He is wrong regarding Pashtuns demanding Pashto to become their formal language. Political recognition and independence come first and language primacy second, it has never in history been the case where a language reaches primacy first and then self rule and autonomy. When a group of people obtain self rule and independence, their language gets the resources and space to flourish.
