That Warmblood is handsome as ever in his winter fluff
percherons are drafts though. Like clydesdales or shires. That‘s also why he‘s built like a tank, has feet like an elephant and super fluffy feathers. Warmbloods can be just as tall though, just not as heavy. I used to ride a 18.1hh holstein gelding. had him rear up in front of me once, when I was leading him and narrowly escaped being decapitated by his monstrosity of a hoof, still nothing like a draft hoof though. 😅

@@tacituskilgore438 had to jump around the horse to escape his flailing front hooves. Only possible direction was pretty much straight into the back end of another horse. As all of them were getting pretty worked up (mainly because of the holstein‘s sudden studly impulse to protect „his“ mare from the other males) I was just hoping I wouldn‘t instead end up with the other horses‘ back feet in my face 😅 fun times. for the next few weeks the holstein would go mad whenever he saw the other gelding even at a distance and would try to run over and bite him, even with a rider on his back. Took a while to make him understand in no uncertain terms that his behavior wasn‘t appreciated 😂 guess he was gelded too late, they do that sometimes with the really big boys, hoping they get some mass on them, because they can get very leggy and gangly otherwise. Stupid though when you end up with an 18hh + crazy stud 😂
