  • Travel Agents from Canada and US attending CLIA 2017 Two Certificates in Montreal July 21-23 had a chance to do a site inspection of this beautiful ship.
    MS Maasdam is a Holland America cruise ship named after the Maas River in the Netherlands. Owned by Carnival Corporation and operate by Holland America Line. Port of registry is Rotterdam, Netherland.
    The ship was ordered in 1989 for US$180 million. Completed in 1993. Weight 55,575 ton, 721.78 ft length, 131.20 ft hight, 151.50 ft wide.
    This ship has 10 decks in total, capacity of 1,258 passengers. Two-tiered dining room, and atrium with glass sculpture. The ship also features an expansive art collection.
    The Maasdam has received SOEP1 which included Pinnacle Grill specialty restaurant (available for an extra charge),[9] the Neptune Lounge (for suite guests), the Culinary Arts Center with demonstration kitchen, expanded children’s and teens’ facilities, enhanced stateroom amenities, and improved dining and enrichment offerings and recently received SOEP2 in April 2011 which included Spa Staterooms, Mix, which is a bar type lounge and showroom at Sea (nightclub/lounge).
