    Mutagen Man also appears in the new Nick cartoon and IMO, he looks far more terrifying and it's even more disturbing when you learn he was kid who got mutated like that because he wanted to be just like the turtles. Some of the designs in the new TMNT are downright Nightmarish...I love it!

  • @CyricZ
    @CyricZ Před 10 lety +27

    Seriously, WayForward needs to get their butts on a TMNT beat-em-up. It doesn't necessarily have to be a remake of either of the arcade games, although that'd be fine, but still. They could just use the friggin' DDN engine.

    • @GabrielAKAFinn
      @GabrielAKAFinn Před 10 lety +9

      WayFoward and Platinum, they can make whatever the fuck they want, I'mma buy it!

    • @BlitzFatty
      @BlitzFatty Před 10 lety

      ***** If Platinum did an Anarchy Reigns-style beat'em up with Turtles, it'd be alright (improved mechanics and single player), but I would rather see WayForward do it, since DDN was definitely something.

    • @BlitzFatty
      @BlitzFatty Před 10 lety

      Mal Nexus Makes sense. I'd rather see that than a Platinum beat'em up. If Legend of Korra sells well, maybe. I mean, I can't remember who it was (Atsushi Koorka, maybe?) at Platinum, but during the IGN stream of the game it was stated that they'd be willing to adapt properties "if our fans demanded it enough." Now, those of us who have been paying attention to the industry for any length of time know that won't work well. Especially since they've essentially stated they aren't working on a Kill la Kill game because fans bugged them too much (I don't blame Platinum's decision here).
      Still, just maybe...

    • @Bleeperblopper497
      @Bleeperblopper497 Před 10 lety

      ***** in the demo showing of the korra game, one of the ign guys asked if they could make a power rangers game and they say if people want it more enough, they will consider making it

    Baxter Stockman from the 2003 cartoon was super fucking awesome. That cartoon was actually surprisingly brutal, with every major failure he got punished by losing body parts, usually done by Hun who was ordered to by Shredder. At first he has his left eye removed. Then he got put in a wheel chair, needed a neck brace, and had his right hand cut off. After all this shit Baxter wants to get back at the Shredder and Hun by using some super advanced exo suit, which later explodes with him still inside it. Yet he still manages to live, he becomes a head in a jar that is affixed to the back of a small metal spider. His final state leaves him as a brain, attached to an eyeball and his spinal column.

    Aw man, every time I watch a Turtle Week video, I can't help but to look back on a PS2 "Hack n' Slash" type of game. The game was so goddamn good to me, each character had their own difficulty, somewhat different stories, etc. Some even got their own boss battles, or someone would have this boss at this stage of he game, and another at this stage of the game. There was even a versus mode, where you unlock different characters through each story. I put my heart and soul into getting everything for that game, but just when I finally got 100%, I was never able to reap the rewards, as my PS2 stopped working... I'd give anything to play that game again.

    Remember that time in the 2003 TMNT series when Baxter was able to make a clone of himself and transferred his mind into it and became human again, only to have his new body start to decay and fall apart through the episode, which was then followed by his brain and he started having flashbacks of himself as a kid living with his mom and thought April was his mom and the Turtles were trying to hurt her, so he fought the turtles and got his jaw literally kicked off by April and died after falling off a cable car into the ocean?

    FYI Shadow Raiders ended with the main protagonists teleporting the Beast Planet "elsewhere", using the Prison Planet engines. So they escaped it.. Only for the Beast Planet to be set on another planet instead in the final scene.

    34:40-ish i remember that episode. Zim creates a time portal and throws pigs into it, which sends them to random points of Dibb's past in hopes of creating a traumatic experience that will prevent him from coming after Zim (Gir's head explodes upon pondering on the logic applied here). Thing is, every time Zim sends a pig back, the accident cripples Dibb in some way and his father gives him robot parts to replace his human parts. The scene Woolie describes is one in wich Dibb has basically turned into a giant fucking mech and Zim in his despair, just throws pigs into the portal screaming something like "I have to find a point in history in which he's vulnerable to pigs!" every pig thrown just makes Mecha-Dibb get even more ludicrous Rob Liefeld-style weapons added to him... man, Invader Zim was great.

    They mentioned show making references to stuff no kid would know like Reboot. I think creators did this back in the day as something for adult viewers to get because sometimes parents (cool ones at least) will watch shows with their children. Sometimes they put references for the kids themselves who might rewatch the show and be all hype that their kid's show had some hidden jokes in them. Also Krang's exo-suit totally has Mazinger Z's Jet Scrander. There's a reference for you right there.

    Ugh. I hate to be that guy but my OCD needs to be sated - Flamberges were actually very useful in warframe, especially since they were often used by Doppelknechts (mercenaries using two-handed swords and receiving double pay for their skill). They were surprisingly light for their size (around 2 to 4 kg) and the wavy edge wrecked unarmored flesh like crazy because it could be used as a saw and didn't get stuck on bones, and provided better durability. The tip was also narrower than most swords and was used to pierce armor with a stabbing attack, It was one of the most popular weapon of German and Swiss mercenaries in the XVI century.

    8:41 - Man, I remember the dodge/parry system "Final Fight: Streetwise" fight Pat and Matt had, it was one of the first LPs I saw of them and at that moment I really thought that Pat would get up from his chair and punch Matt or something, they were REALLY having at each other at that time, it was really scary for us kids to see mama Pat and papa Matt fight.

    I actually had the Mutagen Man, he was fucking awesome. And, just to add to the "My Parents Loved Me" bit, I had the Turtle Van AND the fucking Blimp! I remember being so disappointed that the blimp didn't actually fly though.

    Actually,Neon Night-Riders was in the original arcade game. It's just it was a side-scrolling "hover board" level like the one with the pizza xenomorphs. The SNES version was altered to show off the "mode 7". It didn't really effect game play,tho. And at the end,with the fight with Krang,it goes back to the original way it was.
    And,from memory:
    It's time to play the game.
    It's time to play the gaaaaaame!
    It's all about the game,and how you play it.
    It's all about control and if you can take it.
    It's all about your debt and if you can pay it.
    It's all about the pain and who's gonna make it.
    I am the game,you don't wanna play me.
    I am control,no way you can shake me.
    I am heavy debt,no way you can pay me.
    I am the pain and I know you can't take me.
    Look over your shoulder,ready to run.
    Like a burning pitch from a smoking gun.
    I am the game and I make the rules.
    So move on out so you can die like a fool.
    Tryin' to figure out what my move's gonna be.
    Come on over here,sucker,why don't you ask me.
    Never forget that the price you can pay,
    is I am the game and I want to play.
    I'm working on getting Baby Got Back too.
    Actually,in the arcade version,Shredder was louder,angrier,and had access to time travel. So,yeah,they toned him down for the home version. However the green fireball he shoots is a one hit kill. It demutates the turtles. Also,you had it on Easy. :p
