Ummm.. a Polly Pocket playset without Polly? Yep! There's actually quite a few! This is a bit of an interesting one, though - as it's an attempted look into Japanese culture. I'll let Japanese folks decide if it's accurate or not. Come along for the tea ceremony, stay for the fish ponds!

Yes those are Lion-dogs, Komainu is what they are known as in Japan. As for the "merry go round" it's most likely a gravel or sand sculpture

Thank you for mentioning about the cultural part! I just wish Suki doesn't do that hand together pose thing as Japanese don't really do that, except when praying. The hand pose is more of a Thai style XD

I just bought this without the figures because someone was selling it cheap and it’s so pretty. It’s obviously dated but like you said, hasn’t aged as badly as it could have. I think the carousel is like a walk around the garden. Now to find the figures without bankrupting myself lol
