    I have put a Probucker 2 from my Epi Les Paul in bridge, had wired to Blender config. Works great.

      Geez, 71 and forgot to say your video was perfect. Now I understand what the Blender knob does technically. Also not overdone, too many comedians wannabes😁

    Really liked positions 1 & 5 blended. I still prefer the S1 switching from series to parallel. Though I hardly use it, still nice to have options. Thank you for not using distortion =)

      likewise! bringing some of the neck in with the bridge is nice to have, and results in a cool tone.

    I'm a simple guy, usually HH 1vol 1tone and today arrived a squier classic vibe I bought used off of reverb. It has this mod and the greasebucket mod.
    Is overwhelming. 😂

    Well presented demo, this is a fantastic mod, highly recommended. Do you know if it would work on a HSS configuration?

    • @PorterPickups
      @PorterPickups  Před 2 lety +2

      Thank you! it can work on HSS no problem. It's also nice to add in the split on the bridge humbucker to make the blender even more versatile.

      @@PorterPickups I've done the mod in my SSS Strat and put a phase switch push pull on the other tone knob. Works really well being able to just add just a touch of out of phase tone. Going to attempt it on my HSS with a series-split-parallel on-on-on mini toggle on the humbucker.

    Thank you. One question: Is the Blender either completely on or off as you are demonstrating, or can you blend in a varying amount of the pickup being included?

    • @PorterPickups
      @PorterPickups  Před 4 měsíci +1

      It blends in the pickup as you turn, and it’s probably slower or faster blend depending on the pot sweep

    What happens if you go half way? is there micro adjustments?

    • @PorterPickups
      @PorterPickups  Před 3 lety

      it usually rolls it in slowly so the "center" is going to vary between pots.

    Hello, does anyone know if I can plug a bridge hot rail to this blender setup? Essentially HSS from the wiring pov.

    • @PorterPickups
      @PorterPickups  Před rokem

      yes that will work with the blender knob as well

  • @grupoboheme906
    @grupoboheme906 Před rokem +1

    The blender is used as a blender resistor or is it on or off¿? CHEERS!!

    • @PorterPickups
      @PorterPickups  Před rokem

      its just the pot for this setup, so its essentially on or off with the taper but it does add in amounts as you sweep the pot. it depends on the quality of the pot taper for this setup on how much range you get

  • @johnnymcribblestonebreaker5910

    The blended sounds are in parallel - right? I've wondered what it would sound like to have a bridge single coil full-on, and then blend in a bit of the neck in series, or vice versa...maybe that'd be awful, i dunno!

    • @PorterPickups
      @PorterPickups  Před 3 lety

      Yep! It's nice to experiment with different tones, and the blender allows for it!
