Today I review the Pantasy Gumball Machine set 85016. Find out what I think about my build experience and thoughts about this modular style building. The set retails for about half the price of other modulars but is it worth it?

As a member of the PAN, can you answer me one question? Is the person who handles all of your inquiries known as the PANhandler?

Great review. I passed some of your “jokes” on to a friend who loves puns!

    Hey!
I saw this a few weeks ago on a German website and it blew me away!
I’ve been buying alternative bricks for sometime now as I really can’t justify the exorbitant prices being charged by the Danes.
I’ve not been disappointed with my purchases. And, this will be another to add to my growing collection.
LEGO, quite recently, did approve an ideas submission for a very similar build. It’ll be interesting to see their version and how much they’ll charge. It’ll also be interesting to see how many stickers they include in the set. I love the fact that Pantasy offer so many pad-printed pieces!
Great review. I especially liked how you didn’t rely on the use of puns or gumball jokes!

Thanks. Not all brick sets are equal, however it’s great for consumers that we have some other companies really competing with comparable products at a more affordable price point.

That set actually looks like its intended purpose. It is a good mimic of the historic machine and the gold and silver look great. Lego is releasing a Minifigure dispenser sometime in the future. I wonder how good it will look in comparison. Somehow I doubt it will be as nice and will likely be double the price. One thing that Lego recently did to protect the clear plastic is putting the windshield(s) in a separate bag. I recently built the Classic Corvette and while all the # bags were still plastic they used paper for the windshields individually. The windshields looked so good without the scratches. So hopefully the paper bag future will have less scratched parts.

Nothing worse than building your set for the first time and finding a bigscratch across the clear window

Did you scan through Joey's joke book at Brickworld? 😂 Seriously, the "metal" part in front looked so good I couldn't tell it was brick built until zooming in. If I still worked in an office, I'd get that for my desk.

Another 3rd party LEGO company made a robot gumball machine, but the capsules are smaller.

Ive held off on the Pantasy buildings because Lego does buildings, but Lego does not make one of these, and lets be fair it is stunning. This will be the one that gets me over my Lego only hump. And if its as good as it looks then that sweet bakery or 221b wont be far behind, Lego may need to watch the competition because I truly love metallic parts and no stickers, are you listening Lego?

For me it was always stupid little figures, bouncy balls or capsules filled with slime. Not sure why I always wanted the slime but I do know why my mom always said no.
