Just a simple phrase of "Ang sarap ng buhay sa Pinas." makes me cry due to what's happening in our country. My heart goes to farmers, fisherfolk, blue-collar workers, kids who have to work to afford education, parents who have an empty stomach just so they can give their food to their kids, the rights of Indigenous People, and every Filipino people in the marginalized sector. I pray and hope they these politicians who will win this election will turn out to be for the people and by the people. I pray and hope for good governance because that is what we need especially with health, economic, and environmental crisis that the world is facing.
Ikr. I feel extremely anxious because of what lies ahead of all of us rn. I'm hoping that history won't repeat itself. I'm afraid of a future where the poor becomes poorer, the rich richer, the marginalized completely ignored and the educated silenced. Sana talaga, balang araw, masabi na ng bawat Pilipino - hanggang sa kalaylay-laylayan ng lipunan - na masarap mabuhay sa Pinas.

Some people here are saying that we're just leaving toxic comments in this channel. I believe naman na it is not toxic and it will never be wrong to voice our disappointment, when we are too close to having a too good to be true leader đž yet many Filipinos still opted for someone who is a complete opposite. More importantly, this is Jessica Lee's channel that is why we are all the more comfortable to speak up. She is as open-minded and intellectual as I know that she is. I know that she knows her facts and history, proven by how several of her videos feature societal issues and history of the Philippines.

courses for fashion, and you can choose not just clothing fashion, but i believe they have courses if you want to specialize in fashion accessories or bag design instead.đ just... for options.đ take care!

Of all your vlogs so far, I really find this one so chill. Like it's so calming. Maybe because I was so used seeing your vlogs in Korea that is highly influenced by the ëčšëŠŹëčšëŠŹ culture, and your previous PH vlogs were kinda chaotic as you have so much content and things happening in those short 3 months..
But now, seeing this slow-paced and very at ease atmosphere you're having makes me calm too.. đ€
You are also the reason why I observe if the potato corner outlet I'm buying from is doing it right, most don't, they shake it for like 3 seconds so the seasonings are not evenly distributed.

Was that at nuvali? We were there Jessica. We were part of the 225,000 strong Filipinos who stood up for our country that day, that night. It was to show support for our Vice President who ran for presidency. Sadly, the Filipinos have never learned their lesson. The son of the late dictator without degree and with pending legal cases has so far leads the election. He won over a lawyer and an economist with clean records of service and has even received several recognition for her good governance. This is a huge disrespect towards the families and victims of the Martial Law who haven't even received a single apology from them. Plus the result is still quite sketchy. Our fight is not yet over. It's super funny that you encountered a rally here. When I was in Seoul in 2019, I encountered a rally there. The buses were super delayed that we had to change our destination to something else. (I didn't know what the rally was about, though, but it looks to be political.)

Soon we may find, that there would be no more jobs for a lot of Filipinos. In fact, I'm jobless for 2 yrs now. I worked in the travel industry, so we were hardly hit by the pandemic. I seriously don't know if I ever find a job again considering the current situation. To top it off, we're facing a very high inflation. Well, as Filipinos always say, be positive, learn to bear with it, the struggles etc. and smile, laugh like there's no tomorrow.
