We don't care who buys our items as long as they don't come in and act entitled to a cheaper price. Or ask us to reduce an item because they won't make a decent profit on it. A sale is a sale! But if you try and ask for money off you're a cheeky bugger 😂😂😂😂
I don’t think we’ve ever haggled in a charity shop, more than happy to pay whatever prices are on the items. I mean if we find a bargain like anyone we are super happy! Although on occasion we have been asked to make a offer, to which we price according to the market. You wouldn’t haggle in tescos! Retail is Retail whether a charity shop or not!

Wow what a great video, such great information. I watched a trinny video on her showing her shoe collection and she had hundred and she talked about clothing she’s got that where her mums. I totally get there an investment and love your passion for clothes. My amazing daughter trained at the royal college of needle work and work on a few Alexandra McQueen run way, I’ve still got magazines cut out of them.

Had a similar thing happen on a pair of vintage Levi cords. Tag came off when I was looking at the price and although they honoured the deal. I was accusingly told "We don't normally sell levis for £3.75"
There’s always one….. and it’s always the one behind the till! 😂😂
This is probably because in charity shops we get a lot of customers ripping off tickets from high value items in the hope they'll get them cheaper. Jokes on them as we generally know what we price items as in our shops. Obviously sometimes items get priced by volunteers too and get priced waaaaay cheaper than they should, so the customer gets a mega bargain
I think this situation was more based on a past encounter and the knowledge of us being resellers. The initial questioning of the tag not being correct, I wouldn’t dream of changing a label, we were super excited to find a bargain! It’s the joy of charity shopping. Completely understand the frustration of the manager realising a item had been underpriced potentially, however as customers we shouldn’t necessarily be made to feel responsible or blamed for it. To be fair as we go on to discuss the trousers have been significantly damaged, and we we have to undergo restoration, so perhaps they were priced in accordance!

The prices in the charity shops in the uk are crazy,and so are you if you think you will get the prices you were quoting,madness.
The prices in charity shops are in line with inflation and and the cost of new goods. As long as the condition is okay, we haven’t got a issue with the cost of charity shops at all. Plus it does to charity.
However the prices we quote and get are in reflection to the market value of rare, unusual prices.
For example in reference to this video a 1973 Mugler dress would be considered a rare piece with current retail on Mugler being on average between £1.2k and £1.5k

20 years is vintage. 100 antique. So anything from 2003 backwards is officially vintage
