It works good. Made it just out of curiosity. Used 10k as i didn't have 50k. Difficult to control with 10k, but glad it is working. Thanks, you are the Boss.

@@user-mz1fr9qg9o confirm connections are correct twice ensure, use 50k. Because with 10k it is difficult to fine tune speed. It works 100%. It is very simple circuit. Also ensure components used are not defective.

Tq for sharing.. i try it use 12v fan. But its not working if i use 10k potentiometer. But it work fine when i use 20k potentiometer.

For 12v fan use heatsink for BD 139 as I found it heating during start . Also use 220 Ohms resister from base to ground for 12 v circuit, it starts from 38 degree C. This is very useful if you are using for amplifier running on TRS 5400/1943 or using any heatsink based amplifier.

Bohot acha device hai I really liked it bohot easy hai. Mara pass ek question hai kh auto cut for any battery charger mai mara pass 9.6v 700mah ki battery hai us pa kon sa relay or kon sa R3 lagaoo.

What resistance is needed to start the fan at 50-70 deg C (@ 19V)? Don‘t have any of these small adjustable resistors here.

@@Ethcircuits if we use 12 v supply than with trimmer at full 5k resistance will produce 5.7v base -emmiter voltage for bd139 which is beyond 5V max limit... Can we use the circuit with 5v supply and connect the fan positive with 12v supply? Both supply should have common ground
