Nintendo should reconsider the idea of Mario and Peach getting Married. This could lead to Peach no longer being kidnapped and going on adventures with him. One idea I have is Mario and Peach having kids and there could be a Yoshi’s Island type game where Yoshi works with their kids to save their parents, or Mario and Peach embarking on a quest to save their kids
I don't really understand why they refused to let them get married. Is it because Bowser would no longer be interested in kidnapping her ? Because IMO, that's dumb he is a villain, and he is already committing a crime. Why would her being married change anything? He's evil and would continue to kidnap her despite her marital status Is it because they don't want to make Mario a prince/ king ? Again, I don't think that changes the general structure that Mario games usually have. The only difference would be that now he lives in the castle. But Mario would still be Mario. We have seen him take many different occupations, and he is still Mario him becoming royalty wouldn't change him. And I cant think of a way that this would significantly change Peach as a character. Again I don't understand the fewr from Nintendo. If those two reasons I gave are a really a big concern for them. Then, a simple solution would be to just make Odyssey the last Mario game canonically. They don't have to make an official timeline. Just say that Odyssey would be the last one, and the next game, they go back to status quo.

I suppose this could be interesting, but recently I’ve being trying to get out of romance and shipping characters. It’s already something I struggled with in real life, so it’s very unhealthy to let it become an obsession.
With Mareach being my favorite shipping ever, the ending of Odyssey really made me mad. While I understand that Nintendo probably wants things to remain consistent, I agree with you that things probably wouldn't change much. However, I disagree on the idea that Bowser would be less motivated. I think Mario and Peach getting married would make him even more motivated. Like you said, they're very competitive. Because Bowser has no respect for Mario, I think the Koopa King would try even harder to take Peach away from him and get rid of him just to prove a point. I even imagine Bowser kidnapping both of them (if he can catch Mario) and putting them in separate cages--just far enough away from each other so that they can't even reach through the bars to hold hands--to rub in their faces that he wants them to not be together. I also think that Mario would actually enjoy being a prince, because I don't think things would change all that much for him. After all, being a prince means he can do whatever he wants. If he wants to go on an adventure, I don't see anything stopping him. Even in Skyward Sword where the Director literally admitted that they put romance in the game to help people feel more connected to both Link and Zelda, didn't show them getting married. And in tears of the Kingdom where Link and Zelda literally live together, they leave no trace of romance in their dialogue or even clues that they're married or together. They'll leave hints and give more evidence of their romance in spin offs but hate admitting it half the time. The evidence is everywhere that confirms Mario and Peach's relationship yet they made it so Peach couldn't marry Mario for some reason. They get married in Smash Ultimate, they kiss eachother on the lips on the 3DS ai card app, they spend time exclusively together all the time, Peach has exclusively kissed Mario and nobody else in certian games, She is so happy to see Mario that she doesn't even know Luigi is in her way as Mario and her hold hands and she ends up being held bridel style even though Peach saved him in Super Princess Peach. There's so much evidence to support it and there's way more than what I said but Nintendo decided nope, we can't make this canon becasue they like to leave it for the player to speculate and figure out. Truth is, it's cus Nintendo doesn't like changing the dynamic for their characters. Even with Link and Zelda even though every game has a new one, they can't admit at least one of the interations of those characters is together so why would they do it to their never changing star franchise?

It wouldn't have changed at all, Mario will still be able to go on adventures except this time it will be alongside Peach in "power couple" mode.

Prince Haru will never be canonized, he is far too hated a character, and Mario and Peach are too close for such a character to be present.
