Because young folks these days are allergic to fun? Just a guess.
Music isn't "good" like this anymore because the punk scene is dead. TIm still plays music and Jesse is still active in the scene but kids younger than 25 or so just weren't exposed to this scene. I am 31 and grew up at the tail end of the punk and hardcore scene having its second wind. Gilman Street used to be poppin' HARD in early 2000's. Then influential people in the scene passed away. I'm blessed to have the friends I did to expose me to this culture.
I just listened to the 2nd verse to figure out how he fit all those words into the lyrics... oh.
