I'm trying to do this right now and literally two out of three runes reset about 1-1.5 seconds after I hit them 😭 how the heck is anyone supposed to hit them all in in that amount of time? 😭
The trick is to do C first. It lasts way longer than the other 2. And use a sonic arrow between the other 2 to knock the wall down and use quick turn (L1 and down button)
This took me a good 20 or so tries and a lot of cursing to make it, but I didn't want to resort to extending the puzzle timer. I positioned myself as close as possible to the unlit torch and the guy dangling from the ceiling next to the doorway. That way you can barely see the rune in the cave. Then hit them in the order: cave, pit, doorway (with L2+R1).
I did this way faster and still wasn't fast enough but my son showed me that I could go to settings,then adjust the puzzle timing.You can adjust it so the letters don't respawn so fast.After that I got it on the first try 🤣.Kind of cheating but hey it worked.
Following up on what someone else said here: The R lamp is shortest so hit it last The N lamp is medium The C lamp is longest TDLR hit the lamps in the order of their letters on the chest for minimum frustration
he has the timing on slow. Trick is to HIT C first then run to where u broke the wood panel to see both bells from there, you hit N after that one but make sure to line yourself up so you can L1 down and turn quick to get the R bell.
Quick tip: oberseve the patten on the chest. For the two cymbals on the left and right, you have to be lighting fast. So hit the alone one and then in order from the chest, hit the other two as fast a possible. Worked for me when thinking in this way
After trying this method a bunch with no success you will find an easier one. Everyone is taking a bunch of tries because its technically incorrect. When you come through gate for access to lantern R look to your left and use green arrows to break the barrel thus revealing a see through to lantern N. You'll want to stand just in front of the normal chest that is in the same room closer to N. Simply hit the C lantern with a bunch of time then stand between N and R, hit, 90 degree turn, hit again. You will want to hit C N then R. Easy peasy.
Much easier way is to hit the middle one first but before that, line up the height of the far one then twist the body at the same height to hit the middle one. Then you can simply hit the middle one then the far one in two or three goes then the close one
I think it is easier to do CNR sequence. So.....C is last longest, you have plenty of time to hit other bells. So C should be hit first. Then turn left, to hit N which is hardest to hit, but the axe travel largest distance. This is the key, after you throw the axe to hit N, you need to rotate kratos immediately to left hand side again (NOT after the axe return to you）. Once you hear the bell, you should pretty much already aiming to “R” and then you return the axe and hit that

You need to do it in a certain order. I went cave, door way, pit. Because the pit respawn timer is the shortest, you cannot hit another without it respawning. It needs to be last

For future people looking this up if you’re having trouble with the timing save yourself the stress/rage/frustration and just put extended puzzle + on in accessibility options. I myself have no patience to be retrying some fuckin timed puzzle in this shit game 50 times just for 1 piece of some insignificant minuscule health or rage upgrade. Moving on….
Ok I ended up shooting 4 sidgil arrows (pink) on top of one another at N to make the orb huge. I stood near N. Looked down at C. I lined up my shot for C from as far away as I could using R2. When I threw. I turned around to N. Once I heard the chime I called my axe back right away... Then r2 throw at the pink orb. Once I did I called it back and hit R right away... Lol 11 tries
This is straight up impossible. I've been here for 2 hours. I've looked at all the comments and all the tips and tried it every single way imaginable. I've even aimed it perfectly and missed the clock by a Milli second. Do I just suck? Will I ever have the skill to do this?
Apparently you can change timer settings to make these puzzles easier. But yes, it is possible on normal timer. Just need to hit last 2 bells quickly. 1st bell has huge timer so you plenty of time to get into position
If you’re trying to shoot the objects from the first side you come through, you have to keep progressing, then go around and go in the room to shoot them like in the video. Was trying to do that before I saw this
You hit the C first and then you run fast to the torch in the pathway and you hit N and R as fast as possible. Dont try to hit all three of them from the same position, you will never make it.
Every single Nornir chest, even the ones in Ivaldis workshop, I was able to get in no longer than 5 minutes in GOW4. This chest, this fucking chest, after half an hour, I said fuck it, imma put the puzzle timer up. Put it back to normal after tho, but fuck this chest.
It’s a great game but they definitely went too far on some of these “puzzles”. Great continuation of the story but the game is just a “bit too much” on pretty much everything else. Devs sometimes seem to forget players have a life outside of their game as well as other games we would prefer to be playing instead of hitting bells 25 times.

I think he has the puzzle timer set down to low (available in the setting menu) I tried it his way for about 20 mins and could not get it, no matter how fast I was. I did get it but had to go in a different order, cave, pit, then door way.
It's definitely possible bro. I did try about 50 times tho, smh. The key is making accurate 2nd and 3rd throws. Hit the C, then run to the right, into position in between the last two where you can turn around, I didn't even use the quick turn. Definitely not easy tho💯

I honestly HATE these portions of the game. 3second to get from one to another and try and aim and hit them >< followed ur order and still failing bc my slow reflex. 🐌

There’s an easier way. Hit 1st as per video but then run to peninsula (between 2nd & 3rd bells). Hit 2nd then turn 180 to hit 3rd

C has massive timer. No need for long throw. Just hit C then get into position to hit N & R quickly

Nah. Climb onto the ledge that's behind and to the left of the Nornir chest. You can climb the wall that's right behind the Nornir chest.
