    Hey man, I am the designer of this quest. You nailed 90% of the clues. But you went the wrong way from the fisherman and missed the ribs of behemoth. Nevertheless you found the place which proves that His ways are truly mysterious ;)

    • @SequentialGamer_KCD
      @SequentialGamer_KCD  Před 3 lety +57

      Well, look at that, I'm being told off by the quest designer. I'll now have to take down the video, my channel, and commit Sudoku in abject shame :D.
      Thanks for clarifying that! I never actually realized that you had to go all the way around the lake. It's no wonder I never found those ribs of the leviathan. I took the "two bridges" as a way to warn the player that they'd gone too far.
      I have to say that I really liked the way this quest (and the executioner's quest) both asked the player to think and interpret clues. And I almost fell out of my seat when I first saw the lines that Hanush has if you confirm the heresy, when I first tried it I thought that there would be NO WAY that he'd have any lines because of how far you'd have to go to see them. I appreciate that you took the time to add them despite the extremely low probability that anybody would see them. Just a very interesting quest overall and I really liked it.

      You're welcome! I usually got the Bauers to flee and then reported the final outcome to Hanush. I never imagined that Hanush could possibly have so many lines and when I was first riding to him I thought it was going to be a waste of time, but it really floored me to find those.

    I usually go with the last option: convince the Bauers to leave, then go do another quest and come back in a few days to tell the Vicar, give the Bauers a good head start. It doesn't always work though (sometimes you get a pop-up later in the game that tells you that the Bauers were captured).

    Thank you so much for putting this video together. I had no idea about hidden options with Sir Hannush and it's nice to watch all the dialogues.
    As for the quest itself, It was really nice to follow the clues from the book and have a satisfaction from finding the praying spot without a map marker. Although probably all of us had the suprising encounter with the cumans :)
    On the other hand I was little disappointed that after convincing Bauers to flee they went back to sleep and didn't leave the house even after more than a day.
    Some minor fun facts about Bauers I found during the quest:
    1. You can talk to Bauers even during the night - you can lockpick the front door and talk to them during their sleep and they won't call the guard or ignore you.
    2. If you go to sleep in Mrs Bauer's bed when she's not there, she will wake you up, but even though the bed will no longer be occupied, she will go to sleep upstairs at the hideout until the moment she feels like cleaning herself off.

    Love your content. Btw, about putting of the main story, that you recommend... ever thought of this:... going back to either Ushitz using Pie (the horse that bolted) or the roan (at your service my lady) for other side quests? It takes quit a lot of time moving across the landscape on foot. And you don't get your horse untill later in the main story.

    • @SequentialGamer_KCD
      @SequentialGamer_KCD  Před 3 lety +2

      Those two horses are options too. But you can also buy a very cheap horse at Uzhitz for 500 groshen if you really want to.
      The reason I run around though is that it's great for improving Vitality, which is pretty important, and once you get a horse there's fewer things that you can do to improve it. It also makes sense from an roleplaying perspective because having a horse back then meant you were of some wealth, that's why getting Pebbles is such a big deal. So for a peasant it makes more sense to run :D

    • @BaltasarVespuchi
      @BaltasarVespuchi Před 3 lety +2

      @@SequentialGamer_KCD You have point :) But I think loaning Pie, for selfish interests and then returning him kind of makes sense from a role playing perspective. A peasant wouldn't afford his own horse, like you say. So at least for the longest Journeys, that could be a smart idea ;) The journey from Rattay to Skalitz is so long that it might not even be worth doing without a horse, speaking from a realistic point of view.

      @@SequentialGamer_KCD If you have stolen armor from Talmberg in order to get past radim and escape, it also makes sense that you would go back there and return it. It would have been cool, if Warhorse created a side quest that gave you higher reputation for doing so.

      @mitchellanderson3960 Před rokem

      There are also 3 horses at bandit camps (1 between Rattay and Neuhof, 1 between Rattay and Sasau and 1 on the silver mines by Skalitz). I just steal 1 early on (nothing like a low level Henry trying to sneak around bandits as a horse thief). They do disappear after awhile, but can get you by until you get Pebbles and if you stay (do not get off when Capon does) on your horse during the Capon hunt (which you get Pebbles as a reward), you get a different cutscene when Capon chases the boar.
