We do not have a large Hispanic/ Mexican store like this one that you were in. There is nothing like finding products that are new to you and incorporating them into your meals. So Fun.
I miss shopping there, when I lived in Vegas I shopped there all the time... I love the lil cantina inside the store, food is 🔥🔥... Bunuelos are my favorite & their Ceviche is the best... Thank you for going there & bringing me dwn memory lane... Much luv from Colorado ❤️

I live in a 'food city,' and I have recently taken up exploring all the cultural markets. I've gone through Persian, Korean, Indian, African, and Russian. It's been so much fun, especially tasting the prepared foods and picking up new spices. We have a huge Mexican population, so growing up, I have spent a lot of time in Mexican markets, so they weren't on my list of 'new' places to explore, but I love them. Always super colorful atmosphere and super friendly people and GREAT food!
Love the marinated chicken. I usually buy a whole 40lb. Box when it's on sale. Divide flat into 2lb. Freezer ziplock stack up in freezer. Will last us a few months. Yummy,! 😋
i love making street tacos with their fresh corn tortillas from the back corner of the store ! so much so that i don't even like the typical brands like mission or guerrero anymore . i also go there for their pan dulce .

The item you're holding on 14:30 is a tortilla press for home made tortillas. Basically you grab a small ball of masa (or corn flour dough), put two small plastic sheets on it, put the ball of masa in between them, and then you press it with the handle. The ball of masa will be flat and round and you remove them from the plastic sheets before you put it carefully into a warm comal (a type of griddle) to warm them up on both sides. Then you'll have a freshly made tortilla.

Shrimp powder we usually cook it with some eggs make some tortitas fried them ,make a chile red salsa and you add the cut nopales cook everything together with beans on a side. Is a delicious dish.

Cardeñas is king!!! I adore this market. Eating dinner at the Cocina hot case. My favorite locations in Fontana. So Cal thing. No locations in the Mid West🥹. Thanks for the memories.
Love the walk thru hun. Cardenas isn't the only store like that there is also a store named Vallerta that is like that as will. As for the wooden device at the end of the video is for flatten corn tortillas it doesn't work to good for flour ones tho...they also make it in a metal round device as will...that's what I have they are pretty neat.

Oh hell! Killing me...the upside-down pineapple cake& carrot cake. I ❤️ Mexican food, but can't eat it much now. I use to use the heck outta some cilantro in my homeade salsa& soup. 😂 My g-ma couldn't see how I ate it. She hates cilantro. I had a chance to try some tongue tacos made by a Mexican lady my ex knew, but couldn't get past my tongue tasting tongue that use to taste.

Really enjoyed this! I lived in the Chicago area for 30 years and always loved our Mexican markets. Brought back some very happy memories. We don't have them in the Cleveland OH suburb I live in now. I used to get a lot of my produce there. They had a huge selection at great prices. Also liked a lot of the meats and cheeses.

The minute you walked in and said I'm coming in here to make Elote I was super attentive!. I sooo wish I had a store like that here in Florida. The cool Mexican kitchen items were so pretty. I know you're in Cali but we have one here also. I was surprised to see how much food they have and everything looks so amazing. I saw 7 up cake the other day and I had forgotten all about that cake. My youngest son loves pineapple upside down but I always made it for him. I may take a trip over there one day. I want to see if it still is as nice as yours. Last time I was there it was before pandemic. I don't even know what I went there to get. Nice store and thanks for the walk-thru. Really enjoyed it.

I've had the Chef Woo Ramen Express noodles. They are so good. The noodle texture is better than most ramen noodles; the broth tastes delicious. Usually, I throw out the "soup" packets, but I drink the broth of the Chef Woo ones.
