Ikr, everybody freaks out about the speed metal riffs later in the track, and don't get me wrong there are multiple points in this song that are incredible, but this interlude is one of the most special/impressive parts of a metal song ever. So much more layering that you can only really hear when it's isolated here. I'll best most fans have no idea there's both an acoustic and bass guitar in this bit

Listened to this song for years and never heard it like this, so hidden in the full mix and yet one of the best riffs in the track. Reminds me of how the Frayed Ends rhythm behind the solo is usually looked over.
@@JumprsOfficial It really is very low in the mix. I could tell something was there, and when I heard it here and clearly, it was so pleasing. I even learned it on the guitar shortly afterwards. 😆 Too lazy to look up the tabs and too low in the mix to play it by ear. 😂
It sounds so strong here, but in the main mix this is under two other layers of harmonized guitars... can't complain because the end result is incredible too

And part of the spoken word in the middle of the song was taken from something Cliff supposedly wrote. Most of it is a quote from a poet named Paul Gerhardt, but it's been said that the last line of the spoken word was from a notebook of Cliff's. So that is why he's given partial writing credit on the song. But the majority of the song was material written by James as a tribute to Cliff.
how did you manage to extract these guitars?!?!?!?! they were so hidden in the mix not even the isolated tracks from the guitar hero files have them extracted. This is awesome i can finally learn the song correctly now
I found a CZcams channel that had the individual tracks for James and Kirk, and I found a few bits in the vocal track as well. I just edited each track accordingly to get a true rhythm track.

@CaptainRudy4021 the reason they record 8 tracks, is because you can have less distortion and quad track the guitars, and it sounds heavy as hell
