- Middle of Lidl special; set up guide and mini review of the SilverCrest Mini Oven - £39.99
We have reviewed a similar product from Aldi, and wanted to see if this oven offered similar performance. These type of appliances would be ideal as a "travel" oven/grill for camping or caravanning - But equally as usefull in the home as they are quite energy efficient for the size.

I bought one of these mini ovens yesterday, but was disappointed that it is not large enough for standard 32cm baking sheets. But no worries, I found two smaller sheets in Boyes. So far I've only cooked beer battered cod from Aldi, which turned out very nice and crispy. For just under 40 quid I think this mini oven is a good purchase. I had my previous mini oven for 15 years and the door kept sticking, so it was time for a replacement.
Yes, it’s quite small, but works well. We also love the Aldi beer battered cod, delicious. If your old one lasted 15 years that’s great, hopefully this will be as well built. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment.
Thanks for the great product review! Helpful information!
Great review of the mini oven and the chicken looks fabulous 👍
Your review of the SilverCrest Mini Oven is detailed and honet nicely done my dear friend take care.
These things are so convenient. I love these small ovens. That is a really cool looking oven. LIKE 9. 👍👍👍👍
Great sharing always. Amazing
I love this thanks for sharing
they are very useful when travelling we have one almost identical to this except our one has a fan too
*always full view💯Au👍thumbs up*
Great review of the mini oven. Looks nice and convenient.
It is a really neat little oven. Slightly smaller than my previous one, but this one works fine. Be aware that it won't accept 32cm wide baking sheets/trays. The max width internally is 26.5cm x 24cm..
Since my "main" oven decided to stop working I have been using one of these exclusively. Suits me down to the ground. Highly recommended.
I must admit it’s working out great for us and costing less than using the big oven for small portion cooking. Thanks for stopping by.
Looks like a nice oven 👍
Got one of these ovens a month ago and as you say they do take a little longer to cook larger portions of food. Good review!
Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to comment.

Я купила использованную без инстр.Спасибо за обзор.Пользовалась,-
понравилось тем,что после нескольких часов после готовки,оставив в духовке пищу,я смогла еще накормить внуков не разогревая...Меня это обрадовало...❤
That’s great. We’re happy you found our video useful ☺️
Another great review or a great looking product 👍🥰 This could change my life at work 🤔 no more crappy Microwave meals I could eat some proper food 🤣 I’ll have to have words with the rest of the office, see if they want to Chip in 😳🤣 hope your weekend has be fun, have a lovely week ahead ❤️xx
That's a great bargain, I wonder if LIDL will make a microwave with grill / oven someday, thanks for the video x

In terms of being economical, a significant part is choosing economical dishes to cook. Example: whole chicken and jacket potatoes are not economical, wherever we cook them. But smaller pieces of chicken with a high meat yield, e.g. thighs are a much better option money-wise.
We do get plenty from a chicken and use it for a roast dinner, then strip the last meat from it to make a curry. Then we boil the carcass to make stock 😊
My brother uses his pressure cooker for cooking it takes thirty minutes to cook a whole chicken (and that's what I call economy money saving).
Hi and welcome. Thank you so much. This is very useful and we’ve used it quite a lot when we’re cooking small portions rather than our big oven. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment 😊
Can i please ask where you bough😢the tile that is underneath the oven? It look😢like a great idea to protect and keep the worktop cool. thanks
We picked that up from Dunelm. It’s very heavy but great for protecting the worktop 😊
A very fair review, nicely done.
My daughter could use one in her accommodation at university...
Thank you for stopping by :o)
How did this Silvercrest Mini Oven compare with the Ambiano Mini Oven please, which was best and most efficient? Thank you. Rose 🥀
Both are really useful but we slightly prefer the Ambiano one :o)
@@Mandyglen Thank you 😃👍🥀
But you can't put in on wooden work surface? Is that work top marble.
Yes, it is safe to use on wooden worktop :o)
Thanks for posting this video🙏🏼🪷🙏🏼
Glad you found it useful. Thanks for stopping by 😊
Thank you! I bought the oven today. I returned an air fryer because it dried out all the food. Give me a mini oven any day! Please can you tell me what music you used in the end? Around 5:10 mins. I shazammed it and I think it’s The Last Stand Ensemble de Musique Zen Relaxante & Deep Sleep Music Delta Binaural 432 Hz but I can’t find it anywhere. Thank you.
Yes, we've had food dry out at times. Not sure about the music but it might be listed in the description below the video. Thanks for stopping by.
Hi good afternoon if a may ask how much is the cooker ?
We paid £39.99
I purchased a LIDL SilverCrest Mini Oven @ 1200W in the Autumn of 2017 in Edinburgh. In over six years, we have never used the main cooker and oven since purchasing this unit. The thermostat is now stuck at about 230 degrees Celsius. It cost about GBP 40 amazing value. Will be replacing it with another mini oven, this time with a few more features and increased power between 1,500 - and 1,600 Watts. A good LIDL oven review worth watching, for potential mini oven purchasers, on CZcams, CUISTO VIDEO, LIDL mini-four SILVERCREST SGBR 1500 D4 à chaleur tournante GRILL Mini Ovens Mini-Öfen ( Large Main Oven use between 3,000 to 4,000 Watts per hour about £1.50 - 2.00 GBP per hour ) 02 02 2024 UK

Not bad but it’s ridiculously small, I doubt you could do a standard pizza in there, look’s only big enough for 6” inch mini pizzas, everything definitely is ‘mini’ about it, only thing worth it is the 3 year warranty (keep that receipt safe)!
Can i bake a bread with that?
Yes. It works like a regular oven so you can cook anything that you normally would 🎄
Unless it's a convection oven do not waste your money convection ovens cook quicker than oven's without convection.
They do cook faster but use more energy to run. This uses a lot less energy than my big convection oven and is much cheaper to use if I’m only cooking small portions or single items like a lasagne.
Will i agree a convection oven is better, for smaller portions like a single person meal or reheating a few leftovers it's nice to have this handy x
But but your chicken doesn't loo like it's done: not crunchy at all!
It was well fully cooked and safe to eat but if you like the skin to be darker or crunchier you could simply cook it for longer uncovered. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
Hello, I watched this video and got ispirated by you warming the plates on top of the oven so I put my frozen pizza there and put on the oven. It did not warm up at all and then I got really sad :( not a very helpfull tip
Just to clarify we do NOT recommend putting food on top of this oven. It is not designed for defrosting, warming or cooking food on top.
Chicken 15 mins or 50 mins longer?(couldnt make out what she said
Apologies. It was 15 minutes longer. Thanks for stopping by 😊
Ah yes she put on a stone Work top underneath stop it heating the worktop
I used the stone first few times to check it didn't cause any heat damage but it does not so I can use it directly on my worktop :o)
