We love visiting sites less known that are off the beaten path. Thank you digging deep to film these locations.

I've never been to San José Mogote, it's awesome to think that was one of the most ancient sites of sedentary life in Mesoamerica. Probably vegetables were domesticated there! Sadly, it's in complete abandonment from the authorities. This site should qualify as Oaxacan national monument! I remember hearing, "don't go there it's a small site with nothing to see".

It even has spray painted graffiti on some stones at the top which is very sad. It is a national monument already, but sadly it is not maintained.

Vaya es triste ver tanta indiferencia de las autoridades encargadas de resguardar y cuidar el patrimonio cultural del país. San José Mogote...debería al menos estar con mantenimiento de conservación.

Yes, there are some sites that that are really neglected and unfortunately this is one of them. My camera was turned the wrong way when I tried to record it but there is even graffiti at the top of the pyramid. However, there are so many sites that it boggles the mind. How is it possible to preserve them all?

5:19 at times, some of the artifacts that I collect here in the eastern woodlands attract ants, add an unprecedented rate… Much more than even sugar.. they are attracted to some of these ancient artifacts… It looks like some thing I’ve seen before.

Maybe! Definitely lots of artifacts there, but the amount of ants in any random patch of desert would surprise you

Incredible structure. I didn't see any official signage from INAH! Mexico has so many pyramids that even the government doesn't know where they all are!

I found XIOL in an industrial suburb of Merida (Kanasin if I remember right). Been there all this time..... In between factories and warehouses. Unbelievable.
