Think about it this way, dogs have such a hard time losing weird that 1lb on a human is equivalent to 10lbs on a dog. So if your dog is 3lbs overweight, that’s like you being 30lbs overweight. It’s so much harder for them to lose the weight. I work in animal nutrition and if anyone needs some help with having their dog lose some weight, feel free to message me. I can give you a few tips and tricks that could help you.

Fat isn't the worst thing an animal can be. They could be rabid, venemous, trained for violence, or just plain assholes (I'm looking at you, hippos, you savage douchebags). Fat needs to stop being shamed. Overweight does not always mean unhealthy. The more you shame a body, the more that person shames themselves, often leading to self harm and suicide. It needs to stop. All bodies are different. All bodies are a gift. All bodies should be treated with respect.
I’ve been trying to work with my cat in regards to weight loss, and yes I’d say this guy does have his work cut out helping that dog lose weight. Hopefully he is trying to help the dog lose weight, but unfortunately many people out there don’t try to help their animals be healthy. In fact sometimes they deliberately make their animals fat for views, which is just plain wrong! Obesity kills, and if that dog doesn’t lose the weight it will die as a result.
