I saw it a week before it closed when they had no idea that it would close it was AMAZING THEY WERE SOOOOOOO GOOD! oh my gosh and my band teachers best friend was it the orchestra and so we got to meet LAUREN GRAHAM and other people and she signed my program!
Right... Lauren's supposed to sound nasel and girlie and mid century bronks-ish... not easy to be asethically pleasing and be 'in' character musically...
Lauren actually sings well in my opinion, but the character of Adelaide demands her accent and voice inclination, which is why it doesn't sound vocally nice. Of course, kate is a better singer, I must agree ;)
aw sooo good. i agree with LukeLovesLorelai07 on saying that i think i was better at the theatre. but it could be the weeks and weeks of doing this show finally wearing down on their voices, and it could be the fact that they are not in their costumes. it leaves too much to the imagination when you sing like this, when eveyone is used to the blonde wig
@leriejane It does a little bit in this clip, but then again, I'm sure on broadway in costume and makeup her performance is totally different.:) She seemed a little nervous in this. But I love her anyway!
This song is representative of the single leading cause of divorce. Lauren and Kate rocked it of course, but those expectations only lead to heartbreak.
leriejane she seems confused how to play it, I heard they didn’t want Adelaide seem dumb in this production but whatever they asked Lauren to do just kills the humor. She looks misdirected to me.
Lauren is fabulous and I love her as an actress but not as a music theatre performer. She pales horribly in comparison to Kate and she looks very awkward. Her voice is alright but it's not a Broadway voice.

Pretty good, but Lauren seemed really unsure of herself (she stumbled a bit). Her voice was pretty good, the the skit was awkward.
