This is AMAZING. The attention to detail is remarkable; shrubs, trees, grass, railroad ties, gravel, etc. everything.... it is a piece of art.

THE LAYOUT WAS FEATURED IN NOV 2005 CLASSIC TOY TRAINS. ROGER CARP SPENT MANY HOURS TAKING PHOTOGRAPHS FOR THAT ARTICLE. IN THE YEARS THAT HAVE PAST I HAVE MADE CONSTANT CHANGES THAT ARE ONGOING AND APPEAR IN THE VIDEOS I POST EACH WEEK. IT HAS EVOLVED SO I CAN RUN THREE TRAINS AT THE SAME TIME WITH MY GRANDSON AND WITH MY O GAUGE FRIENDS WHO VISIT FOR RUNNING SESSIONS. THE VIDEOS ARE POSTED IN ORDER BY DATE AND IF YOU LOOK CLOSE YOU CAN SPOT CHANGES IN TRACK PLAN THAT ALLOW THE THIRD TRAIN TO RUN INDEPENDENTLY ALONG WITH SCENERY AND DETAILING IMPROVEMENTS. HOPE YOU ARE ENJOYING SHARING OUR PASSION FOR O GAUGE.

I THINK WE ALL HAVE SIMILAR GREAT MEMORIES.EVERY TIME I WORK ON THE LAYOUT IT BRINGS ME BACK TO A PLACE WHERE ARTHRITIS DOES NOT EXIST.
I enjoyed seeing the green Hackensack Medical University boxcar! I don't think too many of us have them.
Outstanding work Windy! I will always remember seeing it in person , visiting with you and Karyn was the highlight of our east coast trip.

More than 25 years ago a fellow modeler and friend named CARLOS SERRA got the parts from an old VCR player and got it to spin exactly the right speed,THAT WAS NOT EASY.I used a plastic figure,a piece of music wire,and the model B25 is ICONIC to me as it is modeled after one flown by the TUSKEEGEE AIRMEN in WW2. In the room next to the train room is an oil painting of the REAL B25 done by THE LATE George Venturini and a MODEL I Made with 6 FT WINGSPAN THAT WON MANY AWARDS IN COMPETITION. it is all very special to me. I will try to include this story on a future train video.We run trains about once a week and I try to post a video of the session to share with everyone.If you enjoyed the video pass on the link to your friends who like trains,motorcycles,or BOTH.
I USUALLY LET MY GRANDSON SET THE CONSISTS,he loves the trains as much as I do and has trains of his own too.

I think we had Super O trains as a kid. My Dad bought us a steam Locomotive, that you could put in a smoke tablets to have smoke coming out. Coal Tender car that had the train whistle I believe. Various cars including the golden yellow BOSCO car that unloaded the "jugs". A Chicken Sweeper car that had a guy come out the car door and "sweep". A missile car that would elevate a missile and fire it! Assorted box cars, tanker cars, etc. Also had a caboose that you could add "smoke oil" to make it smoke as well. We had a 4x8' plywood as a layout board. All Lionel. A few village buildings, street lamps that would glow in the dark.

I remember seeing this in some of your model plane videos....Super detailed...You can even see tiny weeds sticking up out of the ground amazing work...I am hoping to see some Christmas videos like you used to do in your modeling videos...I don't know what it was but watching the Christmas videos like you did just give you a really good feeling and put a smile on my face...

Windy, you truly have an A*** train layout filled with incredible, painstaking detail unlike other videos I’ve viewed elsewhere on CZcams. I am highly impressed with your amazing skills in creating such a realistic layout!
I have 2 questions - First, there must be occasional derailments, so how do you reach them in far off places like inside tunnels, etc.? Do the tunnels lift off?
Second, since you have been on this project a long time, how do you deal with atmospheric dust settling on the layout?

I RARELY HAVE DERAILMENTS BUT WHEN I DO I HAVE BROOMSTICKS WITH WIRE HOOKE TO GRAB THINGS OUT OF MY REACH.I HAVE A DUSTBUSTER TO KEEP IT CLEAN,AND THE MOUNTAINS ARE PERMANENT.THE LAKE BY THE TRAIN STATION LIFTS OUT FOR ACCESS WHEN NECESSARY. I HAVE HAD CELLAR LAYOUTS MUCH BIGGER BUT THIS IS MY FAVORITE,IT IS IN THE ATTIC,NO MOISTURE.HOPE YOU ENJOY THE VIDEOS,SHARE WITH YOUR FRIENDS.
