The prefecture of Evritania is almost completely covered by mountains and rivers, and as a result is the most sparsely populated in Greece.
Karpenisi is the colorful #metropolis of Evrytania! It is built on the southwest side of Mount Timfristos at an altitude of 975 meters and lies 285 kilometers away from #Athens.
Traditional #architecture, impressive stone houses with tiled roofs, sidewalks and many corners that offer a unique view that will be unforgettable. In the center of the city dominates the main square and the church of the Holy Trinity. All around, cafes and restaurants invite you to enjoy the local flavors, while the cool air smells of fir, fireplace and well-cooked food!
The area has remarkable #guesthouses and hospitality services, while there are many #winter #sports centers that will properly prepare you for your off-white adventures at the #Velouchi #ski #resort, just 11 km north of the city.
