The part about your family ruining the Berlin trip was extremely relatable for me. For some reason I was always closed off to others. My family would always try to coax me out of my shell. And when I did, I always wound up regretting it. The passions and dreams I shared with them became a point of ridicule and annoying and unfunny "jokes". At worst, it became ammunition to attack me with during an argument. After becoming an adult, I've learned to keep my conversations with family brief and shallow. If you can't trust your family to understand you, how could you expect anything more from random normies?
This is the way. The most brutal thing is no woman will love a suboptimal man with no relations with his family. Furthermore I would argue having such a shitty family life makes you have an undesirable insecurely attached personality. I have all those things, it sentences you to be an outcast for life. I'd all of my relationships die because I never let people know anything beyond me. Anything to do with my family is off limits because I'm so ashamed of them.

Caring about animals is usually associated with higher intelligence in my experience. Not to say that there aren’t smart people that are cruel to animals, but more often than not I notice that trait in higher IQ people.

Berlin lol The city's history is extremely interesting and I cringed about how your "family" interacted with you on your "birthday gift" - they seem to be plain, boring and desinterested in actual culturally activities. Mate, I'm from Berlin, so if you're visiting the city in April I would be open to show you around and "guide" a bit through the city with the perspective of a born and raised Berliner (i'm 28, bp HTN - was very overweight in my younger years and therefore had to experience a sub-5-male life-experience and so got bp, even if I do not look like that anymore).
