2000 Shaq is the greatest player I ever watched for one season. He was 1 vote from unanimous MVP, 2nd in DPOY, scoring champ, all star MVP and finals MVP. Shaq avg 30/14/4/3 in the regular season, 31/16/3/2 in the playoffs and 38/17/3/2 in the finals. I never seen a player doubled/tripled/quadrupled more. The Diesel at his best was from a different planet.

Bob is one of my favorite players of all time and the nickname "Big Shot Bob" is the best nickname of all time. I would go Duncan, Hakeen, Shaq because of their impact on the rest of the team but at the end of the day, we're talking about 3 of the top 8-10 big men of all time. (All 3 are right there with Russell, Kareem, Wilt, Robinson)

Hakeem EASILY, they all can score 25-30 points per game but only Hakeem led the entire league in rebounds, blocks, only Hakeem won Defensive player of year MULTIPLE TIMES, only Hakeem is top 10 in steals, only Hakeem is top 10 in steals no other big is top 50 in steals.

    Duncan no question.
Hakeem only won because of a 2 year anomaly.
Shaq had the best peak, but couldn’t handle a franchise like Duncan

    • @FuShengAlex
      @FuShengAlex Před rokem +3

Shaq didn't have the best peak.....needed kobe to carry him past his only big man competition in Tim.. And Duncan never faced two teams in b2b series as good as the 85-86 Lakers and Celtics like Hakeem.

That is untrue, The Rockets literally beat Chicago 5 - 1 in the span of 1991 to 1993. So we have already seen the bulls match up terribly against Rockets.
The Micheal Jordan rusty narrative became a myth as soon as the playoffs started. Guys like Horace grant missing from Chicago was a reason for that.
      Jordan 95 Vs Magic: 31.0PPG 6.5REB 3.7AST 48FG%
Jordan 96 Vs Magic: 29.5PPG 5.5REB 4.8AST 52FG% … In 96 They had Dennis Rodman to contain Shaq.
The year before this he (Rodman) was a ticking time bomb. And failed to guard Hakeem even with Godlike defender and MVP Robinson at his side.
      -
And hypothetically Maxwell and Thorpe would be legitimate players to slow down Jordan and pippen. However Olajuwon destroys Cartwright, Grant. And if 96 bulls, Rodman.
Jordan was the GOAT. But he was known for some meltdowns and their were sometimes rumors of him ready to quit in a game 7 in the finals. When against the suns.
Hakeem and the rest of his squad were always *Cool, collected and Clutch* in act now or face elimination Moments. They avoided it over 8 Times in their Championship years.
P.S The rockets also had a remix of the triangle offense as well
      -
I know Jordan is the goat. But basketball is a team game. The top 3 to GOAT center makes his players better by drawing attention. While being a multi DPOY player.
Rockets most likely win this seneario in about 6-7 games.

I agree 100%. Hakeem isn’t close to as good as peak 3 peat Lakers Shaq. But for an overall career I’ll go for Hakeem. It’s a shame Shaq got out of shape or this isn’t even close. People forget Shaq was only 22 years old when he played Hakeem in the finals. In game 1/2/3 combined Shaq avg 29/12/7 and peak Hakeem dropped 32/10/5. Only game Hakeem was better was in game 4. Now drop a peak Shaq in that 1995 finals and it’s game over!! The dream will turn into just a 💦 dream.

3peat Shaq? The same guy that got carried past Portland by Kobe in game 7 at home when LA was about to choke a 3-1 lead. Nobody carried Hakeem with his season on the line during his title years.
The same guy that got outplayed by Tim Duncan in 02? 3peat Shaq beat up on a bunch of 90s leftovers amongst bigs.
Peak Shaq in place of 95 Shaq? Notice how nobody talks about Hakeem being in his 30s in the 95 Finals. Hakeem was 32 in the 95 Finals......Shaq at 32 was riding Dwayne Wade's coattails in Miami and still coming up short.

@@FuShengAlex Kobe was awful in first 5 games of that series on 2000 WCF learn basketball. Shaq had them up 3-1 and dominated in game 5 but Kobe like always put up nothing but bricks!! In game 6 and 7 Portland was tripling Shaq damn near every possession. So Kobe and the role players finally got off. You want a cookie?

@@FuShengAlex Hakeem was 30 and 31 in those two years he won rings he was plenty young lol. Shaq was in his 3rd season he was a child. Shaq was 34 year old going into the 2006 playoffs with Wade so stop lying. Shaq avg 20-10-2-2 in the regular season and 20-10-2-2 in the playoffs. He avg 23-11 in the ECF and was the best player on the floor. Wade had a great finals and Shaq didn’t so it brought his avg down a bit. Shaq avg 38-17-3-3 in the 2000 finals and Kobe avg 15-4-4 so am I suppose to dismiss Kobe contribution? You don’t know basketball
