Did I find the video helpful?? Heck yes I did!! This is exactly what I was looking for. I have been looking everywhere for the correct method, explanation and application of how to plant seedlings. Bravo.
Glad to hear you found it helpful, thanks for watching!
The push down, then pull up tip to avoid j rooting is often overlooked. Great video, thanks.
I appreciate that! I only know all this because I'm good at doing things the wrong way first ;)
Super video Sam! You wasted no time diving right into this one… the editing was spot on! Crazy how simple the process is but I learned something the entire way!! Some of these videos are really gonna do well for ya!!
Thanks a ton brother! I appreciate all the help over the years!
Would love to see a video on how you go about selecting and extracting saplings to transplant
That's a idea, I can do a project like that this spring! Thanks for commenting
Do you water your new trees, or ever use root gel? I’ve been planting using a 3” drill auger on my hand drill. We’ve had some droughts the last few summers and I’ve lost probably 50% I’ve considered changing my planting time to September.
I don't water. I plant 1000s so I play the numbers game more with trees. I firmly believe the best watering you can do is kill all the grass competition around the trees. Grass is a sponge and robs a ton of moisture from trees. I haven't used rooting gel with rooted trees. I have when I've planted cuttings but to be honest there wasn't much of a difference when doing a side by side comparison. It maybe helped a little
What do you use for grass control
Clethodim mixed with crop oil
