She had great taste.
Petite Trianon is beautiful!
Poor Marie Antoinette was blamed for extravagance yet it was blown out porportion to what the Aunts of her husband spent on their jewelry, clothes etc.
She was Austrian and a foreigner and the xenophobia that all foreigners face especially since the enmity of France and Austria was deep as their wars between the two countries had been going on centuries.
Also, she disregarded etiquettee which was held by noblewomen who were offended when the jobs they once held was terminated and the spite and jealousy she caused was and issue she was unaware of until she learnt the French people and the courtiers hated her and all the ills of France was blamed on her.
Never had a queen had such character assassination put on her shoulders!
It was cruel and terrifying!😢
I've sometimes been so sorry for her.
R.I.P
I wish France was a Monarch today.
That poor girl got the shaft from start to finish.
❤️ it! More of this, pls!
The costumes are beautiful ❤️💖🌸
I swear they used one of those dresses in The Duchess. I remember the pattern. Soooo pretty!!
And what about that "Hairdo"?? That thing is Hard to Look At!!
@@gailcurl8663 definitely a lot of teasing and embellishments to achieve a hairstyle like that 😂
Love this channel!
oui!
That’s what I thought. It was already there when she became Queen. I went there in 1994 and dropped my camera on the floor. The people who worked there weren’t too happy with me!
@@danialeatherman8934 it was a genuine mistake, I'm sure.
is le petit Trianon everything that you expected this palais to be or even more spectacular.
oh, i would be in raptures as Madame du Barry lived there before la reine Marie Antoinette.
how sad Madame de Pompadour never lived long enough to occupy this enchanting palais!
Really hope you enjoyed the designs, porportions and craftmanship.
lucky you!
God Save The King.
Long Live The King.
Antoinette NEVER played shephardess. Also, Louis XV built the Petit Trianon for himself at the suggestion of Madam Pompadour, not FOR her.
History REALLY played her a horrible deck: she actually was an incredibly kind woman-🙋🏻♂️🐈🥰❤️💝
Will there be more parts?
Hi! Yes, there will be two more parts, one of them should be published in the coming weeks :)
Petit Trianon maybe delicately beautiful but its also insulting to the reality peasants lived with. By isolating herself in Petit Trianon, Marie Antoinette neglected her duties as queen.
I wish France was a Monarch today.
I don't think the majority of French people would wannt a monarchy!
To them its too outdated and I don't think they'd take kindly to aristocrats and royalty unlike England.
Long live the Queen 👑⚜️
oui, Vivre la reine!
What? That nasty crust was beheaded for being a bigot. Are you serious? She was the worst!
Yes.
GOD SAVE THE QUEEN.
LONG LIVE THE QUEEN.

@@robnewman6101 She doesn't live. She's dead and so is the Monarchy. You're ignorant to the fact of her evil deeds and cruelty towards people. She was drowning I wealth while over 99% of the country was starving. Who's your other role model, Adolf Hitler? Read a history book!
World long live the queen
I discovered I’m related to Marie Antoinette on my patrilineal ancestry. I’ve been researching her ever since
Let them eat ... gluten-free cake
Vegan and nut free!
Le siecle des lumiere
Age of decay and violence
It's the Petit Trianon.
The English talking over the French is confusing but its beautiful!
Some interesting like.
It’s not a palace. It’s a little pavilion.
Actually, the term palace may be applied to a grande home.
Poor Marie.. 😢
Yeah.
R.I.P
Me and Maria Antoinette have the same ancestor from my mother side, that what my DNA test proof.
How fascinating!! 🤨 I am a descendant on Ponce De Leon. Been proved by experts!!
Louis XV built the Petite Trianon for Madame Pompadour.
@tedwatson9929 Louis XV built the Petit Trianon for himself at the suggestion of Madam Pompadour. Not for her.
podieron reformar y cambiarlo todo y no hacieron nada
Was Louis XIV blamed for any shortfalls in the royal treasury?
What an oxymoron . Marie Antoinette brought to you by …..Slice History .🥴
Aha! How smart you are!
Poor dear, Marie Antoinette, meet Madame Le Guillotine.
Yet the financial ills of France began with Loius XIV with his costly wars especially in the last years of his life fighting the Dutch anf the economic woes of the French state was rendered a hopeless case.
Louis XIV never actually paid off the deficit of te building of Versailles which amounted millions of livres!
His great grandson, Loius XV had that appalling mess to contend with.
Yet Marie Antoinette was blamed and she was called, Madame Deficit.
So tragic for this persecuted queen.
@@whanuipuru4446Marie Antoinette was literally a scapegoat, it was a taboo talking bad about the King, but a Queen, a woman and a *foreigner,* not only that but an *austrian?* She was the pergect scapegoat for those who wanted to criticize the Monarchy but were too coward to criticize the King
@@igorlopes7589 how right you are!
a foreigner, an Austrian and also her husband was influenced by one of tutors? to distrust la dauphine before their marriage.
It is horrible and very sad that circumstances were against this most maligned queen.
I seriously think she was dumb. How can she not see this was a bad idea...m😅
She was spoiled and unfortunately flighty and thoughtless. Her mother knew she wasn’t up to the job but there was no choice.
@@shelleydaly1726 husband was even worse 😅
Her head fell off
