Call of Duty: WWII is a first-person shooter video game developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is the fourteenth primary installment in the Call of Duty series and the first one to be set primarily during World War II since Call of Duty: World at War in 2008. The game is set in European theatre of the war. The campaign is centered around a squad in the 1st Infantry Division, and follows their battles in the Western Front, while the multiplayer expands on different fronts not seen in the campaign.
In the single-player campaign, players primarily play as two soldiers of the 16th Infantry Regiment: Private Ronald "Red" Daniels (Brett Zimmerman) and his best friend, Jewish American, Private First Class Robert Zussman (Jonathan Tucker). Additional playable characters include Rousseau (Bella Dayne), a female Maquis leader of the French Forces of the Interior, and Major Arthur Crowley (David Alpay), a British Special Operations Executive officer. Daniels' and Zussman's platoon mates include Technical Sergeant William Pierson (Josh Duhamel), and platoon leader, 1st Lieutenant Joseph Turner (Jeffrey Pierce). Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell and offensive tackle Alejandro Villanueva are set to make a cameo appearance in the game.
The Nazi Zombies story of WWII takes place in an alternate history, where the Nazis have conducted research on necromancy based on the legend of King Frederick Barbarossa's hidden treasure. The story is centered around Marie Fischer (Katheryn Winnick), a young German engineer working with the Office of Strategic Services. Marie's brother, Klaus, has taken part in the research of Barbarossa's treasure, working with Doctor Peter Straub (Udo Kier). Marie is joined by three companions: ex-art thief Drostan Hynd (David Tennant), ex-art historian and French Resistance fighter Olivia Durant (Élodie Yung), and military sergeant Jefferson Potts (Ving Rhames), as they attempt to conduct a covert operation to learn of the Nazis' plans, retrieve the stolen artifacts and rescue Klaus in the process.

My grandfather fought in d day
    He described it as hell
He told me that once they hit the beach and the invasion begun the only thing he saw was blood and helmets flying
He was a sergant and that him and only 12 of his were the only people that got to the beach when the the front of the ship dropped
He told me that one of them was so nervous that he thought he was gonna have cardiac arrest
And when he was on the beach with his men from the small ship they saw a opening in the seawall so they made a
Break for it from 12 men to 3 men when got to the seawall. he ordered his men to keep charging towards the trenches
And when he got there he took a bullet to the leg and shoulder but still kept shooting at the nazis and when the firing stopped for a while he
Gave himself morphine and when him and his friend where charging a bunker he told me
That he grabbed a flamethrower and set them hotter than hell
    He died in 2015

I know it is a year later but, my neighbor who which i grew close to, his father was stationed in pearl harbor during D-Day, he survived both D-Day and the bombing of Pearl Harbor. My neighbor still has a bunch of stuff from him, including a pistol that his family sent to him while serving. (The troops families could send civilian pistols to the U.S troops from their own collection.) Anyways, his father passed away 50 years ago, he died at 50 due to stress from serving. His son / my neighbor went on to be in the Marine Corps as a Scout Sniper. meaning he usually had only 1 person with him, if one person other than him at all. and he would be far behind enemy lines. My neighbor's father and my neighbor were both pretty high ranking (I don't know the exact ranks.) and my neighbor would hunt a lot as a teen because his family didn't have enough money for food, so it doesn't matter how big it is, or how close or far it is. He killed the biggest deer in our county for 30 years untill it was broken, and it was killed by a .22, he needed the food, it didn't make him proud having to put 3 shots in, but they needed the food, so they harvested it.

My great grandfather on my mother's side was saved by an asthma. He was about to board a ship to Normandy. This ship was supposed to dispatch landing craft which would be used to storm Sword beach. He had an asthma attack before going on, and had to go to hospital. The ship was bombed and no one survived (before it reached Normandy). Also, his nurse would become his future wife. Having asthma is shit - but I also wouldn't exist without it.

He looked so lonely so I walked over, thanked him for his service and sat down with him and began a conversation. I learned that he was a member of the 4th Marine division and fought on Iwo Jima. He opened up to me and began telling me about some of the things that he saw and he started to cry. I put my arm around his shoulder and tried to console him as best as I could. Before the attack on Normandy he was deployed out of the air, it was very windy out and he was blown into the water. He some how managed to get back to shore and continue his mission, then the attack happened and uncle George with his squadron landed on the beach, it was so horrific that he never talks about what happened just that one of his closest friends were found dead on the beach. My great uncle was apart of the OSS during WW2. He paradropped into Norway when the Nazis were developing heavy water and paradropped behind enemy lines in France to kill Germans. He didn’t talk much about it but you saw it in his eyes when he spoke. The war never left him. After he came back he never got into a relationship and never had kids. He became a heavy alcoholic till the day he died. I heard stories that he had to take out a sniper that ended up being a teenage boy apart of Hitlers Youth. This is and will always be the greatest generation. A generation of men who went to war knowing they were most likely not going to make it back. They weren’t fighting for their country out on the field. They were fighting for their brothers beside them.

My grandfather was in the Merchant Navy during WW2. I don’t have much to say, but he was the captain of a ship, the Blue Star. It was a shock for him when a big blast shot through the side of the ship. It was a German submarine that took down his ship. When it was finished, all the people inside the ship were scattered across the ocean, shouting for help. My grandfathers friend drowned in front of him in the progress of the missiles. I don’t know how he survived, but it sure sounded like a traumatic experience. He is now 94 years old.

My great grandad fought in the war, not with the Russians or the Americans but the pols. He fought for the polish army during the nazi invasion of Poland, where his family and the men fighting around him were being killed. He was captured by the Germans and after about a day he had already escaped and attempted to flee Poland as he had nothing left there any longer. People would probably call him a coward but the polish army was small and the Germans were in massive numbers. He was just scared like anyone would be, no family or friends left and he was quite young. None of my family really know how but he managed to make his way to Britain where he met an English woman and settled down, but he had post traumatic stress disorder so he was from then on an alcoholic who was a horrible man to both my great grandma and my grandad, until he passed away in 1973 just before my father was born. He would have been referred to as a coward but he already knew that Poland would be lost to the Germans, and it was. I have a massive amount of respect for anyone fighting for their country alongside good men.

Ainsley Harriett he must of been a great man. It shows you don't have to be of a powerful country to have a powerful heart. The Americans always forget about the nation's that won the war, the polish, the British, and the French. And the other countries that fought for some six years. The Americans take all of the credit, but they were cowards for staying out of the war, they should thank us Europeans. If it wasn't for us lot, they wouldn't even be called the USA. But yeah, your great grandfather really did a great thing.

The Roman Catholic Church that's very true, I feel like people fighting in wars are pressured, for a good reason but yet still pressured which isn't great for young scared men with little to any guidance

Lolmqster Android2 yes I'd say the Americans take a lot of credit, and what they did to Japan, even if they had good intentions for the rest of world was not really necessary at all, even if pearl harbour was a tragedy. They were the people who ended the war but they clearly forget what we all had to go through. I respect Russia for storming Berlin, and Maybe because of the fact that we might not have won the war without them. I still have some respect for what America did due to the fact that I think America were trying to help us when Japan saw we were in trouble and tried to take over one of our ruled over countries. And I expect that he was a decent man, and I also expect he had a massive amount of hatred for hitler. If I was actually to go in depth about everything that happened to him and what he went through it would take ever so long to explain :)
