Thank you for putting out the 1st video on this model that I could find. I bought one yesterday and can’t wait to pick it up next week. The 4.5” threaded barrel solves every issue I had with the original Copperhead, and that trigger is just the cherry on top!! Enjoy it, and thanks again for the video.
Thanks! You’re going to love it!
But he’s saying it’s a retarded thread pitch
Just bought one today! Ordered a bunch of goodies to go along with it. Thx for the great video on it!
You’re gonna love it!
what kind of goodies
What have you added? Looking for good ideas for mine.
Nice review. I found one of these at my local gun shop a few weeks ago and I really couldn’t find any video’s out there on it. Lots of mpx’s, mpx k and regular copperheads but not the K model. I thought I might have to pick one up just to get a somewhat formative review out there but you beat me to it and I am glad.
Thanks!
Very nice pcc pistol. Great review my friend. ❤
Thank you!
Went to change out my grip and found an extra spring set into the handle behind the safety so most grips need a small hole transfered to except the new grip
Interesting, I haven’t taken mine off yet. Was it just an extra set for the original grip or does their grip require an extra spring?
@@DanosMac not a hundred percent sure it appeared to have something at the bottom of the hole but I couldn't recognize it
I did swap it for a magpul grip and I was easily able to duplicate the hole on the new grip just by looking closely and gently drilling, I am not sure you would even have to because it only goes in on the handle side maybe 3/16 or an 1/8 in deep
Thanks for info! I’m gonna take it apart when I have time to check this out
Sounds pretty sweet! Great video 👍
Sig Sauer, can you make a 5.7 x 28 caliber on the same frame (???) That would be awesome!!!! Sig Sauer MPX 5.7 x 28 Assault-Pistol!!!
Had to put my volume to 100 to hear you! but great video.
I can’t afford a better mic. Sorry man lol
Thanks!
I’ve been really thinking about getting a copperhead. At first I was looking at the 3.5 FDE cause it looks so good but now I’m thinking the K version would be much better specially for my can.
Get both!
Have you found? I can’t find anywhere … copperheads abound but not a K in site
so between you and me: a year or so in, where you've learned more about the MPX Copperhead and other versions, would you still pick this version over those with the swappable handguard? also the latest version of this one doesn't have these channels for the brace/stock anymore...16:57
I’ve since removed my brace to make this pistol compliant. I honestly would still get the same model. I feel like the extra moving parts are just more things that can break. Also this makes it a thinner profile as well. But to each their own!
@@DanosMac yea i think each has its pluses. But, ultimately if I'm not swapping the barrel out (and considering the prices, it's not likely), i think the copperhead is the better option for the reason you stated. Problem is, most i find no longer have the brace channels like yours which i would prefer.
Also if you still have your brace, youre allowed to put them back on (for now)...
Nice video. Is there an m-lok mount on the bottom 12 o’clock on the rail.
Going to shoot PCC and I want to make this works. Thanks
Yes, there’s a M-Lok slot at the bottom of the rail behind that tiny finger stop. The slot is about the length as the side ones. Hope this helps!
Good video. Thanks. Do you still have it? Has it given you any problems?
No problems at all!
Do you know the part number for that brace that fits??
Called out people for saying sig soyer in the same video that you pronounce ambidextrous ambidextreeous... just bustin your balls..I bought the same gun a couple months ago..havent shot it yet but cant wait
Hahaha thanks. I haven’t taken mine out yet to get zeroed yet. This thing shoots very flat. You’ll love it
I could have bought either the Sig MPX K or the copperhead K for roughly the same price and I went for the copperhead because the monolithic upper just seems more robust and I watched a review on gunthots CZcams channel and the handguard on the MPX K came loose in the course of the review so that made up my mind I was going with the copperhead k
Yeah Good choice!
I bought one this week and am curious how hard it will be to change out the muzzle break?
It shouldn’t be hard to change out. You need to remove the upper and remove the bolts holding the barrel to the upper. Remember the muzzle is a LH M 13.5x1 MM. you might need a vice block to hold it barrel still.
I just changed mine to a tri lug adapter for a suppressor yesterday. The bird cage was on very tight. You have to remove the barrel and use a vise to hold it in place. Make sure to use padded vise jaws because you’ll need to really tighten it so it don’t spin on you. Like @DanosMac said the threads are left handed so you’ll have to turn right to loosen.
So, is this in fact the newest version of the mpx? Or with it be the mpx k (non copperhead)?
I believe the newest version is the one with the removable hand guard that’s a little thicker up front
Does it accept any generation Mpx magazines?
I’m not fully sure on this
Thank you for the video i have been trying to find the model PMPX-4B-9 it’s has the larger hand guard. Can’t find anywhere. On their site it is the mpx k. Not copperhead. Has that been discontinued? There are copperheads everywhere but not that one. I want to run suppressed
They’re supposed to be multi caliber aren’t they??? With changes of course.
Hmm, I’m not sure. The HK MP5 platform only stayed in 9mm I think. Possibly the same for Sig? I do see like a 22LR conversion kit coming out eventually but I don’t know about .40 or .45 for this lol
@@DanosMac
Mine has on it “Multi-cal.
I totally forgot mine says that too. Lol I guess they’re gonna come out with it eventually
Sig advertised it as multi caliber but have never made any more calibers for it. So if you want another caliber don’t hold your breath. The MP5 can be purchased in a .40 cal but are hard to find.
what is the height on that red dot mount?
It’s an absolute co-witness 1.42”
Does the MPX come in 45acp, really would like to know....
9mm only
