a vehicle get so dirty?
Cleanliness is next to godliness. Ponder that😂
Laziness is next to godliness.
