- This arrangement of the classic Rolling Stones tune (and inspired by Netflix Series - "Wednesday") was something I decided to arrange/record this week after watching the viral video clip of the show. I think the show has inspired a lot of people to learn the cello. It's performed in d minor and there's no sheet music for it - just a collection of thoughts I wrote down on paper.

Such a beautiful arrangement, my brother gave me his Primavera 200 Cello. I’ve looked at signing up for your course but worried I have absolutely no experience and feel a little intimidated starting with no understanding of anything. Is your course suitable for someone starting from the absolute bare basics including not being able to read music yet? Thank you for your lovely videos.
Hi Katie - no need to be intimidated. I even have a lesson on how to take the cello out of the bag! Honestly, it's a very, very detailed course and you'll learn to read the music note by note. People who really take the time to follow the advice on the lessons, practice with the interactive music and engage with the community DO learn! And as a big plus, Cello Discovery is very affordable.

Just do it! Carolyn starts at the very beginning but then progresses through the levels, so you will grow and grow with her. Such detailed videos you will feel she is right there with you.

Haha! I've already been asked that multiple times. I am asking some of my colleagues if someone is up for the transcription task. I can do it, it will just take me some time. Looking for a speedy friend to do it. I'll keep you all posted on here!

Aaaw, thanks! When I recorded it, there wasn't any sheetmusic out yet which transcribed it from the series (at least I couldn't find any). It's all over the place now. I like "Paint it Black" so I decided to do a version which was more a melding of the two pieces. D minor was a simple enough key to get it done fairly quickly. :)

The actor of Wednesday played it herself! I was impressed when I heard that haha.
Follow up, she didn't play every scene, but most of them. Learnt the cello in like 2 months for it
@@_vLinks Nope. She is definitely not the cellist you are hearing on the soundtrack. She worked for several months with a cello trainer so she could at least fake along with the music somewhat realistically. That's what a lot of non-cellist or non-musician actors do when they have to look like a real one in the movies.
@@cellodiscovery Most sources I've found say she played the parts (mostly, hence my additional comment) where her face was, and the close-ups (harder parts) were a professional as, as a cellist myself, I agree could definitely not be learnt in that time even with rigorous training, sorry for the long comment lol
