      In my opinion, such a large sum could have been spent for making homes for the homeless, public toilets and various other basic amenities. Rihanna and Justin Bieber are already rich. Wasting money on such vulgur performances can never be pardoned by the poor slum dwellers in the Ambani abode

    Most Hindus spend 20 to 40% of their life savings on their children's weddings, because Marriage is a one time event and considered as the start of a new life. Also hindu weddings are not 1 day event, it takes days, there are many rituals and ceremonies that needs to be done. Hence the expenses are even more. Ambani didn't even spend 0.5% of his savings. Should we call him a bad father?

    To be frank...due to this marriage many people got work from making food decorating funtion hall. Many drivers got renumaration...electrric department.. hotel business... crores of money must have spent for all this .. beautician..gold shops .. dressing...what not so many people benefited.

    People are never happy when you are happy. From this narration, this young guy battled with s lot of childhood illnesses. Its only fair for them to celebrate lifes gifts of marriage for him. His family can help when they can but cant carry the entire countries problems. They even provided free food at their wedding.

Marry in court or in temple/gurudwara with only close family members and donate all the rest of your budget to beggars and poor people.       Ambani did bhandara ( free for all food ) for one and half month and arranged 50 other weddings for underprivileged ahead of this wedding as part of the celebration. So he didn't forget to involve the local community at large. However even middle class spends money on weddings if they can. Some even if they cannot and have to take loan- that's stupid show off.

    The whole engagement and wedding going on close to a year must have been so terribly exhausting for all the workers, event planners, employees , participants, the families etc. I can't even imagine how it was planned out and the amount of time spent on planning to perfection etc. Just to plan for Christmas itself is stressful and exhausting. 😅

      It's called work and employment opportunity for the workers and performers. Also it's not like every day was an event. Even ordinary Indian families have multiple wedding rituals and it's not a short affair. We just invite people of our own status.
      But they did arrange 50 more lavish weddings for underprivileged girls during this time as part of their own son's wedding celebration and gifted them some gold jewellery for the occasion. Those girls and their families would be thankful.

    Poverty is a choice now a days with buzzing Indian 🇮🇳 economy. People keep on multiplying and choose to remain homeless and jobless in India. 🇮🇳 I myself offered 14000 to a family of two and home 🏠 and asked them to look after my newly built home in the three tier town but people refused to work. That’s why the poverty is the choice in today’s India 🇮🇳

      But I also understand you well. As I offered often jobs to people. Just to see, they did not turn up, or came very late to work, etc. No discipline. A major issue in India. Corruption as well.
